Mastrant Antenna Support and Guy Line Ropes

Mastrant Antenna Support and Guy Line Ropes are available in several sizes and strength ratings, perfect for support of wire antennas, vertical antennas and antenna masts, as well as support of Yagi booms and elements. Mastrant ropes are of the highest quality for strength and are UV-protected for extended longevity. MASTRANT-O is a highly reflective rope (bright orange plus braided reflective tape) based on long-term proven Polyester (Dacron) product line. It is designed for maximum visibility in public places such as Field Day and POTA activities. Like all Mastrant ropes, it is UV stable and resistant to all weather conditions. It has low weight, great abrasion resistance, great durability and is nonconductive (no effect whatsoever on your antenna). Moreover, in contrast to ropes made from aramid fibers (Kevlar, Vectran, Technora, Twaron), it has knot strength about 60 %. Mastrant-P and Mastrant-R Ropes are stronger than other synthetic ropes of the same size, made from proven modern polyester. Mastrant-Q is a new rope made from a blend of polyester and polypropylene, designed specifically for guying applications. It offers an excellent performance-to-price ratio and has a knot strength of approximately 60%. It replaces Mastrant-P in diameters of 6 mm (1/4 in.) and larger. Mastrant-S is a similar polyester/polypropylene rope, distinguished by its highly reflective strands for increased visibility. Mastrant-M is their highest strength rope with the Dyneema® DM20 core, a superior synthetic rope offering high performance at an affordable price. Very high strength, negligible elongation, very low weight, and great abrasion resistance are all attributes that make Mastrant-M the best rope for guying. Larger, stronger sizes of Mastrant-M are used in Europe and other parts of the world for tower guying. Durability and safety are of prime concern to ensure that an antenna installation remains fully operational for a long time. Antennas and guy lines are exposed to changing weather conditions, mechanical strain, UV radiation, humidity, and more. These non-conductive synthetic fibers have all the necessary qualities: high strength, negligible stretch but good flexibility, long life, low moisture collection, fast drying, a minimum bending radius adding the ability to tie knots, good UV radiation resistance, weather durability and resistance to acids and alkali. Conversely, steel guying wires are heavy, difficult to work with, and their strength deteriorates with time due to corrosion and general aging. Electrical conductivity of steel guys is an undesirable feature, as they interact with the antennas and adversely modify radiation patterns. Thanks to recent developments in synthetic materials, both amateur and professional users are changing over to non-conductive guys and ropes. Mastrant offers these products for a variety of applications, from thin support lines used for wire antennas and beams, to rope guys for supporting small and portable masts and vertical antennas. When you need quality rope to install, replace, or modify your antenna systems, consider Mastrant Antenna Support and Guy Line Ropes, now available from DX Engineering.

Diex Antennas Multi-Band Trap Shortened Rigid Rotatable Dipoles

Diex Antennas Multi-Band Trap Shortened Rigid Rotatable Dipoles offer high performance multi-band HF operations, and they are an excellent choice where there's not enough space for a full-size dipole or Yagi. Crafted with precision in Brazil using quality materials, these aluminum tubing antennas are designed to withstand tough environments assuring long-lasting, exceptional performance. They are packed partially assembled, saving valuable time and effort. Typically mounted on a rotating mast, these unique multi-band HF antennas provide high-band directionality depending upon installed height above ground. Given the nature of shortened low-band antennas with limited SWR bandwidth, these antennas feature the flexibility of physical adjustment to set the lowest SWR to a specific frequency. DIEX Antennas Multi-Band Trap Shortened Rigid Rotatable Dipoles power handling is 1500W PEP SSB, which is further limited if using an antenna tuner. NOTE: Diex Antennas recommends that a directional HF antenna should be mounted on a tower at a minimum height of 33 to 50 ft. (10 - 15 meters) above ground level and must be installed in the clear, away from power lines, trees, buildings or other towers and antennas.

