DX Engineering PRO-STACK Broadband Antenna Phasing Switches
DX Engineering PRO-STACK Broadband Antenna Phasing Switches are newly designed to combine two identical Yagi or log periodic beams, or three quarter-wave vertical antennas, into a phased array for enhanced operation. There is no need for coaxial delay lines with the DX Engineering PRO-STACK switches. Just connect your antennas to the phasing switch controller with equal-length 50 ohm lines. PRO-STACK switch units are available with high-quality PTFE-silver plated SO-239 (UHF female) connectors. These relay units are 1-of-3 source voltage controlled at 12-15VDC over a four conductor cable. A matching Control Console is available separately or is included in the PRO-STACK System. These phasing switches can be used for any applications that require the following four basic antenna feed selections: both antenna ports in-phase, both antenna ports out-of-phase, antenna port 1 only, and antenna port 2 only. The default is both output ports in-phase. Impedance matching automatically changes when any antenna port is disconnected. Generally, stacked Yagi antennas are separated vertically greater than 1/2-wavelength free space. Since the DX Engineering PRO-STACK Broadband Antenna Phasing Systems are broadband, they may be easily adapted to larger arrays. For example, four stacked Yagis may be combined by creating two sets of two, and then using a third DX Engineering control console to combine the first two sets. PRO-STACK switches can also be used to feed three quarter wave resonant vertical antennas for a high-gain 4-pattern array. In this arrangement, the center #2 passive element is directly grounded to a good ground radial system at all times, while the end elements #1 and #3 are then fed in various phase relationships by the PRO-STACK. Details are in the complete PRO-STACK PS-2B Instruction Manual linked here in Documentation. Features of the DX Engineering PRO-STACK Broadband Antenna Phasing Switches include these great features: * Power handling up to 5 kW * Broadband coverage on 160-10 meters * High-impact RF shielded weatherproof housing * High-RF tolerant, silver-PTFE SO-239 (UHF female) connectors * Proven DX Engineering RF relays for high performance * Safe 12 VDC relay operation, even on battery or solar power * MOV surge protection on control lines * External, removable control line connector * RoHS-compliant assembly

DX Engineering PS-3B PRO-STACK Three Antenna Phasing Units
DX Engineering PS-3B PRO-STACK Three Antenna Phasing Units offer the ultimate performance for combining three identical Yagi or Log Periodic directional antennas and may be used for vertical antennas in a phased array that cover any band, from 160 through 10 meters. Pro-Stack frequency independent broadband phasing devices operate optimally with three properly spaced mono-band antennas, but can be used with three identical stacked multi-band beam antennas, for pattern and null steering that wins contests and snags the rarest DX! Signals arrive at your antenna system from different azimuth directions and different elevation angles. Adding a stacking phasing system to a rotational array adds the ability to steer the pattern of the antenna array in two planes, azimuth and elevation, and to move the major lobe and nulls. The greatest advantage of Pro-Stack arrays is the ability to move harmful pattern nulls away from signal arrival angles. While gain makes a marginal improvement, moving a 20 to 40 dB null can be a phenomenal change, so the Pro-Stack can make the difference between a barely readable and a strong signal, providing the performance edge needed to work rare DX - and win contests. DXE-PS-3B Pro-Stack Phasing Units are 50 ohm relay systems that handle up to 5 kW. A separate user-supplied automated controller or the optional DX Engineering DXE-EC-PS3 Control Console for these 12-position rotary switch selections: - Three antenna ports in phase, default with no power to control console. - Antenna port 1 only - Antenna port 2 only - Antenna port 3 only - Port 2 out of phase, Port 3 in phase - Port 1 out of phase, Port 3 in phase - Port 1 out of phase, Port 2 in phase - Ports 2 and 3 in phase - Ports 1 and 3 in phase - Ports 1 and 2 in phase - Ports 1 and 2 in phase, Port 3 out of phase - Ports 1 and 3 in phase, Port 2 out of phase - Port 1 out of phase, Ports 2 and 3 in phase These PRO-STACK units may also be used for other applications requiring these feedline selections. To ensure lowest SWR, impedance matching automatically changes when any antenna is disabled. By switching between antennas at different heights above ground and/or