SOTAbeams Tactical Mini Compact Ultra-Portable Telescopic Mast
SOTAbeams Tactical Mini Compact Ultra-Portable Telescopic Mast is small enough to fit in a backpack. It is tall enough to support an antenna, strong enough to withstand the elements and light enough that you can carry it with you anywhere you go! Portable operators need something lightweight and transportable to support their antennas. The Tactical Mini was designed with those features in mind. Even in the most demanding situations the Tactical Mini will not let you down. A great support for the Band Hopper 2 and Band Hopper 3 it is also the perfect support for a ground-plane antenna for 20M, dipoles and end-fed half wave antennas. SOTAbeams Tactical Mini Features: * Heavy gauge pole sections—the perfect balance of strength, stiffness, and weight for more demanding applications * Super short-packed length for easy transport in a backpack * Fits in aircraft carry-on baggage (always check before flying) * The very best extended length for tactical use in extreme conditions * Telescopic - perfect for rapid deployment * Military colors for low visual signature * Camouflage carry bag with draw string * Built-in base shock absorber * Non-conducting low-loss fiberglass construction * Hollow top-section allows wires to be fed through * Screw-cap base allows field repairs and section swap-outs * Perfect for use with the Band Hopper antenna range Detailed Specifications: -- Extended length: 19.6 ft. (6 meters) - Lengths approximate -- Packed length: 22.1 in. (56 cm) -- Number of sections: 11 -- Wall thickness: 0.04 in. (1 mm) bottom and top -- Weight: 1.5 lbs. (0.7 kg) -- Mast Material: heavy-duty glass-fiber composite (non-conducting for best RF performance) -- Tube diameter: Top 0.16 in. (4 mm); Base 1.53 in. (39 mm) -- Base cap diameter: 1.85 in. (47 mm) -- Tube color: Pantone 19-0622 TPX Military Olive -- Mast sections hollow to the top -- Supplied with camouflage carry bag with drawstring -- High impact foam shock absorber built into base. FAQ: -- The mast is made of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) = Fiberglass. This is an insulator with excellent RF properties (very low loss). -- The packed length can be reduced to 21.3 in. (54.2 cm) by removing the top and bottom caps—useful in some airline carry-on bags. The maximum dimension for an airline carry-on bag is typically 22 x 14 x 9 in. (56 x 35 x 22 cm). -- Friction lock: pull each section firmly with a twisting motion for best lock. When erecting always start with the smallest section. When taking down always start with the largest section. -- Mast sections may be removed by unscrewing the endcap at the bottom of the mast, pulling out the shock absorber and removing unwanted sections. Always replace the shock absorber before use.

SOTAbeams MDCS-100 Drive-on Mast Mount makes it easy to set up for portable operations with your fiberglass, aluminum or carbon fiber mast antenna support along side your parked car. Just drive a wheel onto the base plate and insert a mast into the steel sleeve. Perfect for operating from remote locations where other portable antenna mounting options are not available. Keep the drive-on mount in your car for a portable antenna system mount that is ready for any operating opportunity. This is a handy accessory for the well-equipped emergency communicator. Paired with the SOTAbeams Compact Travel Mast (SBM-TRAVELMAST), you have a complete portable solution for mounting a light-weight wire antenna. NOTE: This mount is not suitable for the SOTAbeams Mini Telescopic Pole or the Tactical 7000hds. The recommended maximum telescopic fiberglass or carbon fiber mast height is 33 ft. (10 m). Guying recommended; guying is required in windy conditions or when using antennas that exert a significant "pull". For some slim masts you will need to shim the sleeve to get a proper fit. Made of mild steel with an attractive silver painted finish it will give many years of service. Great with guyed aluminum, carbon fiber and fiberglass poles up to 2.25 in. diameter (58mm) at the base section. SOTAbeams ContestConsole Switching Unit for ICOM
SOTAbeams ContestConsole is a control switch unit for Icom transceivers, provides full access to compatible ICOM rig contest memory functions, and more. Easily connected between your radio and microphone, it is simple to use and feature packed. SOTAbeams ContestConsole features (dependent on Icom transceiver model): * Instant access to voice, CW and PSK memories (they do not need to be displayed on the transceiver screen) * TX PTT button * TX low power tune function – sends a 10W carrier (optional Tune Lead interface cable required) * Pushbutton frequency control (up and down) * External PTT socket for footswitch * Auxiliary microphone socket (3.5 mm) * Specifically designed to work with the IC-7300 but supports a wide range of other Icom transceivers--see "More Details" tab In general, if the radio is compatible with one of ICOM's standard 8-pin microphones (such as HM-36, SM-50, HM-219), then the ContestConsole PTT, frequency up, frequency down buttons, and the 3.5mm microphone socket should work for an electret element. If the radio manual mentions "external keypad" in relation to voice/CW/RTTY memories, then the ContestConsole memory buttons should work. Transceivers that are compatible with the AH-4 tuner should work with the ContestConsole tune button (optional Tune Lead interface cable required). An adapter cable (OPC-589) is required if the radio has a modular microphone connector instead of an 8-pin circular microphone connector. Operational Tips: 1. Some transceiver settings may need to be changed for the memory buttons to work. Search for "external keypad" in your transceiver manual for details. 2. Never connect two microphones at the same time to the ContestConsole. When connecting a microphone use either the 3.5 mm socket or the 8-pin socket, not both. 3. On some Icom transceivers, an external storage memory card or USB drive may be required for voice memory functionality.