SSB Electronic Mast-Mount Preamplifiers

SSB Electronic Mast-Mount Preamplifiers are low-noise, band-specific, weatherproof preamplifiers designed for installation near VHF and UHF antennas. Available for the 6 meter, 4 meter (Europe), 2 meter and 70 cm Amateur bands, these preamplifiers are installed in-line, at the antenna. They improve receive performance by amplifying weak signals before feedline loss can reduce them. Powering and Sequencing Most models can be powered remotely through the coaxial cable, and many modern transceivers include a built-in bias-tee for mast-mounted preamplifiers. If the transceiver or transverter system does not provide power, an external bias-tee or remote-feed unit is required. • The DCW-15 and DCW 2004B provide sequencing support. • The DCC-12 does not provide sequencing. • SP series preamplifiers include a built-in RF VOX circuit for safe operations up to 100 watts; for transmit power above 100 watts, PTT control with a sequencer is required. Some models require a direct DC connection (UHF female). • -S series preamplifiers feature lower current signal relays with slightly higher insertion loss. • MHP and MHP-S series preamplifiers versions require sequencer control (see below). Signal Filtering and Switching Built-in helix filters effectively reject out-of-band signals, helping maintain clean receive performance. Real coaxial relays handle transmit/receive switching, resulting in very low insertion loss (except for SP-S series). And each amplifier is carefully calibrated at multiple test stations before packaging. Dual-Band Models Dual-band models include built-in diplexers, so they require only one connection for the multiband antenna and one connection for the station coaxial cable. MHP Series for Demanding Stations The MHP series is designed for demanding operating environments and provides higher gain for weak-signal modes such as Tropo-DX and EME. With maximum transmit power handling of 1500 watts on 6m and 2000 watts on 2m and 70cm, these preamplifiers are well suited for contesting, DX, and EME operation. Important Note for MHP Models Bias-tee power (on the RF coax) is not supported in most MHP Preamplifiers. They must be powered directly using the appropriate cable size for the required distance, and they may only be operated with a correctly wired sequencer, such as the DCW 2004 B Sequence Controller. Transmitting high power without a directly wired sequencer is likely to damage the MHP preamplifier. Housing and Hardware All SSB Electronic Mast-Mount Preamplifiers are supplied in UV-resistant, weatherproof housings with Type N female connectors. Hot-dip galvanized clamps and stainless steel mounting hardware are included. See individual models for band coverage and detailed specifications.

Create CLP-5130-1N VHF/UHF Log-Periodic Antennas

Create CLP-5130-1N VHF/UHF Log-Periodic Antennas are high-gain, wideband directional beam antennas. Designed for horizontal polarization, they may also be mounted vertically with user-supplied hardware. These antennas are capable of transmitting on all amateur bands from 6-meters through 23-centimeters at 500 watts power! Forward gain from 50 MHz to 1,300 MHz is 10 to 12 dBi, depending on the frequency. They present an SWR of less than 2.0:1 across their entire 1,250 MHz range of operation. They are also suitable for use in scanner listening, VHF/UHF television, FM broadcast, aviation, government communications, and business-band radio. To fully utilize the entire bandwidth of these antennas requires a high-quality feedline, like DXE-400MAX or LMR-600. These log-periodics use a specially shaped aluminum boom that allows for movement of the phasing line. Additionally, distortions in the vertical and horizontal planes have been minimized and adjustment of the element alignment is unnecessary. This results in a more uniform radiation pattern when compared to similar antennas. Create log-periodic antennas are very easy to assemble when compared to other log-periodic designs. Quality is seen everywhere… even the boom-to-mast bracket is made of rugged magnesium alloy. A Type N connector is employed for maximum signal transfer at high UHF frequencies. If you don't have the space or resources to put up several VHF and UHF antennas, Create CLP-5130-1N VHF/UHF Log Periodic Antennas from DX Engineering are truly your one-antenna solution to VHF/UHF operation!

They offer high levels of port-to-port isolation and reliability, the same as the famous DX Engineering RR8 series single input 8-port remote antenna switches. Manual dual-control operation of the DXE-RR2X8B is possible with two separate 1-of-8 control consoles that send +13.8VDC to the selected port, such as the DXE-EC-8. In this instance, the main transceiver has precedence over the secondary when attempting to use the same antenna port, so manual switching care must be exercised. An alternative first come, first served switching approach is available with the optional DXE-MX2X8 Interface Unit. It accepts BCD signals from two DXE-CC-8A Deluxe Control Consoles, and it locks out the selected port from the other radio, rather than main port precedence. DX Engineering RR2X8B Dual Input Switches may be interfaced with a customer-supplied logical switching unit. A third-party antenna controller with dual 1-of-8 switching may be used directly with the DXE-RR2X8B Switch or with BCD to the DXE-MX2X8 Interface Unit. If the DXE-MM2X8 Interface Unit is not used, the third party unit must provide protection against hot switching and prevent the main or secondary radio ports from attempting to select the same antenna port at any time. DX Engineering Dual Input Remote Antenna Switches feature a custom-made stainless steel chassis and a special RF shielded high impact thermoplastic cover. They have a custom conductive gasket to complete the seal between the cover and stainless steel housing base. Disassembly is not required for control wiring access. DX Engineering RR2X8B switches use removable screw terminals for the control cable plugs. These removable plugs greatly simplify installation by eliminating the need for soldering or opening the enclosure. The internal, covered relays are moisture-resistant, providing many years of exceptional performance. The circuitry of the DXE-RR2X8B switches allows the simultaneous selection of multiple antenna port with the required control signals. They can be used in complex antenna systems including stacked and phased arrays. Also, conventional one-of-eight antenna switching for two separate stations is possible using separate 1-of-8 switching arrangements. For example, the main radio Input "M" may select and be connected to any of the 8 ports while the secondary Radio Input "S" can simultaneously select any of the ports that the main isn't using. The main controller always has precedence over any selection made by the secondary controller, unless the DXE-MX2X8 is employed. Features of DX Engineering Dual Input Remote Antenna Switches include: * Rugged, attractive, fully shielded weatherproof housing * DX Engineering stainless steel V-clamp included for easy mounting to tower legs or masts from 1-2 in. diameter * Multi-conductor external cable plugs for easy removal, connection and maintenance * Excellent port-to-port Isolation; greater than 70 dB at 30 MHz, worst case; greater than 60 dB up to 60 MHz * High RF tolerant UHF connectors * Enclosed 16 ampere RF relays * Safe 12V DC relay operation * 16 MOVs for surge protection on control lines * 16 RF bypass capacitors Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. Make your SO2R or other multi-radio multi-antenna operations easy with a DX Engineering Dual Input Remote Antenna Switch.

