InnovAntennas DXR Series Multi-Band HF Beams

InnovAntennas DXR Series Multi-Band HF Beams have short booms with full-size elements or capacity-loaded shortened elements, all with excellent performance, making them very popular internationally. The DXR Series interlaced-element antennas, optimized by G0KSC over a long period of time, achieve the best possible balance between compact size and performance. For the DXR Series Multi-band Yagis, equal attention was paid to a very solid construction and sufficiently small component and packaging size, to keep shipping costs within reasonable limits. Click on any model listed for specific details and specifications. InnovAntennas DXR Series Multi-Band HF Beams are available exclusively from DX Engineering in North America. Important features of InnovAntennas DXR Series Multi-Band HF Beams: * No traps, matching links, or hairpins * Only one feed line for all bands * Careful selection of materials without regard to cost * Very robust construction with still manageable package size The DXR Series beams use a 1.97 x 1.97 in. (50 x 50 mm) square boom with 0.078 in. (2 mm) wall thickness. A square boom has the advantage that the elements cannot twist in the plane. On the other hand, it is slightly heavier than a round boom of the same stiffness. The DXR Yagis do not require any bracing of the boom. The longest elements are 1.378 in. (35 mm) diameter in the middle and taper relatively quickly to achieve a good compromise between weight and strength. This construction also helps to avoid constant vibration even in light winds. With these multi-band Yagis, care has been taken to ensure that there are never more than the elements of three bands nested within each other. This is because each additional element for one band can cause interference on another band. This negative effect was avoided by careful manual optimization. The result is the best possible matching over a wider band range than other antenna designs. In most cases, no tuner is necessary; the SWR minimum can be precisely set by adjusting the element lengths. Due to the robust construction and the absence of moving or electrically active components such as coils, traps, hairpins, etc., an InnovAntennas DXR beam is maintenance-free for many years. The insulators are UV-resistant and designed for a wide temperature range. The mounting hardware uses sea-water resistant stainless steel and the aluminum is type T6 6066/6082, which is also used in aviation. It is nice not to have to climb the mast every year to maintain the antenna. The DXR Series Multiband beams are designed to require only one feed line. This makes installation on a mast with a rotor very easy. And the use of modern SDR transceivers, which allow the observation of several bands at the same time, becomes really useful. The one feed line is connected directly to the solid distribution rails of the fed elements. By avoiding baluns, matching elements, traps, or hairpins for tuning, transmit power is only limited by the coaxial cable and connectors. Note: Front-to-back ratio (F/B) and SWR bandwidth data for the DXR Series will be added as it becomes available. Many models of the DXR Series are available as a "super-compact" version, on which the longest elements have been shortened with capacity hats, thus reducing their turning radius considerably. The installation of these impressive antennas is possible even where space is limited.

DX Engineering PRO-STACK Broadband Antenna Phasing Switches

DX Engineering PRO-STACK Broadband Antenna Phasing Switches are newly designed to combine two identical Yagi or log periodic beams, or three quarter-wave vertical antennas, into a phased array for enhanced operation. There is no need for coaxial delay lines with the DX Engineering PRO-STACK switches. Just connect your antennas to the phasing switch controller with equal-length 50 ohm lines. PRO-STACK switch units are available with high-quality PTFE-silver plated SO-239 (UHF female) connectors. These relay units are 1-of-3 source voltage controlled at 12-15VDC over a four conductor cable. A matching Control Console is available separately or is included in the PRO-STACK System. These phasing switches can be used for any applications that require the following four basic antenna feed selections: both antenna ports in-phase, both antenna ports out-of-phase, antenna port 1 only, and antenna port 2 only. The default is both output ports in-phase. Impedance matching automatically changes when any antenna port is disconnected. Generally, stacked Yagi antennas are separated vertically greater than 1/2-wavelength free space. Since the DX Engineering PRO-STACK Broadband Antenna Phasing Systems are broadband, they may be easily adapted to larger arrays. For example, four stacked Yagis may be combined by creating two sets of two, and then using a third DX Engineering control console to combine the first two sets. PRO-STACK switches can also be used to feed three quarter wave resonant vertical antennas for a high-gain 4-pattern array. In this arrangement, the center #2 passive element is directly grounded to a good ground radial system at all times, while the end elements #1 and #3 are then fed in various phase relationships by the PRO-STACK. Details are in the complete PRO-STACK PS-2B Instruction Manual linked here in Documentation. Features of the DX Engineering PRO-STACK Broadband Antenna Phasing Switches include these great features: * Power handling up to 5 kW * Broadband coverage on 160-10 meters * High-impact RF shielded weatherproof housing * High-RF tolerant, silver-PTFE SO-239 (UHF female) connectors * Proven DX Engineering RF relays for high performance * Safe 12 VDC relay operation, even on battery or solar power * MOV surge protection on control lines * External, removable control line connector * RoHS-compliant assembly

