Yaesu ATAS-120A Auto Active Tuning Antennas
Yaesu's patented ATAS™ Active Tuning Antenna System has been enhanced with the latest model: ATAS-120A. This is a unique mobile antenna that provides HF, VHF and UHF coverage with automatic motorized tuning. Designed for use exclusively with Yaesu transceivers that support ATAS, microprocessor controlled voltages are sent on the coaxial cable to adjust the antenna radiator length for best SWR. Yaesu ATAS-120A active tuning antennas cover the 7, 14, 21, 28, 50, 144 and 430 MHz Amateur bands and are compatible with the Yaesu FT891, FTDX-10, FT-710, FT-991A, FT-991, FT-857D, FT-897D, FT-100, FT-100D and the FT-450D. Comet Antennas No-Hole Fender Brackets
Comet No-Hole Fender Brackets are vehicle-specific truck and SUV mobile antenna brackets that mount without drilling. Unlike lip-mounts that use set screws and penetrate the paint; these brackets use bolts that already exist on your fender. Due to the particular vehicle-specific angles necessary to form these brackets, almost all are designed for the driver's side only. (There are only a few new right fender mounts!) By using an existing fender bolt, the bracket extends between the hood and fender gap. The mounted antenna sits vertically, along the side of the hood. A 3/4 in. hole in the bracket accepts the standard NMO connector and cable assembly. You may also use these brackets to attach an antenna that has a UHF mount. These Comet mount and coax assemblies install in only minutes to your trunk lid, truck rear doors, SUV and van rear doors, hood lip, and more--without damage! CP-5M mobile lip mounts adjust in four planes and feature 24k gold-plated SO-239 and PL-259 connectors, which disassemble for easier routing. A note about the Comet coax: "The mini coax is neither RG-188 nor RG-174… it is actually 1.5D-QEFV Japanese coax. Comet states it is 'RG-174 type' coax because they have similar loss and diameter specifications. Initially RG-188 was used in comparison but was changed to the RG-174 comparison because they are more similar. The balance of the coax is Japanese 3.5D-QEFV. There is no 'RG' equivalent to 3.5D-QEFV. RG-58 connectors will not fit the 3.5D-QEFV coax, the Comet coax has a larger outside diameter and a larger central core and has about 30 percent less loss than RG-58. All of the coax cables produced by Comet use the Comet (Japanese) low loss coax.