changing the phase relationship between multiple antennas. The old standard system in stacks was to activate or disable specific antennas in the stack to change pattern. However, with the Pro-Stack system, gain remains higher when all antennas are driven and phase is changed, plus this system allows phase inversion as well as the ability to switch any single antenna out of the array. DXE-PS-3B Broadband Phasing Units provide the greatest flexibility for three identical antennas. This relay unit contains a broad-bandwidth high-power 2:1 impedance matching transformer. This eliminates common requirements of using mixtures of 75 ohm and 50 ohm phasing or delay cables for impedance matching. Feedlines to each antenna from the relay unit must be the same cable of the same length and match the antenna impedance. DXE-PS-3B Pro-Stack Broadband Three Antenna Phasing Units feature: - Power Handling up to 5 kW - Broad band coverage on 160-10 meters - RF Shielded Weatherproof Housing - unique protection - DXE-PS-3B has High-RF tolerant, silver - PTFE UHF connectors - DXE-PS-3BDIN has Amphenol Connex 7/16 DIN Panel Connectors - DXE-PS-3BN-P are made with high-quality silver-PTFE Type N female connectors - Proven high current DX Engineering RF Relays - Safe 12 volt dc relay operation - MOV surge protection on control lines - RoHS compliant assembly Get a DX Engineering PS-3B PRO-STACK Three Antenna Phasing System for your winning antenna array.

DX Engineering PS-3B PRO-STACK Three Antenna Phasing System
Dominate the airwaves with a DX Engineering PS-3B PRO-STACK Three Antenna Phasing System. Achieve ultimate array control and performance with three identical Yagi or Log Periodic directional antennas or use the system for vertical antennas in a phased array. DXE-PS-3B Pro-Stack Units are frequency independent broadband phasing devices that operate with three antennas on any bands, from 160 through 10 meters. Select from twelve combinations of in-phase and out-of-phase for pattern and null steering that wins contests and snags the rarest DX! DXE-PS-3B-P PRO-STACK Three Antenna Phasing Systems consist of one DXE-PS-3B Relay Unit and one DXE-EC-PS3 Control Console with manual 12-position rotary switch. This advanced system requires only 9-conductor control cable and standard 50-ohm feedlines of equal lengths to each antenna. DXE-PS-3B Pro-Stack Broadband Three Antenna Phasing Systems offer these compelling features: - Power Handling up to 5 kW - Broad band coverage on 160-10 meters - RF Shielded Weatherproof Housing - unique protection - DXE-PS-3B has High-RF tolerant, silver - PTFE SO-239 (UHF female) connectors - DXE-PS-3BN-P are high-quality silver-PTFE Type N female connectors - DXE-PS-3BDIN has Amphenol Connex 7-16 DIN Panel Connectors - Proven high current DX Engineering RF Relays - Safe 12 volt DC relay operation - MOV surge protection on control lines - RoHS compliant assembly DXE-PS-3B Broadband Phasing Units provide the greatest flexibility for three identical antennas. So all of them need only be as long as the longest, to reach from the antennas to the relay unit. While it is best to have feedlines of equal electrical lengths, there is no need to closely phase-match cables; cutting the antenna feedlines made from the same coax to equal physical lengths is sufficient. Signals arrive at your antenna system from different azimuth directions and different elevation angles. Adding a stacking phasing system to a rotational array adds the ability to steer the pattern of the antenna array in two planes, azimuth and elevation, and to move the major lobe and nulls. This is accomplished by switching between three identical antennas that are properly spaced for phasing, as well as changing the phase relationship between the antennas to effect changes in the null positons of their elevation patterns. The greatest advantage of equipping your array with a DX Engineering Pro-Stack is the ability to move debilitating pattern nulls away from signal arrival angles. While gain makes a marginal improvement, moving a 20 to 40 dB null can make a phenomenal change in reception. So, the Pro-Stack can make the difference between a barely readable and a strong signal, thus providing the performance edge needed to work rare DX - and win contests. DX Engineering Aluminum Tubing
