ERICO Copper Grounding Bars

ERICO Copper Grounding Bars provide proper bonding; essential to create an equipotential plane between service grounds and shack equipment. This equipotential plane provides a near-zero voltage differential and serves to protect people and equipment during transient and electrical-fault events. These ERICO grounding bars have a series of 0.281 in. diameter holes that accommodate mounting many items, including Alpha Delta, PolyPhaser, and other surge-protection devices. They include stand-off mounts that deliver extreme isolation from the mounting surface. When used in tandem with ERICO ground rods and ERICO CADWELD ONE SHOT Wire to Ground Rod Clamps, there is no better grounding system available… period! These ground bars have a 1-1/16 in. standoff of their stainless mounting brackets plus a 1-1/2 in. insulator. This places the inside of the ground bar more than 2-1/2 inches from the mounting surface. There's plenty of room to work after mounting the bar. These bars may be mounted horizontally or vertically and the mounting holes in the copper bar are 8-7/8 in. on center. These grounding bars provide a convenient, reliable grounding location. Their quarter-inch thick solid-copper bar represents the ultimate in ground connections. ERICO grounding bars include insulators, stainless steel brackets, stainless steel mounting bolts, and are UL Listed. For premier grounding at your station, rely on ERICO Copper Grounding Bars from DX Engineering.

ERICO CADWELD Exothermic Welding Materials

ERICO CADWELD exothermic welding materials are a mixture of copper oxide and aluminum, packaged by size, in plastic tubes. Each tube contains the starting material at the bottom of the plastic tube, with the weld metal on top. When emptied into a CADWELD mold, that places the starting material on the top. These welding materials are not explosive and are not subject to spontaneous ignition. Welding material containers are packaged in boxes along with a metal disk. Each weld application uses a disk to add metal to the weld. ERICO CADWELD exothermic welding materials product summary: * Mixture consists mainly of copper oxide and aluminum * Primarily used in grounding and bonding applications * Welding material is in the top of the tube and starting material is in the bottom of the tube * Packaged by size in plastic tubes with clear caps * Tubes are packaged in plastic boxes along with metal disks * Each welded connection uses a single disk * Non-explosive; not subject to spontaneous ignition * See specific ERICO CADWELD connection details to determine welding material and mold requirements DX Engineering now offers these welding materials for use in enhanced, high-quality grounding systems. ERICO CADWELD Grounding Connection Molds

ERICO CADWELD Grounding Connection Molds are semi-permanent graphite molds for making CADWELD connections within your grounding system. In exothermic welding, the mold controls the direction and speed of the molten CADWELD metal flow and its final shape. The graphite used in the construction of a CADWELD mold is a high-temperature type that lasts for an average of 50 or more CADWELD connections under normal usage. ERICO CADWELD Grounding Connection Molds are available for welding ground conductors to bus bars or ground lugs, making parallel wire/cable connections, "Tee" connections and "X" connections. For connection to ground rods, please see ERICO CADWELD ONE SHOT Wire to Ground Rod Clamps. These molds require the use of CADWELD welding material (weld metal) that causes the fusion of the conductors placed into the mold. CADWELD welding material provides the heat to melt the conductors and delivers additional metal to the mold as needed for a solid junction. Please click the "Documentation" tab* for additional information on items required for the use of each mold and typical application details, including mold instructions. *Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available for any item, please look at the associated files for additional product information. ERICO CADWELD products have been used in commercial grounding system construction for decades. ERICO CADWELD PLUS Control Units

ERICO CADWELD PLUS Control Units are used to ignite the weld material in One-Shot PLUS exothermic welds. When common flint igniters are used for exothermic ignition, you must be right at the mold. That makes gloves and eye protection imperative. With CADWELD PLUS Control Units you may stand well away, providing a safety margin. CADWELD's model PLUSCU control unit comes with 8 AA batteries and will ignite about 600 One-Shot PLUS exothermic welds before battery exhaustion. These units include a 6-foot (1.8 meter) high temperature control unit lead. The lead attaches to the ignition strip using a custom made, purpose-designed termination clip. After the termination clip is installed on the ignition strip, the installer pushes and holds the ignition button to start a charging and discharging sequence. Within a few seconds the control unit sends a predetermined voltage to the ignition strip and the exothermic reaction is initiated. Once initiated, the ignition process is automatic. These control units are not for use with CADWELD One-Shot welding. Only One-Shot PLUS is designed for electronic ignition. Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. Accessory or replacement leads are available in 6 and 15 ft. lengths.
