Yaesu G-450ADC Medium-Duty Rotator Systems

Yaesu G-450ADC Medium-Duty Rotator Systems are the entry-level rotator and controller that are perfect for small HF beams, a tri-bander or VHF and UHF antennas up to about 10 sq. ft. of tower-mounted wind load. A lesser wind load of about 5 sq. ft. can be handled when mounting the G-450ADC on top of a mast with the optional lower mast bracket, GC-038. Rotate Amateur and professional antennas with the Yaesu's handsome 120 Vac desktop remote control console, featuring a compass-style indicator at the station operating position. The G-450ADC rotator system provides 450 degrees of azimuth rotation in just over one minute. The rotator handles masts of 1.25 to 2.48 in. outside diameter and, when tower mounted, a total vertical mast load up to 200 lbs. In the Yaesu G-450ADC, the clamshell rotator design utilizes 98 heavy 7/16-inch dual-stacked circumferential ball bearings to distribute load over the full diameter of the housing. This design minimizes stress and wear, and practically eliminates the possibility of destructive water entry: there is no shaft hole in the top of the housing. Yaesu's factory-lubricated rotator units are housed in Melamine resin-coated die-cast aluminum intended to provide maintenance-free operation under all climatic conditions. IMPORTANT NOTE: Beginning in 2019 the new Yaesu G-450ADC Rotator motors and controllers operate with a 20 V DC control voltage, four-wire system, using the provided connectors to be installed at each end of the user supplied control cable, same as the previous models. For clarity, the new DC rotator motors are marked "G-450DC" at the connector. The rear panel of the controller is titled "G-450ADC" on the serial number label. WARNING: The legacy Yaesu G-450A Rotator motors and controllers used a 26 VAC control voltage, five-wire system. Therefore, old AC controllers are NOT compatible with new DC rotator motors, and new DC controllers are not compatible with old AC rotator motors. All control cable assemblies for all modern Yaesu rotator systems use the same connectors with "1 to 1 pin-out" connector wiring. Therefore, older cable assemblies are compatible with the new Yaesu G-450ADC components, which only use pins 2, 3, 4 and 5 in each connector. For control cable runs less than 125 ft. use four-conductor, 20 gauge control cable (4 x 20 AWG). If the rotator cable needs to be longer than 125 ft., then use four-conductor 18 gauge cable (4 x 18 AWG). The input voltage for the G-450ADC controller is labeled "117 VAC" to indicate house current of 110 to 120 Vac. When you need a medium-duty rotator system, which is durable and attractive, order a new Yaesu G-450ADC Medium-Duty Rotator System from DX Engineering.

Hustler 6BTV 6-Band HF Vertical Antenna and DXE Installation Guide Packages

Hustler 6BTV 6-Band HF Vertical Antenna and DXE Installation Guide Packages are trapped-vertical antennas that provide an omni-directional pattern. 6BTVs were designed as self-supporting verticals to provide efficient operation in the 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, and 75 or 80 meter bands. These antennas perform well in restricted space areas. For peak performance, a field of radial wires should be used. Hustler 6-BTVs provide for automatic selection of bands through the use of optimum-Q traps which are individually and precisely tuned and internally sealed at the factory. These traps are parallel-tuned circuits, which provide very effective isolation between the vertical sections, permitting precise multi-band operation. Broadband operation, with low SWR over the entire ham band, (limited on 80 and 75 meters), is possible in a proper installation. These antennas were designed to provide optimum performance from both an electrical and mechanical standpoint. Mechanically, these antennas boast a heavy-duty base and heavy-duty aluminum tubing throughout. The mechanical assembly is accomplished with all stainless steel hardware. Performance provided by the Hustler 6BTVs is better than any other antenna of this type. Broad-banding is such that one measurement and setting permits both phone and CW operation. The antenna provides nominal 52-ohm base impedance when installed and tuned according to the instructions. The radiation efficiency is equal to, or greater than, other trap verticals. An optional DX Engineering Tilt Base allows the antennas to be easily brought down during non-operating times or for tuning and maintenance. DX Engineering RPA-2 Modular Receive Preamplifiers

