SSB Electronic AS-3000 Two-Port Wideband Mast Mount Antenna Switch covers the entire range from DC to 3 GHz, featuring a low-loss SPDT coaxial relay. This model (ESB-5059) can switch two antennas to one feedline, or it can be used to switch between horizontal and vertical polarization on a cross-polarized Yagi or X-quad. Featuring high power handling, very low in-line attenuation and SWR, and simple 13.8 VDC operation, the AS-3000 is an excellent addition to any VHF, UHF or SHF station. The solid aluminum chassis incorporates a mounting bracket for a 1.5 to 2.3 in. mast clamp, with three downward facing Type-N female connectors, for the default normally closed (NC) port, a normally open (NO) port and the common port. A 4-pin DIN with mating connector is used for direct DC control of the relay, and a user supplied shielded control cable is recommended to prevent RF induced false keying. The AS-3000 supports the use of short lengths of coaxial cable for mast mounted equipment to dramatically reduce losses. Coaxial lines used with this switch and antennas should be calculated and tailored so that they do not cause an impedance transformation.
