Heil Sound Pro Set Elite Headsets
Heil Sound Pro Set Elite Headsets are the ultimate boom-mic headsets designed for Amateur Radio operators using the Heil HC 6 wide-response microphone element. The microphone technology of the Heil HC 6 is designed for full-range commercial AM or FM network broadcasts, or it may be adjusted for bright, articulate audio to cut through Amateur Radio noise and signal pileups. Pro Set Elite headsets contain specially-designed high-performance dynamic elements that compliment advanced audio adjustability of modern Amateur Radio transceivers. The -3 dB points are fixed at 80 Hz and 12.5 kHz. Pro Set Elite Headsets offer round, over-the-ear cushioned pads with highly efficient speakers mounted in acoustically-tuned chambers. They seal the ears into their chamber and facilitate a high rejection of outside noise. An exclusive Heil phase-reversal switch allows the user to move the signal acoustically, which creates a spatial widening of the sound field. That makes it easier to 'see' a signal inside of a pileup while helping to remove listener fatigue during prolonged use. The headphone's speakers fold up for easy transportation and storage. Field-replaceable cushioned ear pads also come with cotton covers that can be easily removed for washing. Their 6 ft. coiled cable terminates in a 1/8 in. mono plug for the microphone and a stereo 1/8 in. plug for the headphone speaker connection. A 1/8 in. to 1/4 in. headphone jack adapter is also supplied. Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. Pro Set Elite Headsets work with all Heil AD-1 adapter cables, which mate with just about every type of amateur radio transceiver. Purchase an AD-1 series Headset Adapter Cable (sold separately) for a simple connection to the transceiver mic input. The adapter is 6 in. long and has a 1/8 in. female input jack for the headset boom microphone and a 1/4 in. female for the PTT (push to talk) line for the Heil foot or hand switch. The headset stereo plug goes into the headphone jack on the transceiver front panel. You deserve the quality and versatility of superior headsets. Heil Sound Pro Set Elite Headsets from DX Engineering will help you log the rare ones!

Heil Ham Radio BM-17 Lightweight Headsets
The redesigned Heil Ham Radio BM-17 Lightweight Headsets are excellent for portable operations, with several updates including the new swivel-mounted boom that allows operators the flexibility of positioning the microphone on the left or right side. These headsets are available as either the BM-17S single-side or BM-17D dual-side model and are now only available in standard black, with "Heil Ham Radio" brand. To accommodate different transceivers, both models of the BM-17 are available with either a Dynamic element or an iC Electret element. The speakers used in the BM-17 headset are extra sensitive, so they do not require much AF drive from the transceiver. Their frequency response is 200 Hz – 5 kHz with exceptionally low distortion and each features replaceable ear pads made of acoustic foam. Heil Headsets feature two different mic elements, so they must be paired with the appropriate Heil AD-1 series transceiver mic adapter cable (not included). • The BM-17 Dynamic headset uses the dynamic element designed specifically for communications use, with an operating frequency response of 120 Hz – 10 kHz. This 500 ohm dynamic element will work on most amateur radio rigs requiring a Low-Z input impedance (usually between 150 ohms and 4k ohms). Legacy transmitters and transceivers that require a high impedance microphone input of 10k to 30k ohms can be accommodated with a Heil XT-1 impedance matching transformer. • The BM-17 iC Electret element works with virtually all Icom rigs and were specifically made to provide the best audio solution for the low microphone gain audio characteristics of most "pre-PRO" and basic Icom rigs. The iC element has an operating frequency response of 35Hz – 12kHz. The -3 dB points are fixed at 100 Hz and 12 kHz with the sensitivity of -57 at 600 ohms output centered at 1 kHz. The iC element requires + 5 Volts DC bias power to operate. The microphone audio for the BM-17 series terminates into a red 1/8 in. mono plug while the headphone terminates into a black 1/8 in. stereo plug (1/8 to 1/4 in. adapter included). The use of the AD-1 series mic adapters allows simple interface with popular transceiver inputs. The AD-1 series adapters are 6 to 8 in. long and has a 1/8" female input jack for the headset microphone while the 1/4" female that exits the adapter is the PTT (push to talk) line for a Heil foot switch or hand switch. The 1/8" or 1/4" stereo plug goes into the headphone jack on the transceiver front panel. The stainless steel band inside the padded top can be reshaped for a comfortable custom fit. NOTICE: Some state laws prohibit the use of headsets while operating a vehicle. Please check with your local regulations and restrictions prior to usage of this product while operating.

Heil Sound PRAS-EQ Parametric Receive Audio System Equalizer
The Heil Sound PRAS-EQ Parametric Receive Audio System Equalizer is a state-of-the-art audio system that enhances the sound of Amateur Radio, shortwave, commercial, and CB receivers. The PRAS-EQ allows radio operators to modify, shape and improve the audio output of their receivers using three separate equalization controls. Midrange frequencies are the most critical for achieving clear voice articulation in receive audio, especially for those with hearing deficiencies. The PRAS-EQ allows operators to have unique control over these important frequencies. First, operators can adjust the parametric midrange filter from 400 Hz through 4 kHz, with the recommended sweet spot being at 2.5 kHz. In addition, operators can control the presence of these midrange frequencies plus or minus 15 dB. Combined with a low-frequency filter down to 160 Hz, and a high-frequency filter up to 6 kHz, the Parametric Receive System provides operators unparalleled control and quality of their receive audio. The PRAS-EQ has three audio Inputs; a standard XLR, a 1/8 in. (3.5mm), and a 1/4 in. mono 8 ohm input that can accept the 8 ohm external speaker output of any radio. Three audio Outputs on the PRAS-EQ are one balanced XLR and one 1/4 in. (6.35mm) outputs on the rear panel and one 1/8 in. (3.5mm) output on the front panel for recording audio. The PRAS also has two built-in headphone amplifiers with separate level controls and dual 1/8 in. headphone outputs. The PRAS Parametric Receive Audio System is intended to be used with the specially designed Heil HPS-5 Powered Speaker, now sold separately. The line level output of the PRAS-EQ unit may be used with any powered speaker. Heil Sound's iCM Microphones
Heil iCM microphones are high performance mics specially designed for owners of earlier ICOM transceivers that exhibit low gain in the microphone amplifier stage. Two models are available: the original Silver version and the new Black and Gold version. Not cheap electret microphones, the iCMs utilize a high-quality condenser element with a broad frequency response (35 Hz to 12 kHz) and high output that is crafted for compatibility with the ICOM transceivers. The iCM microphones were designed in close collaboration with ICOM's engineering team and are housed in a beautiful platinum-finish enclosure, making them ideal for hand-held use or for mounting on a boom or desk stand. The iCMs are shipped with microphone clips compatible with Heil Sound base stands and booms. The iCMs are fitted with an 8 ft. length of Heilwire cable terminated in an 8-pin round mic connector that's wired for the ICOM transceivers. A 1/4 in. inline phone jack accepts PTT input from a foot switch or hand switch. A "light touch" PTT switch is mounted on the body of the iCMs. Make your ICOM rig "sing" like never before with Heil iCM microphones.