DX Engineering RPA-2 Modular Receive Preamplifiers are newly designed versions of the RPA-1 with internal slots for accessory modules. They accommodate the addition of the one optional plug-in module, such as the 75 to 50 ohm Impedance Transformer Module, or the Receiver Guard 5000HD Plug-In Module, or the DX Engineering Clifton Laboratories Z10020 AM Band Filter Module. DXE-RPA-2 preamps have very low internal noise and are optimized for the 300 kHz to 35 MHz range. They help you hear the weakest signals without artificially raising the noise. Meticulous craftsmanship and durable, robust components allow these preamplifiers to withstand high signal levels while providing superior dynamic range and third-order intercept performance that equals or exceeds most receiver and transceiver front-ends. RPA-2 Receive Preamplifiers have key features added, as requested by our tech-oriented customers and enthusiasts: - Internal slot accommodates the optional 75 to 50 ohm Impedance Transformer Module to accomplish typical receive antenna feedline to equipment transitions without losses -Also allows direct connection to 50 ohm receive antenna feedline BNC connectors with no transformer required - Internal slot for DXE-RG5000HD-PM Receiver Guard 5000HD Plug-In Module – Front-end protection for the RPA-2 - Secure BNC female connectors and receive-system friendly F female connectors remain; both prevent accidental connection to transmitting devices with UHF connectors - A green LED indicates when DC power is present and the preamplifier circuit is engaged. - An ingenious positive-capture threaded-sleeve 2.1 mm power connector that ensures the DC power cannot be accidentally disconnected from the RPA-2. - Alternatively, a simple internal jumper change allows the RPA-2 to be powered by DC on the feedline While many other common preamplifiers suffer from harmonic distortion, RPA-2 Modular Receive Preamplifiers include our exclusive, advanced push-pull design that eliminates harmonic distortion. Built for years of slip free service, Solid Center Cross Booms eliminate the worry of crushing, cracking or splintering the center portion of an all fiberglass cross boom. One of the uses for these extra heavy duty solid center 11 ft. long cross booms are in an azimuth-elevation rotator (AZ-EL). Two medium or long boom Yagi antennas of two different VHF/UHF bands are mounted at each end of the cross boom, as required for satellite uplink and downlink operations. These cross booms are also used for horizontally stacking a phased pair of 2 meter cross polarized Yagi antennas for all-mode terrestrial operations including on FM and SSB/CW, as well as for a pair of circularly polarized Yagi beams for EME. These two applications require a non-metallic cross boom mounted horizontally on a rotating mast or in the AZ-EL rotator, respectively. The ultimate satellite, EME or terrestrial VHF/UHF antenna system uses two of these cross booms mounted vertically at the ends of an 11 ft. metallic cross boom. This type of four cross or circularly polarized Yagi array, horizontally and vertically stacked, provides incredible gain and front-to-back performance, effectively quadrupling your effective radiated power (ERP) and dramatically increasing your reception capabilities. DX Engineering also carries the coaxial cables and M2 Antennas Beams and Power Dividers to build your best-ever satellite, EME or long haul terrestrial phased array installation. Mount them all with M2 Antennas Solid Center Cross Booms from DX Engineering.

Hustler 4BTV 4-Band HF Vertical Antenna and DXE Installation Guide Packages

Hustler 4BTV 4-band HF vertical antenna and DXE installation guide packages are 4-band, trap vertical antennas that provide an omni-directional pattern. The 4BTVs are designed as self-supporting verticals to give optimum operation in the 10, 15, 20, and 40 meter bands. They can also be upgraded to operate on 75 or 80 meters. These antennas perform well in restricted space areas. For optimal performance, radial wires should be used. The Hustler 4-BTVs provide an electrical selection of bands through the use of optimum Q traps, which are individually and precisely tuned and internally sealed at the factory. The traps are parallel-tuned circuits, which provide efficient isolation between the vertical sections, permitting multi-band operation. Broadband operation, with low SWR over the entire ham band, is possible in a proper installation. The antennas are designed to provide for optimum performance from both an electrical and a mechanical standpoint. Mechanically, these antennas boast a heavy duty base and heavy duty aluminum tubing. The mechanical assembly is accomplished with all stainless steel hardware. The performance provided by the Hustler 4BTVs is better than that of any other antenna of this type. The broadbanding is such that one measurement and setting permit both phone and CW operation. The antennas provide a nominal 52 ohm base impedance when installed and tuned. The radiation efficiency is equivalent to, or greater than, other trap verticals. The optional DX Engineering Tilt Base allows the antennas to be easily brought down during non-operating times or for tuning and maintenance.