InnovAntennas 10 Element HF Band Optimized Log Periodic Antenna

InnovAntennas 10 Element HF Band Optimized Log Periodic Antenna is a super wideband, high performance beam that covers the frequency range of 14 to 30 MHz. The advantage of this antenna type is the extreme broadband performance with an even gain curve without dips. This makes this antenna suitable not only for amateur radio, but also for commercial services and for demanding SWLs. Through careful calculations and practical optimization, the spacing and lengths of the elements have been chosen to favor the amateur radio bands 20/17/15/12 and 10 meters, creating the Band Optimized Log Periodic Antenna, hence the name "BOLPA". Hundreds of hours optimizing both SWR and performance within the Amateur bands resulted in exceptional mono-band style performance for InnovAntennas BOLPA-10. This antenna provides a uniform gain of approximately 7 dBi over the entire frequency range and a front-to-back ratio over 20 dB on all but 12 meters with an SWR of mostly better than 1.5:1. The boom length of 25.3 ft. (7.7m) is relatively short for an antenna of this type. Since only one 50 ohm feed line is necessary, this broadband antenna is especially well suited for use with modern SDR transceivers that are able to receive on several HF bands simultaneously. This LPDA's double boom is made of 1.75 in. (44 mm) square aluminum, each supporting the alternately arranged elements and provides the support for the bracing in the middle. Both boom tubes serve as feed lines for high power operations on any band with no tuning adjustments necessary. A common mode choke or balun may be used. High quality aircraft grade aluminum, as well as stainless steel parts, means the BOLPA-10 is also designed for adverse weather and high wind speeds of up to 99 mph (160 kph). Some of InnovAntennas HF Log Periodic Dipole Array mechanical design benefits include: * Marine grade stainless steel hardware (wherever possible) * Integrated feed line/boom for maximum efficiency, minimum wind-load * Mill finished for highest levels of accuracy and performance * First-of-kind "Band Optimized" LPDAs by G0KSC InnovAntennas BOLPA-10 technical performance data: * Gain: 6.9 to 7.5 dBi (4.75 to 5.4 dBd) * Gain at 33 ft. (10m) above ground at 14.150 MHz: 11.56 dBi (including ground gain) * Typical F/B: Over 20 dB * Power rating: 5,000 watts (further limited by feedline and connectors) * Feed impedance: 50 ohm, stud connections * Boom length: 25.3 ft. DX Engineering PS-3B PRO-STACK Three Antenna Phasing Units

