DX Engineering High CMI Receive Feedline Chokes
DX Engineering High CMI Receive Feedline Chokes achieve exceptionally high isolation between the input and output connector shields to effectively block common-mode RF noise and unwanted signals that collect on 50 or 75 ohm receive antenna feedlines. Ongoing research and development by the design team at DX Engineering has produced two bidirectional Receive Feedline Chokes; a 50-ohm model with BNC female connectors and a 75-ohm model with Type-F female connectors. Both chokes cover the RF frequency range 100 kHz through 30 MHz. They exhibit very high common mode impedance* (CMI typically over 8,000 ohms across the 160, 80, and 40 meter bands) and feature DC pass capability up to 700 mA at 13.8VDC, with extremely low SWR and negligible insertion loss. Affordable DX Engineering High CMI Receive Feedline Chokes will be considered the best, most versatile receive chokes ever produced for typical low band receive antenna applications.

DX Engineering NCC-1 Receive Filter Sets
DX Engineering announces a series of NCC-1 Receive Filter Sets, a breakthrough option for owners of the NCC-1 Receive Antenna Phasing Unit. These advanced plug-in filter module sets offer frequency-specific receive antenna system enhancements for the NCC-1. All filter modules sets are available in matched pairs of low-pass, band-pass and high-pass frequency ranges. Filter cut-off and center frequencies correspond to the major Amateur bands, 160, 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters, with filter module insertion loss of only about 1 dB. Highly regarded by many owners and engineers to be the best receive phasing and noise canceling unit available, the DX Engineering NCC-1 is used extensively by enthusiasts in Amateur Radio DXing, Contesting, AM DXing, and Short-Wave Listening (SWL), and is also used in commercial AM and HF broadcast applications. DX Engineering NCC-1 Receive Filter Sets add a new dimension of functionality to the NCC-1, for advanced directional noise and signal nulling performance, enhanced with specific frequency range operations. By default, NCC-1 filter slots are jumpered to pass all signals. On the NCC-1 front panel, the BAND toggle switch "L" or "H" positions each activate one of two filter pair slots, allowing over 360 degrees of phase rotation in two frequency ranges. The BAND switch "L" position covers from 850 kHz to 8 MHz. The BAND switch "H" position covers from 2 MHz to 15 MHz. Frequencies outside these ranges will have less than 360 degrees of phase rotation. NCC-1 Receive Filter Sets must be placed into the proper BAND filter slots corresponding to desired usage. NCC-1 Receive Filter Sets are pairs of filters (2 of the same type), so both NCC-1 receive antenna inputs "A" and "B" exhibit the same pass-band characteristics. Band-pass, high-pass or low-pass filters are available for users to choose and install into their NCC-1 for their desired application. By reducing or excluding frequency-specific interfering noise and signals, the noise floor of the desired pass-band can be lowered for dramatically improved reception. You can install one set or two sets, depending on your desired filtering. NCC-1 "L" and "H" slots may be populated with pairs of band-pass, high-pass, or low-pass filters to suit the specific signal rejection needs of the discerning operator. As an example, an 80 meter DX enthusiast may elect to install two 80 meter band pass NCC-1 Receive Filters, part number DXE-NCCFL-BPF80M, into their NCC-1 "L" BAND slots. This would dedicate their NCC-1 to 80 meter-only operations. Setting the BAND switch to "L" would dramatically reduce noise and signals from outside the 80 meter band, very effectively excluding interference from nearby AM Broadcast, 160 and 40 meter stations. A much lower noise floor on 80 meters could be achieved for dramatically enhanced reception of weak 80 meter DX signals. An additional pair of filters could be installed into the "H" BAND slots, to enhance reception on the higher HF bands. For example, installing 20 meter high pass filters, part number DXE-NCCFL-HP20M, and switching to BAND H would drastically reduce all received noise and signals from frequencies below 13.70 MHz. With advanced planning of additional filter availability, an NCC-1 owner could even swap different filter sets for optimal operations in different contests or band pursuits. All NCC-1 Receive Filter Sets displayed here are also conveniently listed on a single page in the link tab called "Documentation." Order one or two DX Engineering NCC-1 Receive Filter Sets for your unit and enjoy the best possible performance from your NCC-1.

DX Engineering Receive Filter Plug-In Modules
DX Engineering Receive Filter Plug-In Modules provide frequency-specific receiving system enhancements, which fit into special DX Engineering devices listed below. These advanced plug-in filter modules are available separately to allow any user to create a specific or customized filter with low-pass, band-pass and high-pass frequency ranges. Filter cut-off and center frequencies correspond to the major Amateur bands, 160, 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters, with filter module insertion loss of only about 1dB. By reducing or excluding frequency-specific interfering noise and signals, the noise floor can be lowered for the desired passband for dramatically improved reception DX Engineering Receive Filter Plug-In Modules may be installed in these devices: DXE-DMC-2 Dual Module Chassis accepts one or two filter modules to create a stand-alone passive inline filter unit of any configuration. One high pass and one low pas can be combined to create a multi-band bandpass filter of any HF range. DXE-RPA-2-PM Modular Receive Preamplifier accepts one Receive Filter Plug-In Module to customize the preamplifier passband. DXE-NCC-2 Receive Phasing Controller can accept one or two Receive Filter Plug-In Modules, one into each, Channel A and Channel B. The DX Engineering NCC-2 is highly regarded by many owners and engineers to be the best receive phasing and noise canceling unit available and is used extensively by enthusiasts in Amateur Radio DXing, Contesting, AM DXing, and Short-Wave Listening (SWL), and is also used in commercial AM and HF broadcast applications. DX Engineering Receive Filter Plug-In Modules add an extra dimension of functionality to the NCC-2, for advanced directional noise and signal nulling performance, enhanced with a specific frequency range operations. By default, NCC-2 internal option slots have bypass boards to pass all signals. Receive Filters placed into these slots dedicate the unit to filtered operation. Typically, one pair of band-pass or high-pass or low-pass filters, depending on desired filtering, is installed in the NCC-2 to suit the specific signal rejection needs of the discerning operator. As an example, an 80 meter DX enthusiast may elect to install two 80 meter band pass Receive Filter Plug-In Modules, part number DXE-R-BP80-PM, into their NCC-2 Channel A and Channel B middle slots. This dedicates their NCC-2 to 80 meter-only operations. This dramatically reduces noise and signals from outside the 80 meter band, very effectively excluding interference from nearby AM Broadcast, 160 and 40 meter stations. A much lower noise floor across 80 meters can help achieve reception of weak 80 meter DX signals. An additional pair of filters can be swapped out for a different band when desired. Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. All Receive Filter Plug-In Modules displayed here are also conveniently listed on a single page linked in Documentation.
