DX Engineering Coax Cable Stripping Tools provide an easy way to prepare your 50 ohm coax cable for the installation of solder-type PL-259 (UHF-male) and 2-piece solder-type "N" connectors. These handy coax cable strippers work on foam or solid dielectric cables with a precision, 2-step operation. DX Engineering strippers are made with premium, long-lasting, tool-steel cutter blades for clean coaxial cable preparation. These cable stripping tools are intended to be used ONLY on PVC and PE jacketed coaxial cables, not ultra-flex soft rubber-like Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) jacket. Use our red DXE-UT-8213 Coax Cable Stripper for 0.405 in. OD cables. These preparation tools will allow you to strip the coaxial cable with special dimensions to facilitate a unique method of soldering the shield to the back of the connector, proven at the K3LR world-wide contest station. DXE-UT-8213 cutter blades are designed to cut through the more rigid materials encountered with high quality coaxial cables with an OD of 0.405 in with PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and PE (polyethylene) jackets. DX Engineering PL-259 Connector Assembly Tools are designed for threading solder-type PL-259 connector sleeves onto the vinyl jacket of RG-8/U, RG-213/U and other similar-sized 0.405 nominal diameter cables. First, properly prepare the coaxial cable and then place the threaded sleeve of the PL-259 connector over the end of the coaxial cable. DX Engineering Type-N Connector Assembly Tools

DX Engineering Type-N connector assembly tools allow for the threading of the 2-piece Type-N solder-type connector sleeve onto the vinyl jacket of RG-8/U, RG-213/U and other similar sized cables. It's so easy! First, properly prepare the coaxial cable. Then place the prepared coaxial cable end into the body of the Type-N connector and make sure that all of the strands of the cable's center conductor are inserted into the center pin. Use the patented* DX Engineering Type-N connector assembly tools to thread the Type-N connector body onto the stripped cable end. DX Engineering LPB-B Low Power Balun Center Insulators feature an amazing Hi-CMI 50-ohm 1:1 Balun built onto a Center Insulator board, and a BNC female right-angle connector pre-installed. DX Engineering Band Link Kits

DX Engineering Band Link Kits (DXE-LINK-KIT) are insulators and wire clips, used to "add a band" to a portable wire antenna. These are the same band link parts as supplied with the DX Engineering Low Power Portable Dipole and Winder Kits. Band Links make manual band changes 'quick and easy' on portable 'low-to-the ground' resonant portable dipoles deployed as center-fed single support inverted-vee antennas, and on resonant end-fed antennas. Band Links are sold as a pair for a dipole. Alligator clips on the corresponding pair of Band Links are disconnected to change the dipole to the next higher band and are connected to change the resonance to the lower band. Only one link changes the band on a resonant end-fed wire. Band Links can be used to change the resonant (low SWR) frequency of a dipole or end-fed from CW to digital, and another to phone, and so on. Each DXE-LINK –KIT contains: • 2 Link Insulators – which support the wire and may be used to "break up" the wire antenna into multiband sections. • 4 Alligator Clips - two per Band Link. Two Band Links, one for each wire antenna leg, are included with the DX Engineering Low Power Portable Dipole and Winder Kit to make it a two-band antenna. Adding this second pair would make the dipole a three-band antenna, and a third pair will make the dipole a four-band resonant antenna, and so on.