DX Engineering PS-3B PRO-STACK Three Antenna Phasing Units offer the ultimate performance for combining three identical Yagi or Log Periodic directional antennas and may be used for vertical antennas in a phased array that cover any band, from 160 through 10 meters. Pro-Stack frequency independent broadband phasing devices operate optimally with three properly spaced mono-band antennas, but can be used with three identical stacked multi-band beam antennas, for pattern and null steering that wins contests and snags the rarest DX! Signals arrive at your antenna system from different azimuth directions and different elevation angles. Adding a stacking phasing system to a rotational array adds the ability to steer the pattern of the antenna array in two planes, azimuth and elevation, and to move the major lobe and nulls. The greatest advantage of Pro-Stack arrays is the ability to move harmful pattern nulls away from signal arrival angles. While gain makes a marginal improvement, moving a 20 to 40 dB null can be a phenomenal change, so the Pro-Stack can make the difference between a barely readable and a strong signal, providing the performance edge needed to work rare DX - and win contests. DXE-PS-3B Pro-Stack Phasing Units are 50 ohm relay systems that handle up to 5 kW. A separate user-supplied automated controller or the optional DX Engineering DXE-EC-PS3 Control Console for these 12-position rotary switch selections: - Three antenna ports in phase, default with no power to control console. - Antenna port 1 only - Antenna port 2 only - Antenna port 3 only - Port 2 out of phase, Port 3 in phase - Port 1 out of phase, Port 3 in phase - Port 1 out of phase, Port 2 in phase - Ports 2 and 3 in phase - Ports 1 and 3 in phase - Ports 1 and 2 in phase - Ports 1 and 2 in phase, Port 3 out of phase - Ports 1 and 3 in phase, Port 2 out of phase - Port 1 out of phase, Ports 2 and 3 in phase These PRO-STACK units may also be used for other applications requiring these feedline selections. To ensure lowest SWR, impedance matching automatically changes when any antenna is disabled. By switching between antennas at different heights above ground and/or changing the phase relationship between multiple antennas. The old standard system in stacks was to activate or disable specific antennas in the stack to change pattern. However, with the Pro-Stack system, gain remains higher when all antennas are driven and phase is changed, plus this system allows phase inversion as well as the ability to switch any single antenna out of the array. DXE-PS-3B Broadband Phasing Units provide the greatest flexibility for three identical antennas. This relay unit contains a broad-bandwidth high-power 2:1 impedance matching transformer. This eliminates common requirements of using mixtures of 75 ohm and 50 ohm phasing or delay cables for impedance matching. Feedlines to each antenna from the relay unit must be the same cable of the same length and match the antenna impedance. DXE-PS-3B Pro-Stack Broadband Three Antenna Phasing Units feature: - Power Handling up to 5 kW - Broad band coverage on 160-10 meters - RF Shielded Weatherproof Housing - unique protection - DXE-PS-3B has High-RF tolerant, silver - PTFE UHF connectors - DXE-PS-3BDIN has Amphenol Connex 7/16 DIN Panel Connectors - DXE-PS-3BN-P are made with high-quality silver-PTFE Type N female connectors - Proven high current DX Engineering RF Relays - Safe 12 volt dc relay operation - MOV surge protection on control lines - RoHS compliant assembly Get a DX Engineering PS-3B PRO-STACK Three Antenna Phasing System for your winning antenna array.

Select from twelve combinations of in-phase and out-of-phase for pattern and null steering that wins contests and snags the rarest DX! DXE-PS-3B-P PRO-STACK Three Antenna Phasing Systems consist of one DXE-PS-3B Relay Unit and one DXE-EC-PS3 Control Console with manual 12-position rotary switch. This advanced system requires only 9-conductor control cable and standard 50-ohm feedlines of equal lengths to each antenna. DXE-PS-3B Pro-Stack Broadband Three Antenna Phasing Systems offer these compelling features: - Power Handling up to 5 kW - Broad band coverage on 160-10 meters - RF Shielded Weatherproof Housing - unique protection - DXE-PS-3B has High-RF tolerant, silver - PTFE SO-239 (UHF female) connectors - DXE-PS-3BN-P are high-quality silver-PTFE Type N female connectors - DXE-PS-3BDIN has Amphenol Connex 7-16 DIN Panel Connectors - Proven high current DX Engineering RF Relays - Safe 12 volt DC relay operation - MOV surge protection on control lines - RoHS compliant assembly DXE-PS-3B Broadband Phasing Units provide the greatest flexibility for three identical antennas. So all of them need only be as long as the longest, to reach from the antennas to the relay unit. While it is best to have feedlines of equal electrical lengths, there is no need to closely phase-match cables; cutting the antenna feedlines made from the same coax to equal physical lengths is sufficient. Signals arrive at your antenna system from different azimuth directions and different elevation angles. Adding a stacking phasing system to a rotational array adds the ability to steer the pattern of the antenna array in two planes, azimuth and elevation, and to move the major lobe and nulls. This is accomplished by switching between three identical antennas that are properly spaced for phasing, as well as changing the phase relationship between the antennas to effect changes in the null positons of their elevation patterns. The greatest advantage of equipping your array with a DX Engineering Pro-Stack is the ability to move debilitating pattern nulls away from signal arrival angles. While gain makes a marginal improvement, moving a 20 to 40 dB null can make a phenomenal change in reception. So, the Pro-Stack can make the difference between a barely readable and a strong signal, thus providing the performance edge needed to work rare DX - and win contests. DX Engineering PRO-STACK Broadband Antenna Phasing Systems

