United Microsystems BT-75/BOG Beverage-On-Ground Antenna Transformers
The United Microsystems BT-75/BOG Beverage-on-Ground (BOG) Antenna Transformers are specifically designed for Beverage-on-Ground receive antennas and is based on the proven BT-75 transformer used with elevated Beverage antennas. Because BOG antennas are installed directly on or just above the ground, they require no supports and can be significantly shorter than traditional Beverage antennas, making them a practical option where space is limited. BOG antennas typically exhibit lower impedance than elevated Beverage antennas. The BT-75/BOG is optimized to provide proper impedance matching between the antenna and 75-ohm RG-6 coaxial cable, improving performance compared to standard Beverage transformers. For correct operation, the far end of the antenna must be terminated with a 250 to 300-ohm resistive load. The United Microsystems RXT-270 termination resistor is recommended. Properly installed Beverage antennas are low-noise, receive-only antennas that provide excellent rejection of signals and noise from the undesired direction. Due to the lower velocity factor of radio waves near the ground, a BOG antenna can often deliver a radiation pattern similar to an elevated Beverage antenna of roughly twice the length, though with reduced signal strength. A BOG antenna as short as 150 to 200 feet can provide effective receive performance, although a preamplifier may be beneficial in some installations. The BT-75/BOG is designed for use with 75-ohm RG-6 coaxial cable. Originally developed for television applications, RG-6 offers low loss at VHF and UHF frequencies, resulting in extremely low loss on the 160, 80, and 40-meter bands. Its availability and low cost make it a popular choice for low-band receive antenna feed lines. The transformer is housed in a NEMA-rated enclosure with stainless steel hardware for long-term outdoor durability. A built-in gas discharge tube across the antenna terminals helps protect the transformer from nearby lightning-induced surges, although it will not provide protection against direct or very close lightning strikes.

DX Engineering RF PRO Loop Replacement Components
Since DX Engineering manufactures the RF-PRO-1B® Active Magnetic Loop Receive Antenna, we can offer these RF PRO Loop Replacement Components. Available for refurbishing Pixel, InLogis or DX Engineering Active Magnetic Loops, choose one or more of these individual "Original Equipment" components, component set or handy accessory pack that fills your needs. 1. DXE-RFPRO1B-PA Receive Preamplifier has this new part number for the preamp unit only. This is the weatherproof, metal-encased replacement RF PRO 1B Receive Preamplifier that mounts directly onto the loop bracket. Mounting hardware is not included with this replacement low-noise preamp, but it is available in the… 2. DXE-RFPRO1B-OAP Outdoor Accessory Pack. This package contains the insulated shoulder washers, flat washers and nuts to properly mount the preamp. Also included in this outdoor package for the loop installation are the mast mounting V-Bolts and Saddles and the short RG-6 F connector jumper to connect the loop to the preamp, and weather sealer. User supplied RG-6 coaxial cable is used for the long feedline that is run inside to the… 3. DXE-RFPRO1B-PI Power Inserter. This is the indoor unit that puts a well filtered and regulated 20 Vdc power onto the feedline for the preamp. It carries the loop RF to the receiver via the F connector. This unit also disables the power to the preamp when it is keyed by the transceiver amplifier keying line. The Power Inserter is run on 24 Vac from the… 4. DXE-PSW-24A-6AU AC Adapter. This clean power supply is a linear transformer that converts 120 Vac to the 24 Vac at 600 mA required by the Power Inserter. It is has the attached 2.1mm power connector. 5. DXE-RFPRO1B-IAP Indoor Accessory Pack contains the cables and adapter to connect the transceiver RF and keying lines to the Power Inserter. The F connector coaxial cable connects RF from the Inserter to the radio. A supplied F female to PL-259 adapter facilitates that connection, should you radio need it. An RCA phono patch cable is supplied for keying the Power Inserter and a RCA phono y-adapter provides the additional keying line connection for a power amplifier. 6. DXE-RF-30B Complete Component Package is for a system replacement where only an existing RF PRO 1B Loop is available. All of the above individual components, cables and hardware items listed above, items 1 through 5, but not the loop, are included in this DXE-RF-30B package. 7. DXE-PRO-LOOP is the Replacement RF PRO 1B Loop that is ordered by customers who have all other components of their system working. When your damaged or defective loop needs to be replaced, this is the loop only part to order. RF-PRO-1B® Loops may occasionally need a replacement component or hardware package. DX Engineering Receive Filter Plug-In Modules
DX Engineering Receive Filter Plug-In Modules provide frequency-specific receiving system enhancements, which fit into special DX Engineering devices listed below. These advanced plug-in filter modules are available separately to allow any user to create a specific or customized filter with low-pass, band-pass and high-pass frequency ranges. Filter cut-off and center frequencies correspond to the major Amateur bands, 160, 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters, with filter module insertion loss of only about 1dB. By reducing or excluding frequency-specific interfering noise and signals, the noise floor can be lowered for the desired passband for dramatically improved reception DX Engineering Receive Filter Plug-In Modules may be installed in these devices: DXE-DMC-2 Dual Module Chassis accepts one or two filter modules to create a stand-alone passive inline filter unit of any configuration. One high pass and one low pas can be combined to create a multi-band bandpass filter of any HF range. DXE-RPA-2-PM Modular Receive Preamplifier accepts one Receive Filter Plug-In Module to customize the preamplifier passband. DXE-NCC-2 Receive Phasing Controller can accept one or two Receive Filter Plug-In Modules, one into each, Channel A and Channel B. The DX Engineering NCC-2 is highly regarded by many owners and engineers to be the best receive phasing and noise canceling unit available and is used extensively by enthusiasts in Amateur Radio DXing, Contesting, AM DXing, and Short-Wave Listening (SWL), and is also used in commercial AM and HF broadcast applications. DX Engineering Receive Filter Plug-In Modules add an extra dimension of functionality to the NCC-2, for advanced directional noise and signal nulling performance, enhanced with a specific frequency range operations. By default, NCC-2 internal option slots have bypass boards to pass all signals. Receive Filters placed into these slots dedicate the unit to filtered operation. Typically, one pair of band-pass or high-pass or low-pass filters, depending on desired filtering, is installed in the NCC-2 to suit the specific signal rejection needs of the discerning operator. As an example, an 80 meter DX enthusiast may elect to install two 80 meter band pass Receive Filter Plug-In Modules, part number DXE-R-BP80-PM, into their NCC-2 Channel A and Channel B middle slots. This dedicates their NCC-2 to 80 meter-only operations. This dramatically reduces noise and signals from outside the 80 meter band, very effectively excluding interference from nearby AM Broadcast, 160 and 40 meter stations. A much lower noise floor across 80 meters can help achieve reception of weak 80 meter DX signals. An additional pair of filters can be swapped out for a different band when desired. Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. All Receive Filter Plug-In Modules displayed here are also conveniently listed on a single page linked in Documentation.
