ICOM IC-V3500B Black Edition 2M VHF FM Mobile Transceivers combine a durable mechanical design with clear, intuitive operation and updated display technology. The latest Black Edition introduces a high visibility black inverted LCD, providing enhanced contrast and readability in a wide range of lighting conditions. The dark background improves clarity for frequency, channel, and function indicators, making the transceiver easier to monitor at a glance whether driving in bright daylight or operating at night.

These transceivers deliver a full 65W of selectable RF output power for the 144–148MHz transmit range, backed by a large heatsink that stabilizes thermal performance during extended operation. They also offer wideband receive capability from 136–174MHz, providing wideband VHF receive coverage for expanded monitoring capability

Audio performance remains a core strength, with the internal speaker producing 4.5W of loud, articulate sound thanks to improved frequency response and an optimized acoustic opening. Instant volume boost and one touch mute options provide quick level control when conditions change. The IC-V3500B transceivers also include emergency call and alert functions, which transmit alternating alarm tones and live microphone audio while sounding a local alarm from the speaker.

For memory and scanning flexibility, the IC V3500B series provides 207 memory channels with alphanumeric naming, dynamic bank link scanning, CTCSS/DTCS encoding and decoding, and priority watch capability. Weather channel reception and weather alerts are available, further enhancing situational awareness. Construction remains robust, meeting MIL STD 810G environmental standards.

Configuration is streamlined through free PC programming software, and many functions can be controlled directly from a compatible remote control microphone, simplifying installation and day to day use in mobile environments.
