Toptek Communications PA-180V VHF 138-174 MHz 180W Power Amplifiers
Toptek Communications PA-180V VHF 138-174 MHz 180W Power Amplifiers are very stable Solid State VHF linear amplifiers designed for Amateur Radio 2 Meter FM, SSB and CW operations and Commercial communications. Dual MOSFET push-pull PAs provide full RF output of 180 watts with only 5 watts input, making this amplifier* useful for both handheld and compatible mobile VHF transceivers. Mode, RX preamp, SWR meter and Power Output Settings of 60, 100, 140 and 180 watts are front panel selectable. The front panel multi-color 8 LED string serves to indicate output power settings, output power, SWR and Error. A unique shroud enables the oversize fan to quietly cool this compact amplifier for safe long-term operation at full power. Multiple protection circuits, a 21dB Receive Low Noise Amplifier (LNA), RF sense or PTT keying (required for SSB/CW) and thermostatically controlled fan are some of the great features of this Toptek VHF amplifier. True 50 ohm Type-N RF connectors maintain the highest efficiency to the feedline and the antenna. NOT compatible with DMR and P25 modes. *Requires 13.8 VDC @ 30A max. (External power supply not included).

Penta Labs RF Vacuum Tubes
Penta Laboratories was founded in 1951 and is a world-class manufacturer and distributor of a wide range of vacuum tubes for a variety of industries. Penta's commitment to excellence begins with design and follows each product all the way through distribution. Penta Labs matched vacuum tubes go through rigorous test procedures to enhance performance during their operation. Each Penta Labs vacuum tube is burned in for a minimum of 48 hours dissipating full power with filament, plate and screen voltages that are normally used in amplifier applications. All of this ensures that the various electrical parameters have stabilized and the matching of each vacuum tube will not drift during its lifetime. Penta Labs power tubes are matched within a 5% variation on all parameters. This is a process of eliminating tubes that test with bad values, rejecting those outside limits of design. Each passing vacuum tube is then tested on a fleet of WT-100A original RCA production testers for plate current, screen current and transconductance (gm). We also check for grid current and leakage between elements. When you receive single and matched vacuum tubes from Penta Labs, you can rest assured that you are receiving a product that has been thoroughly tested and will perform at levels unsurpassed in the industry. DX Engineering offers a selection of Penta Labs single and matched sets of RF vacuum tubes and ceramic vacuum tubes for your electronics project or repair. Order yours today!

Toptek Communications PA-80V-U Dual Band FM VHF/UHF Power Amplifiers
Toptek Communications PA-80V-U Dual Band FM VHF/UHF Power Amplifiers are attractive and flexible units intended for analog use with dual band handheld FM transceivers (HT), for Amateur 2M/70cm and VHF-UHF Safety, Business, Marine and Commercial applications. The PA80V-U operates over the 138-174 MHz and 430-470 MHz ranges with a nominal maximum power output of 80 watts on both bands. Typically, full output is achieved with 5 watts input from the transceiver. At a minimum input of 1 watt (maximum 10 watts), the amplifier automatically recognizes the transmitting frequency, switches to the appropriate band and signal path and keys the PA. The output power level can be set independently for VHF and UHF, preset to one of four steps: 25W, 45W, 65W, 85W. A multi-function eight LED bar graph meter measures Power Out, indicates power level settings, SWR (when Show SWR button is depressed), and indicates High SWR, Overdrive, Over-Under Voltage, High Temperature and PA Fail. Only FM Mode is supported, not DMR. NOT compatible with DMR and P25 modes. The Receive Low Noise Amplifier (RX LNA) can be turned on or off independently from the transmit Power Amplifier (TX PA). The LNA provides about 21db on VHF and 12dB on UHF. Input and Output connectors are Type N female for the best SWR and lower losses. The PA-80V-U requires 13.8 VDC at a maximum of 13A.

RM ITALY LA435 Wideband UHF Amplifiers
RM ITALY LA435 Wideband UHF Amplifiers are very compact linear units that cover from 405 to 480 MHz. They are ideally suited to low power handheld transceivers, requiring input drive from 1 watt to a maximum of 5 watts, delivering a nominal 60 watts of full output power, 70 watts PEP maximum. The LA435 amplifier features automatic "RF Sense" switching between RX and TX and it bypasses when it is switched off for low power operation. The SSB mode adds a small transmit-receive delay for smoother voice operation. The rear panel European-style removable DC power connector cable facilitates easy installation with a user supplied DC power cable fused for 15A at 13.8 VDC. The DC power cable to the mobile battery or power supply should be as short as possible. Use of a minimal length of low-loss 50 ohm coaxial cable to the appropriate UHF antenna is recommended. The LA-435 features Type-N input and output RF connectors to minimize losses. Actual output power depends on coaxial cable and antenna SWR as well as frequency of use. A graph in the manual illustrates the relationship between input and output power at 435 MHz. NOT compatible with DMR and P25 modes.

ACOM 2S1 Automatic Two-Transceiver Commutators
ACOM 2S1 Automatic Two-Transceiver Commutators are transmit/receive switches that allow two transceivers to use a common load, which can be either an amplifier or an antenna. These ingenious devices guard each transceiver's input while the other transceiver transmits, they prevent simultaneous transmissions and they allow simultaneous reception. Especially useful for SO2R operations, ACOM 2S1 Commutators are specially designed to work in unison with the ACOM2000A automatic HF Linear Amplifier. Nevertheless, they may be used to commutate a multi-band antenna, or may be adapted for other systems, too. Operation of 2S1 switches can be fully automatic with full break-in (QSK) mode standard. Built-in protection grounds one transceiver RF input while the other transceiver transmits. Simultaneous transmission is prevented while T/R sequencing and RF relay contacts are electronically monitored continuously. Here are the specifications of ACOM 2S1 Automatic Two-Transceiver Commutators: *Frequency Coverage: 1.8-54MHz, all Amateur bands. *Power Handling: 200W PEP or continuous carrier. *Input and Output Impedance: 50 Ohm nominal, unbalanced, UHF female (SO239) connectors * VSWR: Below 1.1:1 from 1.8-54MHz; below 1.2:1 up to 80MHz. *Power Requirement: 11-14 Vdc, less than 30mA consumption. *Dimensions, WHD: 4-11/32 x 2-21/32 x 1-21/32 in. (110 x 67 x 42 mm) *Weight: 0.8 lbs. (350g) including cables *Operating Temperature Range: 32 - 122 degrees F (0-50 degrees C) Join the realm of advanced dual-radio DXing and SO2R contesting operations. Adapt an ACOM 2S1 Automatic Two-Transceiver Commutator to your system. Order yours from DX Engineering.
