I0JXX Power Dividers
I0JXX Power Dividers serve as RF combiners and splitters for 50 ohm VHF/UHF and EHF antennas and feedlines. They are hand-tuned with advanced test equipment to achieve the specified frequency range. I0JXX Power Dividers are made with Type N and 7-16DIN female common connectors and precision Type N antenna port connectors for extremely low loss and constant impedance. They are constructed with aluminum tubing and solid metal center conductors to make air dielectric coaxial lines with nearly immeasurable insertion loss. Power Dividers are used in VHF and UHF multi-Yagi stacked arrays to impedance match two, three, four, six or eight horizontal Loop or Yagi antennas. Standard low-loss 50 ohm coaxial cable Type N male assemblies, each the exact same length are required from each antenna feedpoint to its respective power divider port. But phased wavelength cables are not required. All Yagis or horizonal loops are fed together in phase, separated by the proper stacking spacing, and pointed in the same direction. As compared to a single antenna, stacked Yagis can yield 3 dB gain for two antennas and practically 6 dB gain for four antennas, with only minor losses deducted for the feedlines, connectors and the power divider. Each pair of stacked antennas nearly doubles the effective radiated power of the station. I0JXX Mast Mount Low Noise Preamplifiers
I0JXX Mast Mount Low Noise Preamplifiers offer high gain amplification with excellent noise figures in VHF and UHF amateur band optimized devices for casual operation or contest-grade directional antenna systems. Built for long-term tower top use, two high-power SPDT coaxial relays are used to protect the internal, band-specific I0JXX LNA using low-loss and high-isolation interconnections. These exceptional components are housed in a specialized weather and UV resistant polyamide black case with a drip edge surrounding two downward facing Type N female connectors mounted on a rugged, 12 gauge (2mm) aluminum panel. A separate female BNC is for DC power and control voltage, intended to be sent from the required sequencer via an inexpensive coaxial cable. Extraordinary receive-transmit-receive changeover performance is achieved by these compact 12VDC mast mounted units. Their internal LNA (low noise amplifiers) offer preamplification using ultra-low noise components as good or better than a typical receiver front end, which preserves the capabilities of a low-noise antenna or stacked array and the transceive system. The internal relays are connected to bypass the internal preamplifier when power is removed. An I0JXX SEQJXXBOX Sequencer can be used to control the I0JXX Mast Mount Low Noise Preamplifiers for two-way VHF or UHF communications.
