Chameleon Antenna SOTA Activation Zone Model 2 Portable HF Antennas were designed specifically for the demanding conditions and constraints encountered during Summits on the Air (SOTA) activations or other extreme outdoor radio sports. The CHA SOTA AZ-1 will operate on 40, 30, and 20 meters and does not require an antenna tuner. When packed, it is small and light weight, and it can be used on summits that do not have trees using an operator supplied 10-15ft. telescopic mast or other suitable support. Both Near Vertical Incident Skywave (NVIS) propagation and DX communication are supported by this antenna. Kelemen Trap Dipole Antennas
Kelemen Trap Dipole Antennas are high-quality, heavy-duty pre-assembled wire antennas intended for permanent installations. They feature special traps made with of PTFE (Teflon®) insulated coax for high Q and low losses, offer high performance multi-band operations—and are excellent shortened antennas where there's not enough space for a full-size dipole. Kelemen Trap Dipole Antennas include a series of monoband models, as well as a series of multi-band models that cover an extensive combination of HF bands from 160m through 10 meters. Specific models handle either 400 watts, 1,000 watts or 2,000 watts PEP SSB and CW at resonance. Kelemen Antennas are fully temperature-resistant and weather-proof, and are manufactured from high-quality materials. Balun cases are constructed of transparent, weather-proof polycarbonate with a bottom-mounted SO-239 (UHF female) connector. Hardware and clamps are all stainless steel. Each antenna is completely assembled with the balun, clear PVC-insulated stranded copper wire, stainless wire clamps and egg insulators, ready for operation. Just add rope and coax to complete your Kelemen wire antenna installation. Kelemen Trap Dipole Antennas may be mounted horizontally or in an Inverted-Vee configuration with a central support required. Many Kelemen Antennas are perfect for portable operations because of their low weight. Their coaxial traps are much lighter than conventional traps, making it easier to keep the antenna at an effective height. In many cases they can be easily supported by a single fiberglass pole. For base operations, these antennas should be placed high, in an unobstructed location well away from buildings to limit shifting of resonant frequencies. Chameleon Antenna CHA LRT 2.0 Loop Remote Tuners
Chameleon Antenna CHA LRT 2.0 Loop Remote Tuners allow for remote tuning of the CHA F-LOOP 2.0 magnetic loop antennas. This permits the antenna to be mounted up to 20 feet from the operating position, such as on a balcony or deck and enables precise tuning of the loop. The CHA LRT 2.0 replaces the manual tuning knob with a motor housing and is controlled by a wired, battery-powered control box that features fast and slow tuning buttons. The CHA LRT 2.0 is not an electronic Automatic Tuning Unit (ATU), this is an electric device for mechanically rotating the loop tuning unit capacitor in place of the standard manual tuning knob. Includes detailed instructions to allow for easy installation and operation of the Loop Remote Tuner.