DX Engineering PRO-STACK Broadband Antenna Phasing Switches

DX Engineering PRO-STACK Broadband Antenna Phasing Switches are newly designed to combine two identical Yagi or log periodic beams, or three quarter-wave vertical antennas, into a phased array for enhanced operation. There is no need for coaxial delay lines with the DX Engineering PRO-STACK switches. Just connect your antennas to the phasing switch controller with equal-length 50 ohm lines. PRO-STACK switch units are available with high-quality PTFE-silver plated SO-239 (UHF female) connectors. These relay units are 1-of-3 source voltage controlled at 12-15VDC over a four conductor cable. A matching Control Console is available separately or is included in the PRO-STACK System. These phasing switches can be used for any applications that require the following four basic antenna feed selections: both antenna ports in-phase, both antenna ports out-of-phase, antenna port 1 only, and antenna port 2 only. The default is both output ports in-phase. Impedance matching automatically changes when any antenna port is disconnected. Generally, stacked Yagi antennas are separated vertically greater than 1/2-wavelength free space. Since the DX Engineering PRO-STACK Broadband Antenna Phasing Systems are broadband, they may be easily adapted to larger arrays. For example, four stacked Yagis may be combined by creating two sets of two, and then using a third DX Engineering control console to combine the first two sets. PRO-STACK switches can also be used to feed three quarter wave resonant vertical antennas for a high-gain 4-pattern array. In this arrangement, the center #2 passive element is directly grounded to a good ground radial system at all times, while the end elements #1 and #3 are then fed in various phase relationships by the PRO-STACK. Details are in the complete PRO-STACK PS-2B Instruction Manual linked here in Documentation. Features of the DX Engineering PRO-STACK Broadband Antenna Phasing Switches include these great features: * Power handling up to 5 kW * Broadband coverage on 160-10 meters * High-impact RF shielded weatherproof housing * High-RF tolerant, silver-PTFE SO-239 (UHF female) connectors * Proven DX Engineering RF relays for high performance * Safe 12 VDC relay operation, even on battery or solar power * MOV surge protection on control lines * External, removable control line connector * RoHS-compliant assembly

The Radio Source TheMATCHBOX Broadband Matching Transformer

The Radio Source TheMATCHBOX Broadband Matching Transformer is a multi-tap transmission-line transformer designed to raise the inherently low feed-point impedance of electrically short end-fed antennas to a value suitable for direct connection to 50-ohm coaxial cable. Unlike conventional transformers that provide optimal performance primarily above 1 MHz, TheMATCHBOX delivers efficient operation down to 100 kHz using a manganese-zinc (MnZn) toroid core, minimizing loss while maintaining a low standing wave ratio. Because the feed-point impedance of electrically short end-fed antennas is influenced by antenna length, ground conductivity, and ground system quality, TheMATCHBOX is field-configurable with eight impedance transformation ratios. This flexibility allows it to match antennas with feed-point impedances ranging from 3 to 37 ohms to a standard 50-ohm coaxial feed line. Designed for permanent outdoor installation, TheMATCHBOX is housed in a rugged, weatherproof aluminum enclosure that mounts directly at the antenna feed point. Integrated top and bottom mounting flanges allow for secure attachment to a wide variety of support structures, providing a durable and reliable solution for LF and MF antenna systems