DX Engineering High-Strength Aluminum Tubes are ideal for your antenna building projects. It is made available in sizes that fit into and over the next, with close tolerances specifically designed for strength when joined and overlapping only by a few to several inches, to build Yagi, Moxon or vertical antenna elements. NOTE: This tubing is NOT intended for each size to telescope completely into the full length of the next; it cannot be used for telescopic mast building. DX Engineering aluminum tubing is manufactured to very close tolerances. This provides the greatest amount of surface contact between nesting tubes for mechanical and electrical stability. Due to the close tolerance, any burrs, dirt, grit or other foreign material, as well as dents, dings and unseen bending or crushing suffered during shipment will cause binding that prevents this aluminum tubing from fully nesting. 6063-T832 seamless drawn aluminum tubing is available in 3, 6 and 12 ft. lengths. 6063-T832 tubing provides good resistance to general corrosion, including stress corrosion cracking, and an excellent surface appearance. Use a series of 3 ft. lengths to build an element that tapers more quickly for lower wind-resistance applications. Use a series of 6 ft. lengths to make an element that tapers more slowly for greater strength and bandwidth. The 12 ft. lengths are great for HF Yagi construction. Most sizes (except 12 ft.) are available slit on one end for use with DX Engineering stainless steel element clamps. If un-slit ends are required for your applications, merely insert the slit end into the next larger size in the stack and use your own attachment method. 6063-T832 tubing features a 0.058 in. wall thickness and is available in 1/8 in. increments from 3/8 in. to 2-1/8 in. O.D. 3003-H14 drawn aluminum tubing features a 0.035 inch wall thickness and a 1/4 inch outside diameter. Each piece is supplied with non slit ends and is available in both 3 foot and 6 foot lengths, making them ideal for your antenna building projects. If your setup requires maximum strength at very long assembly lengths, then choose DX Engineering 6061-T8 tubing. This heavy-duty version features a 0.120 in. wall thickness and is available in 1/4 in. increments from 1-1/2 in. to 3 in. O.D. Packaged shipments of 6 ft. tubing have oversize shipping fees, regardless of the number of 6 ft. pieces. Therefore, order more 6 ft. pieces to spread oversize fees over more tubing for a more cost effective shipment. Tubing that is 12 ft. long MUST be shipped by truck freight. If you need many pieces of the same size in a 12 ft. tube length, then buying DX Engineering High-Strength Aluminum Tubing Bundles (elsewhere in our catalog) maximizes the economy of scale for your shipping costs. DX Engineering Dual Input Remote Antenna Switches
DX Engineering Dual Input Remote Antenna Switches are two-radio 8-antenna switches (2x8) designed to switch coaxial lines in medium to high power RF antenna systems. With excellent performance on HF and 6 meters, they are typically used in single operator two-radio (SO2R) or multi-two contesting stations. They offer high levels of port-to-port isolation and reliability, the same as the famous DX Engineering RR8 series single input 8-port remote antenna switches. Manual dual-control operation of the DXE-RR2X8B is possible with two separate 1-of-8 control consoles that send +13.8VDC to the selected port, such as the DXE-EC-8. In this instance, the main transceiver has precedence over the secondary when attempting to use the same antenna port, so manual switching care must be exercised. An alternative first come, first served switching approach is available with the optional DXE-MX2X8 Interface Unit. It accepts BCD signals from two DXE-CC-8A Deluxe Control Consoles, and it locks out the selected port from the other radio, rather than main port precedence. DX Engineering RR2X8B Dual Input Switches may be interfaced with a customer-supplied logical switching unit. A third-party antenna controller with dual 1-of-8 switching may be used directly with the DXE-RR2X8B Switch or with BCD to the DXE-MX2X8 Interface Unit. If the DXE-MM2X8 Interface Unit is not used, the third party unit must provide protection against hot switching and prevent the main or secondary radio ports from attempting to select the same antenna port at any time. DX Engineering Dual Input Remote Antenna Switches feature a custom-made stainless steel chassis and a special RF shielded high impact thermoplastic cover. They have a custom conductive gasket to complete the seal between the cover and stainless steel housing base. Disassembly is not required for control wiring access. DX Engineering RR2X8B switches use removable screw terminals for the control cable plugs. These removable plugs greatly simplify installation by eliminating the need for soldering or opening the enclosure. The internal, covered relays are moisture-resistant, providing many years of exceptional performance. The