DX Engineering Phased Array Quarter Wave Tuned Cables ensure optimum pattern control and gain from your phased antenna system. These cables are custom built to your array frequency, made with the highest quality waterproof PE jacketed, direct-burial RG-11/U 75-ohm low-loss foam coaxial cable and terminated with silver plated PL-259s. From the system phasing unit to each array element, these phasing feed-lines are one quarter wavelength long electrically, which differs from the free-space dimension by the velocity factor of the cable. The electrical dimensions of these cables are critical to system performance.

These cables, manufactured to DX Engineering specifications, have a nominal velocity factor of 0.82, providing plenty of physical length for easy burial and routing from the base of the vertical to the center-mounted controller.

DX Engineering Phased Array Quarter Wave Tuned Cables are custom built by DX Engineering. Each is hand crafted and electronically tuned to a specific HF frequency. Typically, they are tuned to the same frequency as the antenna array.