InnovAntennas LFA-Q 4 Element 50 MHz Loop Quad Beams

InnovAntennas LFA-Q 4 Element 50 MHz Loop Quad Beam from G0KSC represents significant development of LFA Yagis with a substantial difference. The LFA-Q (Loop Fed Array Quad) uses top and bottom booms and through-boom LFA Yagi-style loops arranged vertically for every element. This very rugged design achieves better gain for a given length of boom than standard or LFA Yagi. Also, instead of using symmetrical square or triangular loops, the shape of the loops has been compressed into rectangular form, so the short side sections are exactly 180 degrees out of phase resulting in a cancellation effect, like a balanced line. InnovAntenna LFA-Q achieves great rejection to the sides and the rear of the antenna while retaining excellent gain, f/b and SWR bandwidth across the band. These are amazingly compact, high gain antennas constructed to withstand serious weather conditions! The 50MHz 4 Element LFA-Q is made with tapered elements one-half inch (12.7mm) center sections and 3/8 inch (9.525mm) outer sections. The antenna has fully insulated elements which will ensure continuous, high performance for years to come. The LFA-Q has a twin-boom system, 32mm square with 1.6mm wall thickness. Two boom-to-mast brackets are provided, one on each boom, formed from marine grade stainless steel. Both brackets include 2 square U-bolts for the boom and 2 round U-bolts for the supporting mast. InnovAntennas LFA-Q 4 Element 50 MHz Loop Quad Beam Specs: Gain: 11.26dBi @ 50.150MHz F/B: 29.9dB @ 50.150MHz Peak Gain: 11.3dBi Peak F/B: 30.3dB Power Rating: 5kw+ SWR: Below 1.3:1 from 50.00MHz to 50.400MHz Stacking Distance: 5-8m (7m recommended) 2 Stacked Gain @ 7m spacing: 14.35dBi (free space) 2 Stacked F/B: 27.41dB 2 Stacked Gain @ 5.1m Spacing 15m above ground: 19.25dBi Boom Length: 4m. AALogic DTC-100 Version 6 Rotator Controllers

AALogic DTC-100 Version 6 Rotator Controllers are compatible with digital pulsed feedback rotators such as the Orion 2800, the Alfa SPID, The HyGain DCU-3 compatible rotators, and the DX Engineering RT4500HD. Not only will the DTC-100-V6 work with rotators that have digital pulsed feedback, it will also work with rotators that utilize resistive sensors to determine the orientation of the rotator, Rotators that utilize resistive sensors include Yaesu's G450/G800/G1000/G2800 Series rotators as well as all HyGain Rotators. The DTC-100-V6 also allows the user to set soft rotational limits for both Yaesu and HyGain rotators that incorporate mechanical limits to help keep the rotator from travelling to the mechanical stop. A full color 5-inch touch screen display fills the front panel of the DTC-100-V6. The DTC-100-V6 supports extensive calibration options when it comes to rotators that don't have 'hard limit' switches and even those that do, the user can set soft limits for stopping the rotator before the hard limit switches are set. Once the rotator type has been selected in the calibration screen, the user can set rotation limits for both clockwise and counterclockwise rotation. The configuration of the DTC-100-V6 allows the user to adjust the backlight, the start and stop brake function (needed on HyGain rotators), coast settings, and ramp up and down speeds. These settings allow for control of the rotator as it gets close to the end of its safe rotation, allowing for the rotator to coast to a stop and not jerk to a halt where you want the antenna pointing. Six memories allow the user to set frequently accessed headings to expedite a starting point of the turning the antenna. Memories can also be programmed on an ad hoc basis and not saved to work DX or for some operating event that is outside of the users' normal scope of operation. This allows for flexibility in how the controller is used. The Main operating screen of the DTC-100-V6 provides a graphical representation of where the antenna is facing, saved memories, quick access to the system configuration screen, and controls to manually turn the antenna clockwise and counterclockwise as well as stopping the rotation. The display also shows if the rotator has spun into the overlap zone, and if there is remote control of the DTC-100. The rear panel of the DTC-100-V6 includes an 8-pin terminal block, a 3.5mm TRS jack for an optional RS232TTL adapter, standard IEC-320 connector block, with fuse and power switch. A 6 foot long, 110VAC power cord is included. Also included is the mating connector for the terminal block. If you already have the line to your rotator terminated for the controller that came with your rotator, there are optional cables available for both Yaesu and HyGain rotators that allow the use of cables that are already terminated with the connectors for the vendor supplied rotator controllers and you don't wish to remove the termination to use the DTC-100-V6. Additional Feature and Specifications: • Computer interface for logging programs • Computerized motor control • Auto brake release/engage • Speed ramp up/down for smooth start/stop • Variable coast control • Pinpoint accuracy • Automated calibration for simple installation • Supports pulsed feedback sensors • User ability to set soft limits