circuitry of the DXE-RR2X8B switches allows the simultaneous selection of multiple antenna port with the required control signals. They can be used in complex antenna systems including stacked and phased arrays. Also, conventional one-of-eight antenna switching for two separate stations is possible using separate 1-of-8 switching arrangements. For example, the main radio Input "M" may select and be connected to any of the 8 ports while the secondary Radio Input "S" can simultaneously select any of the ports that the main isn't using. The main controller always has precedence over any selection made by the secondary controller, unless the DXE-MX2X8 is employed. Features of DX Engineering Dual Input Remote Antenna Switches include: * Rugged, attractive, fully shielded weatherproof housing * DX Engineering stainless steel V-clamp included for easy mounting to tower legs or masts from 1-2 in. diameter * Multi-conductor external cable plugs for easy removal, connection and maintenance * Excellent port-to-port Isolation; greater than 70 dB at 30 MHz, worst case; greater than 60 dB up to 60 MHz * High RF tolerant UHF connectors * Enclosed 16 ampere RF relays * Safe 12V DC relay operation * 16 MOVs for surge protection on control lines * 16 RF bypass capacitors Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. DX Engineering Telescoping Aluminum Antenna Tubing Kits
DX Engineering ATK65A Telescoping Aluminum Antenna Tubing Kits employ twelve aluminum tubes that may be used as rope-guyed vertical radiators. Intended for portable or temporary operations, these kits may also be used in a well-guyed permanent vertical antenna installation. They're a good DIY vertical antenna element for Field Day, DXpeditions, RVs, SOTA, camping, and more. Guying is required (three or four levels of rope guys are needed when these kits are extended beyond a 30 ft. height), so guy rings are included. ATK65A kits consist of 11- 6-ft. sections and one 3-ft. section of DX Engineering's rugged 6063-T832 drawn aluminum tubing. The kit also includes all required stainless steel element clamps. The bottom section is the 2.0-in. outside-diameter heavy-wall (0.120 in. thick) that mates up to 2-1/8 in. diameter tubing with an 8 in. overlap, and then back to 2-in. diameter tubing with a 5 in. overlap. Each sections continues the element taper down to 7/8-in. diameter at the top. The overall length of the assembled sections can reach up to 780 inches, or 65 feet. These kits are well suited as vertical radiators for your custom-designed single vertical antenna or in multiples in a two or four element array. DX Engineering Ferrite
DX Engineering Ferrites are partially magnetic metal and ceramic mixes available in a variety of forms, including toroid core, bead type and plastic-covered split-bead ferrite called snap-beads. They are used in a myriad of RF suppression applications to mitigate RFI (radio frequency interference) as well as to reduce pulse and other types of RF noise interference. Special ferrites are used for experimentation and electronic circuit building and for making transformers, RF chokes and antenna baluns. The variations of magnetic and non-magnetic metals and non-metal ceramics used to make ferrites are called "Mixes" and each has different radio frequency properties or ranges. Therefore, different mix number ferrites are typically used for different applications within those ranges, determined by decades of experiments by engineers and applications by hams. Each Mix has been assigned a color code to help identify the ferrite, so numerical labeling is not used on the metal. Color coded ferrite can be identified long after the numbered package is discarded or has disintegrated with time. How do they work? Simply use snap-on beads on a cable or wire. An even more effective choke takes a few to several turns of a wire or cable through and around a ferrite snap-on bead or toroid core. This mitigates RFI to, or from, the connected RF noise producing or noise affected electronic device. The results can be very surprising. Solving noise and RFI can be frustrating. Due to the nature of RF and noise interference suppression; the techniques of appropriate use of ferrites can take a bit of trial and error, but are often the best solution for a difficult problem. Use DX Engineering Ferrite for an incredible range of electronic circuits, noise abatement and RF suppression projects. The details of DX Engineering Ferrite mixes and types appear in each product description. Sizes and applications are discussed in "More Details" and in the literature available at the "Documentation" tab of each of these products.

