Toptek Communications PA-350V VHF 135-165 MHz 350W Power Amplifiers

Toptek Communications PA-350V VHF 135-165 MHz 350W Power Amplifiers are advanced and versatile high-power linear amplifiers designed for Amateur Radio 2 Meter FM, SSB and CW operations and Commercial VHF. A large, easy-to-read green backlit Alphanumeric LCD provides simultaneous digital input power, output power, SWR readings. Front panel button actions and specialized, user-defined function readouts and menu selections are displayed, including incremental 100, 200, 300 and 350W power output settings. This VHF amplifier* delivers approximately 300 watts output with only 5 watts input from an HT or 350 watts maximum output with a VHF mobile. The PA-350V has two selectable input ranges, Low 15W max and High 30W max, achieving 350 watts output with either 10 watts input or 15 to 25 watts input, to accommodate almost any VHF transceiver. Multiple protection circuits, a Receive Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) with bandpass filter, RF sense or PTT keying (required for SSB/CW) and thermostatically controlled fans are some of the great features of this top-of-the-line Toptek amplifier. True 50 ohm Type-N RF connectors maintain the highest efficiency to the feedline and antenna. NOT compatible with DMR and P25 modes NOTE: Rear panel accessory jack (4-pin mini-DIN) is provided for the accessory REMOTE Control Panel, TEK-REMOTE. *Requires 13.8 VDC @ 50A max. (External power supply not included).

RM ITALY MLA100 HF Amplifiers

RM ITALY MLA100 HF Amplifiers cover all Amateur bands, 160 through 6 meters, providing up to 100 watts output on HF and 80 watts on 6 meters with only 5 watts maximum RF input. They are the perfect choice for medium power operations with today's very capable, low power (QRP) radios, including many brands of portable and SDR transceivers. The MLA100 features PIN diodes for very fast receive-transmit-receive switching am seamless QSK CW fast break-in operation. Band selections are automatically detected and switched or may be set manually. Front panel LEDs display power output and SWR simultaneously on dual bar graphs. MLA100 amplifiers have built in protection from excessive input power, high temperature and high SWR. The MLA100 is a clean and capable standard solid state linear amplifier using two robust Mitsubishi RD1000HHF1 MOSFETs built into a massive, chassis-sized heatsink. The MLA100V is the same amplifier unit with the addition of an externally mounted fan. Both MLA100 and MLA100V HF Amplifiers require 13.8 Vdc at 20 A maximum, and feature a rear panel 20A ATC fuse and DC power quick connector. Also on the rear panel are Input and Output SO-239/UHF female RF connectors and a female RCA phono "PTT" for amplifier keying. Their chassis measure 190 x 182 x 78mm x (7.48 x 7.17 x 3.07 in.) and weigh 1.4kg (3.1 lbs.). *** Note: Amplifier Color may vary. PLEASE NOTE: This amplifier is intended to be used with a low power (QRP) transceiver that is capable of an RF output of approximately 5 watts maximum. DO NOT USE this amplifier with radios that are capable of 100 watts output. Even when output power is turned down, many 100 watt transceivers send out an instantaneous high power RF pulse that will blow out the Solid State final transistors of this amplifier. Damage to final transistors due to RF pulse and overdrive is NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. It is the owner's responsibility to use this amplifier properly, with a low power radio that cannot accidently damage the amplifier. Cost of repair of amplifiers with blown finals will be charged to the customer or will be deducted from the refund of returned amplifiers with blown finals. Available exclusively in North America from DX Engineering, order your RM ITALY MLA100 HF Amplifier to bring new operational capability - and more fun - to your QRP transceiver.

RM ITALY MLA-400V HF Amplifiers

RM Italy MLA-400V HF Amplifiers cover all Amateur Bands, 160 through 10 meters providing up to 400 watts output on HF with only 35 watts maximum input. These amplifiers are the perfect choice for operators that want to bump their 100-watt radio to a higher power level. Featuring four Toshiba 2SC2879 arranged in a parallel push-pull configuration, the MLA-400 provides clean Class AB power output up to 400 watts. Six Low Pass filters with frequencies of 3, 4, 5, 8, 15, 22, and 31 MHz reduce unwanted harmonic output and may be selected automatically or manually. An onboard microprocessor controls all aspects of the amplifier including its various protection circuits. Protection is provided for excessive input power, excessive output power, excessive load SWR, out of band operation and excessive temperature. The four Toshiba 2SC2879 MOSFETs are attached to a chassis sized heatsink that has two fans for additional cooling. The front panel features indicators for the currently selected band, power output SWR, protection alarm, transmit indicator and SSB delay. The rear panel features SO-239s for input and output, a female RCA for a PTT line and the power connector. The MLA-400V requires 70 amps at 13.8 volts DC and can be used either in a fixed location or in a mobile install. The chassis has points that can be used for securing the amplifier in a mobile installation.

Penta Labs RF Vacuum Tubes

Penta Laboratories was founded in 1951 and is a world-class manufacturer and distributor of a wide range of vacuum tubes for a variety of industries. Penta's commitment to excellence begins with design and follows each product all the way through distribution. Penta Labs matched vacuum tubes go through rigorous test procedures to enhance performance during their operation. Each Penta Labs vacuum tube is burned in for a minimum of 48 hours dissipating full power with filament, plate and screen voltages that are normally used in amplifier applications. All of this ensures that the various electrical parameters have stabilized and the matching of each vacuum tube will not drift during its lifetime. Penta Labs power tubes are matched within a 5% variation on all parameters. This is a process of eliminating tubes that test with bad values, rejecting those outside limits of design. Each passing vacuum tube is then tested on a fleet of WT-100A original RCA production testers for plate current, screen current and transconductance (gm). We also check for grid current and leakage between elements. When you receive single and matched vacuum tubes from Penta Labs, you can rest assured that you are receiving a product that has been thoroughly tested and will perform at levels unsurpassed in the industry. DX Engineering offers a selection of Penta Labs single and matched sets of RF vacuum tubes and ceramic vacuum tubes for your electronics project or repair. Order yours today!
