La Crosse Technology 14 in. UltrAtomic analog wall clocks are the first Atomic clocks on the market that receive the new phase modulated enhanced WWVB broadcast signal, recently introduced by NIST. This advanced technology allows the radio time signal to "break through" barriers like cement walls that previous versions could not. UltrAtomic clocks operate even in the harshest conditions, where the signal-to-noise ratio interferes with radio-controlled clock reception using the legacy AM signal broadcast. The new WWVB broadcast provided by the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) includes a notification for the daylight savings time transitions well ahead of when they are to occur.