DX Engineering Receive Device Replacement Parts Kits
DX Engineering Receive Device Replacement Parts Kits contain RF chokes and capacitors that are commonly found in bias tee circuits and in many other receiving and control devices. Also known as feedline voltage injectors, bias tee circuits occasionally suffer minor lightning pulse damage. Typically the choke or capacitor is burned out, which can be easily repaired with one of these replacement parts. Contained in each kit are 30 electronic components: • 10 each 100uH RF chokes • 10 each 0.1uF 50V capacitors with 0.2 in. leg spacing • 10 each 0.1uF 50V capacitors with 0.3 in. leg spacing. Click "More Detail" to see the DX Engineering device compatibility chart. Several DX Engineering devices use only one of these parts. None of the devices listed require all three parts; this is a multi-purpose package for the repair bench. These common electronic parts may be used for many other projects around the shack and in station gear, and even for repair of other types of equipment. Use these parts at your own discretion. Technical support for any application is not included.

DX Engineering Maxi-Core® 20 Baluns and Feedline Chokes
The present-day DX Engineering was launched in the year 2000. To celebrate our 20th Anniversary in the year 2020 we have developed a new line of Baluns and Feedline Chokes. Introducing DX Engineering "Maxi-Core® 20" Baluns and Feedline Chokes. They reduce or eliminate currents on the outside of your feedline allowing you to hear and to be heard much better. They keep more RFI/BCI out of your antenna and receiver and transfer more of your transmitted signal to the antenna for higher efficiency, the best antenna pattern and maximum performance. Signaling a new era of RF performance across the 1.8 to 54 MHz frequency range, DX Engineering Maxi-Core® 20 Baluns and Feedline Chokes handle full-legal-power-plus and provide higher common mode impedance (CMI) across a greater frequency range than competing models and even previous DX Engineering and Comtek models. Years of R&D coupled with major advancements in test equipment and techniques combined with custom ferrite materials have allowed our engineering team to design the DX Engineering Maxi-Core® 20 Baluns and Feedline Chokes. Maxi-Core® 20 Baluns and Chokes have high CMI across the AM Broadcast band and the HF/6M spectrum, which is essential to provide sufficient suppression of unwanted transmitted and received RFI/BCI current on the feedline shield exterior. Hear and be heard with DXE Maxi-Core® 20 Baluns and Feedline Chokes. Choose superior performance from these models: * DXE-MC20-1-1 Maxi-Core® 20 - 1:1 Current Choke Balun - For all HF-6m balanced antennas with a 50 ohm feedpoint, including resonant dipoles, loops, Yagis, beams, etc. * DXE-MC20-FC Maxi-Core® 20 - 1:1 Feedline Choke – This high CMI line isolator is perfect for use in line on 50 ohm coaxial feedlines, at the antenna, tower or shack end of the feedline. * DXE-MC20-1-1T Maxi-Core® 20 - 1:1 Current Choke Balun – This 1:1 "T" model is for force feeding antennas with a tuner. Use it at the end of ladder line of any impedance or mounted on a coax fed non-resonant antenna. This model tolerates operation at high SWR on non-resonant multi-band antennas. * DXE-MC20-C4-1 Maxi-Core® 20 - 4:1 Current Choke Balun is for use on antennas with a 200 ohm feedpoint and at the end of any impedance ladder line, especially on antenna systems with higher impedance. This model tolerates operation at high SWR on non-resonant multi-band antennas. * DXE-MC20-V4-1 Maxi-Core® 20 - 4:1 Voltage Balun is a 200 ohm to 50 ohm transformer for use on random long-wire and OCF antenna applications. This true voltage balun is intentionally designed with low CMI for antennas that need a transformer without RF choking for easier antenna tuner operation and it tolerates elevated SWR. Maxi-Core® 20 Baluns and Feedline Chokes are built into a convenient weather resistant NEMA enclosure that is mounted easily with optional brackets. They feature 1/4-20 stainless steel hardware and a high quality silver-plated PTFE dielectric SO-239 (UHF female) input connector. The SO-239 connector limits power handling to 5 kW at low SWR and reduced power at elevated SWR. These baluns and the feedline choke exhibit very low insertion loss and inherently low SWR. Optional mounting brackets are available for use on wire antennas or for verticals, Yagi and beam antennas. See the Suggested Parts tab after clicking "More Detail" on the model of interest. Combination packages that include balun or choke and mounting bracket are also available.
