Times Microwave Systems® Mid-span Coaxial Grounding Kits

Times Microwave Systems Mid-span Coaxial Grounding Kits let you ground the coaxial shield to any convenient location with a ground lug. This includes most grounding clamps, plates and fixtures. For towers, an additional tower leg clamp is usually required. After stripping the outer jacket with a mid-span stripping tool, a pre-formed metal strap is applied to the braid/shield and tightened down. This strap is then electrically and mechanically connected to the ground source with a ground lead assembly, providing an excellent ground for the shield. These mid-span shield-grounding kits include: (1) Pre-formed tinned copper ground strap (1) Ground lead assembly (2) 1/4 in. brass lock-washers (2) 1/4 in. brass nuts (1) Roll 2-1/2 in. x 24 in. (610mm) butyl mastic (1) Roll 3/4 in. x 20 ft. (6.1m) PVC tape (1) Heat shrink tube (1) Field-crimp 3/8 in. 2-hole lug (2) 3/8 in. x 1-1/4 in. slotted bolts (2) 3/8 in. lock-washers (2) 3/8 in. nuts (2) 3/8 in. flat-washers (1) Detailed assembly instructions Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. Their included weatherproofing materials provide long-lasting environmental protection to help maintain a reliable ground for your coax. Times Microwave Systems® Bulk Coaxial Cables

Times Microwave Systems Bulk Coaxial Cables are recognized as superior RF cable products. The standard Times Microwave LMR® is a UV-resistant polyethylene jacketed cable designed for 20-year service in outdoor use. Depending upon size, LMR® cable has a solid copper or copper clad solid aluminum center conductor. Their bending and handling characteristics are significantly better than air-dielectric and corrugated hard line cables. LMR-DB® cable has a waterproofing compound to prevent moisture intrusion after a minor abrasion. Times Microwave Systems EZ Series and TC Series connectors are suitable for use on standard LMR® and LMR-DB® cables. Times Microwave Systems LMR® UltraFlex (UF) cables have a stranded bare copper center and a rubber jacket (black thermoplastic elastomer) designed for repeated bending. Times Microwave TC Series crimp connectors are designed for use on LMR® UltraFlex cables. LMR®'s RF shielding is typically 50 dB greater than standard coax. The copper shield and multi-ply bonded foil outer conductor is rated conservatively at greater than 90 dB. That's better than 180 dB isolation between two adjacent cables. A wide variety of connectors are available for LMR cables, including all common interface types, reverse polarity, and a choice of solder or non-solder center pins. Most LMR connectors employ crimped outer attachment using standard hex-crimp methods. Times Microwave Systems is a premier supplier of coaxial cable products worldwide. Only Times offers a range of products specifically developed to perform as needed in the most diverse range of environments. Times Microwave Systems has over 60 years of experience in building the highest-quality cables.
