Penta Labs RF Vacuum Tubes
Penta Laboratories was founded in 1951 and is a world-class manufacturer and distributor of a wide range of vacuum tubes for a variety of industries. Penta's commitment to excellence begins with design and follows each product all the way through distribution. Penta Labs matched vacuum tubes go through rigorous test procedures to enhance performance during their operation. Each Penta Labs vacuum tube is burned in for a minimum of 48 hours dissipating full power with filament, plate and screen voltages that are normally used in amplifier applications. All of this ensures that the various electrical parameters have stabilized and the matching of each vacuum tube will not drift during its lifetime. Penta Labs power tubes are matched within a 5% variation on all parameters. This is a process of eliminating tubes that test with bad values, rejecting those outside limits of design. Each passing vacuum tube is then tested on a fleet of WT-100A original RCA production testers for plate current, screen current and transconductance (gm). We also check for grid current and leakage between elements. When you receive single and matched vacuum tubes from Penta Labs, you can rest assured that you are receiving a product that has been thoroughly tested and will perform at levels unsurpassed in the industry. DX Engineering offers a selection of Penta Labs single and matched sets of RF vacuum tubes and ceramic vacuum tubes for your electronics project or repair. Order yours today!

RM ITALY LA 250 Series VHF Linear Amplifiers
RM ITALY LA 250 Series VHF linear amplifiers are wideband, compact amplifiers covering 140 to 150 MHz. Available in two models, the only difference is that the LA 250 V includes a pair of cooling fans while the LA 250 does not. These high-power 2-meter amplifiers will provide up to 200 watts FM output. *** Note: Amplifier Color may vary. NOT compatible with DMR and P25 modes LA 250 Series details: * Frequency range: 140 to 150 MHz continuous * Input drive: 1 to 15 watt (maximum). Typically 10 to 12 watts in for 200 watts out * FM output power: 200-watt maximum * Modulation types: SSB, CW, AM, FM, data (switch selectable AM/FM or SSB) * PTT input or RF sense operation * LCD amplifier status screen: -- Input power -- Output power -- SWR -- Heatsink temperature * Internal low-pass filter * Self protection: Reverse polarity, high temperature, load VSWR, and excessive input power * Input VSWR: 1.1 to 1.5:1 * Output VSWR limit: 2.8:1 * SWR power foldback * Optionally cooled version with multispeed fans (LA 250 V) * Supply voltage: 12 to 14Vdc * Maximum DC current: 30A * Internal power fuses: three 10-amp (5x20mm Fast Blow) * Maximum bypass power (amplifier off): 50 watt * Power transistors: 4x Mitsubishi RD70HVF1 Important: Depending upon SWR and input voltage, 200 watts maximum output is typical with 10 to 12 watts input; 15 watts is the maximum input permissible for a low distortion signal. Protection circuits will take the amplifier offline (fault) at about 18 to 20 watts. Running amplifier output at 170 to 180 watts produces a more intelligible signal at virtually the same received level. Note: For additional information, please look at the files under the "Documentation" tab. These RM ITALY LA 250 Series VHF linear amplifiers are perfect for mobile use! You may also want to use them with a 5 watt portable radio or low-power base radio. Order from DX Engineering to give your 2 meter operations a boost!

4O3A 1A2R Radio Switches
The 4O3A 1A2R Radio Switch is engineered to allow a single amplifier to be safely shared between two radios, making it an ideal solution for SO2R (Single Operator Two Radios) contesting or multi-radio station setups. It uses a "first PTT wins" logic, ensuring that only one radio can access the amplifier at a time, preventing signal conflicts and potential equipment damage. Each radio's PTT control can be independently disabled via a dedicated switch, offering added flexibility during operation. Once installed, the switch eliminates the need for manual rewiring—your amplifier remains permanently connected and ready. In the event of a failure during SO2R operation, the amplifier can be quickly reassigned from Radio B to Radio A, providing a reliable backup path.
