WiMo X-Quad Antennas

WiMo X-Quad Antennas, with separate monoband models for 144-146 MHz or 430-440 MHz, represent a refinement of VHF and UHF cross-polarized Yagis. They are well-known in Europe as "multi-element quads"—an antenna with aluminum elements, not a wire and fiberglass antenna—which offer excellent gain with a relatively short boom length. X-Quads are a great solution due to their short length and lightweight construction, especially for VHF/UHF satellite systems which require rotation in all compass directions and elevations. Two X-Quad Antennas, one for 144-146 MHz and one for 430-440 MHz, may be mounted at opposite ends of an azimuth-elevation rotator cross-boom for high-performance full duplex Satellite operations. For either or both bands, X-Quad Antennas may instead be used in a stationary mount, as pictured, for all-mode terrestrial operations. In either application, multiple X-Quad Antennas may be stacked vertically and horizontally for additional gain and tighter patterns. The WiMo X-Quad special features, developed specifically for Satellite Amateur Radio include: * Switchable Polarization Plane; horizontal/vertical/right hand circular/left hand circular (remote switching requires optional equipment) * High gain compared to other antenna forms due to the "stacking effect" * Short boom length and compact design * Back-end boom or mid-boom centered mounting to the mast is possible The radiator element is a "stacked quad" multi-element beam, for which linear polarization can be compared to a crossed slotted radiator. However, the advantage of the X-Quad is that it can be optimally used for the desired polarization by simply changing the feed. Compared to a typical cross-polarized Yagi, all directors and reflectors are active in the X-Quad, which enables the compact design. As with cross-polarized Yagis, switching is accomplished on the mono-band X-Quad either by a coaxial relay or with a band specific WiMo Remote Polarization Switch (sold separately). If the remote switch is mounted at the antenna, then only one coax cable and a 4-conductor control cable are required, sold separately. If the Switch is used at the station, then two coaxial cables from the antenna to the station are needed. The WiMo X-Quad Antenna can also be permanently set for circular operation by using an optional, band-specific Phase Line. The secondary elements are arranged diagonally in relation to the square-shaped driven element, which corresponds to the voltage distribution on the radiating element, for the most favorable results. In comparison to Yagi antennas, the X-Quad pattern and tuning are affected less by the influence of external fields, making them ideal for installation under a roof, in an attic space. All elements are electrically conductively connected with boom and cable outer sheath, thus eliminating interference from atmospheric noise. Two Type-N female coaxial connectors, one for each polarization, are mounted in a housing that is waterproof. Boom and elements are made of aluminum, all hardware is stainless steel. Construction and design of the antennas are protected by law (DBGM). The antennas are designed for boom-end mounting; however, alternatively the mast clamp can be mounted in the middle of a non-metallic boom. These antennas have a split boom, so their transport length is only 29.53 in. (75cm) for the 2m antenna and 25.59 in. (65cm) for the 70cm X-Quad. For portable operations they can be stowed away comfortably in the trunk of car and their shipping costs are comparatively low.

M2 Antennas 222-10EZ 222 MHz Yagi Antennas

M2 Antennas 222-10EZ 222 MHz Yagi Antennas are used by operators who want more than a basic beam antenna. Featuring a balanced, top-of-the-line feeder matching system, these 10 element antennas handle full legal limit and deliver weak-signal or distant repeater and simplex performance that is far beyond the capabilities of small end-mount beams or base station verticals. M2 Antennas 222-10EZ are, as their name implies, easily assembled. Built on very easy to handle and turn 10 ft. booms, these medium-sized, computer designed Yagis cover 222 to 226 MHz with flat gain and low SWR. Strong, yet lightweight and streamlined, they complement any VHF system. The heart of each 222-10EZ is their unique Driven Element Module, offering a balanced feeder for excellent pattern. Superior weather resistance and power handling abilities are achieved with all connectors that are O-ring sealed to the CNC machined block and internal connections are sealed in a space-age silicone gel with a dielectric strength nearly 4 times greater than air. The coaxial cable balun connectors are triple sealed. Other key mechanical and electrical parts are CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and all hardware except the U-bolts is stainless steel. These balanced feeder beams are suitable for operations into distant FM repeaters or on simplex when mounted vertically, as shown, on a fiberglass mast. For weak-signal work on SSB, CW and digital modes, this beam may be mounted horizontally on a metal mast. In either case, since M2 Antennas 222-10EZ 222 MHz Yagi Antennas have very clean patterns, they are perfect for stacking vertically or horizontally, to bring your 1.25 meter band operations to a new level. Create CLP-5130-2N VHF/UHF Log-Periodic Antennas

Create CLP-5130-2N VHF/UHF Log-Periodic Antennas are high-gain, wideband directional beam antennas. Designed for horizontal polarization, they may also be mounted vertically with user-supplied hardware. These antennas are capable of transmitting on all amateur bands from 2-meters through 23-centimeters at 500 watts power! Forward gain from 105 MHz to 1,300 MHz is 11 to 13 dBi, depending on the frequency. They present an SWR of less than 2.0:1 across their entire 1,195 MHz range of operation. They are also suitable for use in scanner listening, VHF/UHF television, aviation band, government communications, and business-band radio. These log-periodics use a specially shaped aluminum boom that allows for movement of the phasing line. Additionally, distortions in the vertical and horizontal planes have been minimized and adjustment of the element-alignment is unnecessary. This results in a more uniform radiation pattern when compared to similar antennas. Create Log-Periodic antennas are very easy to assemble when compared to other log-periodic designs. Quality is seen everywhere… even the boom-to-mast bracket is made of a rugged magnesium alloy. A Type N connector is employed for maximum signal transfer at high UHF frequencies. To fully utilize the bandwidth of these antennas requires a high-quality coax, like DXE-400MAX or LMR-600. If you don't have the space or resources to put up several VHF and UHF antennas, Create CLP-5130-2N VHF/UHF Log-Periodic Antennas are truly your one-antenna solution to VHF/UHF operation up to 23 cm!

Create FM Broadcast Band Log Periodic Antennas

Create FM Broadcast Band Log Periodic Antennas are commercial grade directional antennas. model CD-95Y will ensure that you can hear distant stations clearly- and in stereo or HD! These heavy duty beam antennas include the vertical mounting bracket and tubing designed specifically to avoid the negative influence the mast would have to the radiation pattern. Their mechanical design is commercial quality, and they use a specially designed aluminum boom that acts as a phasing line. With no tuning or adjustments required, assembly is very easy. Built with heavy wall tubing, magnesium alloy mounting brackets and stainless steel U-bolts and hardware, these antennas will survive 90 MPH winds for secure and reliable installations. These beams offer an SWR under 1.5:1 across the entire band, from 88 to 108 MHz. Create FM Broadcast Band Log Periodic Antennas feature commercial quality, heavy-duty beam antennas that are excellent for FM broadcast band reception or low power directional transmission.
