INRAD DMS-1 PTT Desk Stands
INRAD DMS-1 PTT Desk Stands are attractive desk microphone accessories, with a lockable Push-To-Talk switch. They are ready for your INRAD microphone, or other standard stage microphone, with a 1 in. body. The DMS-1 base is metal, painted dark grey, which weighs a hefty 2.5 lbs. to keep it from sliding around or being knocked over easily. Total weight of desk stand and microphone is over 4 lbs.! The included rubberized microphone clip easily grips the microphone body, and mounts with locking star nut onto the 3.125 in. tall, standard 5/8 in.-27 threaded metal chrome stand pipe. A circular rubber ring in the threaded base for the standpipe and mic clip provides an integral shock mount for noise isolation. A large push-to-talk bar switch is on the front of the desk stand base. Lock the PTT for long transmissions by moving the top-side silver slider switch to the left while the PTT switch is down. To release, slide the switch back to the right. Optional INRAD microphones come with a pro-style 3-pin XLR connector and 7 ft. 9 in. adapter cable with 1/8 in. plug (3.5mm male). Included with the DMS-1 is a handy 9 in. version of that mic cable, for a better looking desk mic setup. The back of the DMS-1 base has a 1/8 in. jack (3.5mm female) for the audio from the microphone and a 4-pin XLR male output to deliver the audio and PTT from the DMS-1 PTT Desk Stand to the transceiver. Selected by transceiver, choose one required INRAD coiled cord adapter cable (DM Series) terminated with 4-pin XLR female and a specific transceiver microphone female connector: * INR-DM-I --Adapter Cable for INRAD DMS-1, 4-pin XLR to Icom 8-pin round Mic Input * INR-DM-K --Adapter Cable for INRAD DMS-1, 4-pin XLR to Kenwood 8-pin round Mic Input * INR-DM-Y – Adapter Cable for INRAD DMS-1, 4-pin XLR to Yaesu 8-pin round Mic Input * INR-DM-YM -- Adapter Cable for INRAD DMS-1, 4-pin XLR to Yaesu 8-pin modular Mic Input Own multiple transceiver models with different mic jack configurations? It's as easy as unplugging the cable from the rear of the DMS-1 base and connecting the next DM Series transceiver mic cable. Want a different on-air sound from a different INRAD microphone? The M-Series microphones are interchangeable. To change from one mic to another, unplug the 3-pin XLR cable from the back of the mic and pull it off the clip. Plug in the new mic, put it on the stand. It's that simple. Order your INRAD DMS-1 PTT Desk Stand and optional DM adapter cables from DX Engineering.

Highly unidirectional cardioid dynamic microphone features a large 1.125" diaphragm for clear, full audio response. This mic features excellent articulation with a rise in response to match the characteristics of speech for superior voice intelligibility. INRAD's top of the line microphone. -INRAD DMS-650 Well-articulated overall audio with overall higher-end output punch for DX operation and for using the speech processor on the radio to drive output. A top-of-the-line mic with less low end response than the M629. -INRAD DMS-686 Excellent transmit audio response from a unique cardioid dynamic element. Compared to the M629, the M686 has a slightly elevated higher end output useful for DXing. It has a bit of lower end response as compared to the M650, to retain a well-rounded sound with punch. Black metal frame, squared off metal microphone hood. The DMS-868 is a great choice to have it 'all-in-one'. -INRAD DMS-665 Features the "retro" chrome look reminiscent of the classic Shure 565. This microphone has a little bit less high frequency output plus slightly better overall frequency response. This unique cardioid dynamic unidirectional element features a built-in spherical breath and pop filter. Sounds great! -INRAD DMS-628 Flat overall response across all vocal frequencies without any boost at specific frequencies to cut lows or highs. Excels when used with an EQ, this is a good all-purpose mic that can be used with just about any HF transceiver. Clean, clear SSB transmit audio at a nice price! These INRAD Microphones and the 2.5 pound DMS-1 PTT locking base have received an enthusiastic review in the January 2018 issue of QST magazine. The review summary: "An excellent audio signal from a reasonably-priced, high-quality microphone." Want a different on-air sound from a different INRAD microphone? The M-series microphones are interchangeable. Unplug the 3 pin XLR cable from the back of the mic and pull it off the clip. Plug in the new mic, put it on the stand. It's that simple!
