I0JXX LNA Receive Preamplifiers
I0JXX LNA Receive Preamplifiers offer high gain amplification with very low internal noise for VHF and UHF amateur band optimized devices used world-wide by experimenters and contest enthusiasts. Excellent receive-only performance at low current is achieved by these compact 12VDC units, available in two connector configurations: SMA female input and output, or Type N male input and female output. LNA (low noise amplifiers) offer preamplification using ultra-low noise components as good or better than most receiver front ends, to preserve the capabilities of a low-noise antenna system. Typically, they do not have relays in the signal path that might introduce noise or loss. These devices can be used directly in most receive applications and may be used to build a sequencer-controlled Receive-Transmit relay system for two-way VHF or UHF communications. I0JXX LNA Receive Preamplifiers are built with high quality components including low-loss FR4 copper clad PCBs and environmentally safe tri-chrome high-conductivity passivated aluminum chassis. I0JXX Mast Mount Low Noise Preamplifiers
I0JXX Mast Mount Low Noise Preamplifiers offer high gain amplification with excellent noise figures in VHF and UHF amateur band optimized devices for casual operation or contest-grade directional antenna systems. Built for long-term tower top use, two high-power SPDT coaxial relays are used to protect the internal, band-specific I0JXX LNA using low-loss and high-isolation interconnections. These exceptional components are housed in a specialized weather and UV resistant polyamide black case with a drip edge surrounding two downward facing Type N female connectors mounted on a rugged, 12 gauge (2mm) aluminum panel. A separate female BNC is for DC power and control voltage, intended to be sent from the required sequencer via an inexpensive coaxial cable. Extraordinary receive-transmit-receive changeover performance is achieved by these compact 12VDC mast mounted units. Their internal LNA (low noise amplifiers) offer preamplification using ultra-low noise components as good or better than a typical receiver front end, which preserves the capabilities of a low-noise antenna or stacked array and the transceive system. The internal relays are connected to bypass the internal preamplifier when power is removed. An I0JXX SEQJXXBOX Sequencer can be used to control the I0JXX Mast Mount Low Noise Preamplifiers for two-way VHF or UHF communications. I0JXX Mast Mount Low Noise Preamplifiers are built with high quality components for many years of service. View the band unit specific specifications on each part detail page.

I0JXX BOX00JXX Mast Mount Project Boxes
I0JXX BOX00JXX Mast Mount Project Boxes are very useful for the VHF, UHF and SHF enthusiast or experimenter. These weather and UV resistant black polyamide thermoplastic enclosures feature a drip edge around a rugged, downward facing 12 ga. aluminum panel (thickness of 2mm) that is approximately 3.75 x 2.75 in.. This blank plate allows for customization of connector placement by drilling or punching holes only as needed. Used by I0JXX for their high quality mast-mounted preamplifiers, the 5.71 in tall enclosure secures with four stainless screws to the panel, which also features an integral bracket and included stainless steel hardware and mounting clamps for masts up to 2.32 in. (60 mm). Building your own specialized mast-mounted device such as a preamplifier and Receive-Transmit relay into a weather protected enclosure is simplified with economical I0JXX BOX00JXX Mast Mount Project Boxes – ready to keep the weather away from your ingenious tower-top device. I0JXX SEQJXXBOX Sequencers
I0JXX SEQJXXBOX Sequencers are advanced switching control units for preamplifiers, power amplifiers, transceivers and transverters typical of VHF, UHF and SHF amateur and commercial radio systems. When using independent low-noise mast-mounted or inline preamplifiers and inline power amplifiers, the correctly sequenced timing of PTT and disconnect signals must be sent before keying a transceiver or transverter. The required task of preventing preamplifier burnout, power amplifier hot switching and potential relay damage is very well handled by the SEQJXXBOX. Featuring independently configurable time delay sequencing for SSB and CW modes, the SEQJXXBOX has four separate output relays which are tied in series to ensure the proper switching sequencing of every critical component in the receive-transmit chain. Configurations and functions are entered with a four-button control and Status info in RX and TX is displayed on a 2x16 alpha-numeric blue-tone readout. Independent front panel switches for turning on or off the Preamp, the Power Amp, and the Sequencer, along with programmable control over CW Break-In and relay timing provides intuitive and helpful operational flexibility. Two rear panel 8-screw barrier strips handle all input and outputs, so simple stripped lead wiring is required from all peripheral components. A simple Foot Switch for SSB PTT is provided with each unit. FEATURES of the I0JXX SEQJXXBOX Sequencer: • Switching delay time RX>TX TX>RX Every mode from 50 to 500 mS (step 10 mS) • Switching delay time CW TX>RX from 100 to 900 mS (step 100 mS) • CW Break-In operations configurable (enabled by default) • Name or Call Sign on display (up to 6 alphanumeric characters) • Display lighting 2 modes: always on / on only during configuration SPECIFICATIONS of the I0JXX SEQJXXBOX Sequencer: INPUT: MIC-PTT (foot switch) CW-KEY (3 contacts, straight key or Iambic paddle Display: LDC 2 lines per 16 letters, blue color (with contrast adjustment) Menu access: 4 front panel pushbuttons Power Requirement: 12 VDC @ 180 mA TX; 40 mA RX. (No internal battery) Dimensions, WHD: 3.937 x 1.969 x 4.331in. (100 x 50 x 110mm) Weight: 1.343 lbs. (650 g) The I0JXX SEQJXXBOX is an indispensable tool for proper and successful operation of each crucial component in a VHF, UHF, or SHF station.
