This cable is required by the DXE-RT4500HD Heavy Duty Rotators, and OR-2800 positioners, for runs up to 400 ft., this control cable is also useful for prop-pitch motors and many other high-torque, heavy-duty rotators that use two-wire DC drive and a shielded pair for pulse position feedback. This is also great cable for relay power control and remote preamplifier systems located far from the station.

The positioner motor is served with two 12 AWG 65-strand low-resistance, unshielded tinned-copper conductors with black and white PVC insulation, wrapped in clear tape. This heavy cable bundle is covered in a tough, 35 mil waterproof black polyethylene jacket that is about 0.375 inch diameter overall. This direct-bury capable and UV-resistant cable has markings that designate DXE-CW1812OR 18/2C with Shield plus 12/2C, with 300V and 75 degrees Celsius ratings, and RoHS compliance.
