InnovAntennas is a U.K.-based company that has pioneered new modeling and optimization technology for the development of specialized high performance HF, VHF and UHF Yagi-style antennas for commercial and amateur markets. The company's unrelenting application of the latest 64 bit commercial-grade Numerical Electromagnetic Calculation engines and advanced Particle Swarm Optimizations to their cutting edge, low-noise designs has achieved the production of unparalleled antennas. InnovAntennas let you hear weak signals better than any other antennas of the same boom size. Their antennas are simultaneously engineered for the best mechanical and electrical characteristics, so you are assured of long-term performance in all aspects of your installation. Your receiver is only as good as the antennas employed, so look no further than InnovAntennas for the absolute best. DX Engineering is proud to be the exclusive North American distributor of InnovAntennas.
InnovAntennas FM Broadcast 88-108 MHz OP-DES Yagi Antennas
InnovAntennas FM Broadcast 88-108 MHz OP-DES Yagi Antennas are an exciting development for the fascinating hobby of long distance (DX) reception of free, over-the-air broadcast FM radio. The OP-DES Yagi directional antennas are specially designed for better gain, great front-to-back and patterns with fewer side lobes, to dramatically improve your reception experience by helping your tuner or receiver achieve a new level of performance. For FM DX enthusiasts who own great FM Tuners and Receivers, pulling in new distant stations at full quieting is thrilling. Capturing a weak station while rejecting an on-channel stronger station can be especially gratifying. Hearing distant fringe and local stations at full fidelity without noise is the ultimate goal for FM audiophiles as well as FM DXers. Even HD Radio enthusiasts can increase their channel count with full sound quality and fewer dropouts. One of the distinctive design features of the OP-DES Yagi Antennas is a low feedpoint impedance that allows either 50 ohm or 75 ohm coaxial cable to be connected directly to the driven element, eliminating the losses of a transformer balun. With several boom lengths available, for the FM enthusiast on a budget, for the casual listener with a treasured vintage receiver, and for the most discerning FM Tuner audiophile, best-ever reception is possible with an InnovAntenna FM Broadcast OP-DES Yagi. InnovAntennas FM Broadcast 88-108 MHz OP-DES Yagi Antennas are available as: IVA-18484-0108 Compact and Space-Saving 8 element, 6.5 ft. boom, 9 to 10 dBi gain, typ. 24 dB f/b IVA-18484-0145 Cost-Effective Performance 11 element 12 ft. boom, 9.8 to 12.6 dBi gain, typ. 25 dB f/b IVA-18484-0110 High Performance 14 element, 18 ft. trussed boom, 10-13 dBi gain, 20 to 42 dB f/b IVA-18484-0112 Ultimate Performance 18-element, 24 ft. trussed boom, 11-14 dBi gain, 20 to 44 dB f/b Choose the InnovAntennas FM Broadcast 88-108 MHz OP-DES Yagi Antenna that is right for you. Immerse yourself in a world of music, news and entertainment and discover a clarity and fidelity that you never heard before on your FM Tuner or Stereo Receiver.

InnovAntennas DXR Series Multi-Band HF Beams
InnovAntennas DXR Series Multi-Band HF Beams have short booms with full-size elements or capacity-loaded shortened elements, all with excellent performance, making them very popular internationally. The DXR Series interlaced-element antennas, optimized by G0KSC over a long period of time, achieve the best possible balance between compact size and performance. For the DXR Series Multi-band Yagis, equal attention was paid to a very solid construction and sufficiently small component and packaging size, to keep shipping costs within reasonable limits. Click on any model listed for specific details and specifications. InnovAntennas DXR Series Multi-Band HF Beams are available exclusively from DX Engineering in North America. Important features of InnovAntennas DXR Series Multi-Band HF Beams: * No traps, matching links, or hairpins * Only one feed line for all bands * Careful selection of materials without regard to cost * Very robust construction with still manageable package size The DXR Series beams use a 1.97 x 1.97 in. (50 x 50 mm) square boom with 0.078 in. (2 mm) wall thickness. A square boom has the advantage that the elements cannot twist in the plane. On the other hand, it is slightly heavier than a round boom of the same stiffness. The DXR Yagis do not require any bracing of the boom. The longest elements are 1.378 in. (35 mm) diameter in the middle and taper relatively quickly to achieve a good compromise between weight and strength. This construction also helps to avoid constant vibration even in light winds. With these multi-band Yagis, care has been taken to ensure that there are never more than the elements of three bands nested within each other. This is because each additional element for one band can cause interference on another band. This negative effect was avoided by careful manual optimization. The result is the best possible matching over a wider band range than other antenna designs. In most cases, no tuner is necessary; the SWR minimum can be precisely set by adjusting the element lengths. Due to the robust construction and the absence of moving or electrically active components such as coils, traps, hairpins, etc., an InnovAntennas DXR beam is maintenance-free for many years. The insulators are UV-resistant and designed for a wide temperature range. The mounting hardware uses sea-water resistant stainless steel and the aluminum is type T6 6066/6082, which is also used in aviation. It is nice not to have to climb the mast every year to maintain the antenna. The DXR Series Multiband beams are designed to require only one feed line. This makes installation on a mast with a rotor very easy. And the use of modern SDR transceivers, which allow the observation of several bands at the same time, becomes really useful. The one feed line is connected directly to the solid distribution rails of the fed elements. By avoiding baluns, matching elements, traps, or hairpins for tuning, transmit power is only limited by the coaxial cable and connectors. Note: Front-to-back ratio (F/B) and SWR bandwidth data for the DXR Series will be added as it becomes available. Many models of the DXR Series are available as a "super-compact" version, on which the longest elements have been shortened with capacity hats, thus reducing their turning radius considerably. The installation of these impressive antennas is possible even where space is limited.
