InnovAntennas DB-664 Compact 6 and 4 Meter Dual Band Yagi
InnovAntennas DB-664 Compact 6 and 4 Meter Dual Band Yagi has a total of 6 elements; three elements are for 50 MHz and three are for 70 MHz, available on many radios made for the European market. For those in North American, where the 70 MHz band allocation doesn't exist, several late model transceivers, including the Yaesu FTDX10 and the Icom IC-7300, offer receive coverage of the 4-meter band. Even though transmit is disabled in NA, the 70 MHz band may be monitored for signals arriving from Europe, for those interested in VHF propagation. The InnovAntennas DB664 Dual Band Yagi stands apart from the crowd due to the methods used for its design. It has no traps or coils, no phasing arrangements, and has no need for "compromise" spacing between elements. This antenna has a set of correctly spaced elements for each band but requires only one feed point. The DB-644 is an excellent antenna with great SWR bandwidth and performance in one package. Specifications of the InnovAntennas DB664 Compact 6 & 4 Meter Dual Band Yagi: * Gain: 50MHz: 6.83dBi at 50.150MHz (12.44dBi 10 m above ground); 70MHz: 7.05dBi at 70.200MHz (12.76dBi 10 m above ground) * F/B on 50MHz: 10.12dB at 50.150MHz; 70MHz: 18.23dB at 70.200MHz * Power rating: 3kw * SWR: Below 1.3:1 from 50.00MHz to 50.500MHz; Below 1.5:1 from 69.950MHz to 70.600MHz * Boom length: 3.86 ft. (1.175m) * Turning radius: 1.48 ft. (1.484m) * Weight: 4.5 lbs. (2 kg) * Wind loading: 0.63 sq. ft. (0.15 sq. m) * Wind survival: 150 mph (241 kph) The InnovAntennas DB664 antenna has 6-meter element with 1/2 in. (12.7mm) center and 3/8 in. (9.525mm) outer elements and the 4-meter elements are one-piece 1/2 in. The antenna has fully insulated elements which will ensure continuous, high performance for many years to come. The boom-to-mast brackets and clamps included with all antennas will support 2 in. (50mm) masts. The rigid, heavy-duty boom is 1.25 in. square 16-guage aluminum and marine-grade stainless steel hardware is used. The antennas are constructed with the best quality materials to achieve the best mechanical construction, not the cheapest or most profitable. A digital caliper is used to measure the elements during production to ensure they are within 0.2mm of what they should be. This ensures that each antenna works as well as InnovAntennas' software model predicts. Note: Much development time has gone into InnovAntennas antennas, not just on basic electromagnetic design. They are able to model the effect of insulators, booms, and other objects to ensure the components of our antennas have the least amount of effect on performance and pattern degradation.