DX Engineering PRO-STACK Broadband Antenna Phasing Systems are designed to combine two identical Yagi or log periodic beams, or three quarter-wave vertical antennas, into a phased array for enhanced directional pattern selections and dramatically improved HF operations. There is no need for special coaxial delay lines with the DX Engineering PRO-STACK systems. Just connect your antennas to the system relay unit with equal-length 50-ohm coaxial cable assemblies. The PRO-STACK switch relay units are available with high-quality PTFE-silver plated SO-239, UHF female connectors. The matching PRO-STACK Control Console operates the system with a 1-of-3 source voltage control format at 12-15V DC with a user supplied four conductor control cable to achieve four different antenna phasing selections. PRO-STACK Broadband Antenna Phasing Systems operate across the 160 to 10 meter range. They have two antenna ports that can be used for any application requiring the four basic selections: 1. BIP - Both antenna ports In-Phase 2. BOP - Both antenna ports Out-of-Phase 3. BOTTOM - Antenna port 1 only 4. TOP - Antenna port 2 only. The unpowered default is 1 - Both ports In-Phase. Impedance matching is automatic in the PRO-STACK even when any antenna port is disconnected. Generally, stacked Yagi antennas are separated vertically with greater than one half wavelength free space. Since the DX Engineering PRO-STACK Antenna Phasing Systems are broadband, they may be easily adapted to larger arrays. For example, four stacked Yagis may be combined by creating two sets of PRO-STACKS, with a third DX Engineering PRO-STACK to combine the first two. PRO-STACK systems may also be used to feed quarter-wave resonant vertical antennas for a high-gain, 4-pattern array. This arrangement requires three verticals, with the center #2 passive antenna element directly grounded to the system ground radial system at all times, while elements #1 and #3 are then fed in various phase relationships by the PRO-STACK. Details are in the complete PRO-STACK PS-2B Instruction Manual linked here in "Documentation" tab. The full- color printed manual is included with the system relay unit. PRO-STACK Broadband Antenna Phasing Systems are available as separate Relay Units for operators who have automated BCD switching devices, and as packaged systems with Relay Unit and matching manual Control Console. Features of the DX Engineering PRO-STACK Broadband Antenna Phasing Systems include: * Power handling up to 5 kW * Broadband coverage on 160-10 meters * High impact shielded weatherproof housing * High-RF tolerant, silver-PTFE SO-239 (UHF female) connectors * Proven DX Engineering RF relays for high performance * Safe 12V relay operation * DC-powered control console allows battery or solar emergency operation * MOV surge protection on control lines * External, removable control line connector * RoHS-compliant assembly Dominate the airwaves with DX Engineering PRO-STACK Broadband Antenna Phasing Systems. * Important Note regarding DX Engineering Protection Plans and Kit Combo Contents NOTE: Protection plans cannot be purchased for combination packages or on applicable devices after shipment.
