DX Engineering RPA-2 Modular Receive Preamplifiers are newly designed versions of the RPA-1 with internal slots for accessory modules. They accommodate the addition of the one optional plug-in module, such as the 75 to 50 ohm Impedance Transformer Module, or the Receiver Guard 5000HD Plug-In Module, or the DX Engineering Clifton Laboratories Z10020 AM Band Filter Module. DX Engineering Clifton Laboratories Z10000 Buffer Amplifiers may be the products most often requested by radio experimenters and electronics enthusiasts. These are the very popular circuits, designed by Jack Smith, K8ZOA (SK), that are crucial for adding a SDR receiver and panadapter display capabilities to a receiver or transceiver which lacks that feature. The Z10000 Buffer Amplifier's high-input impedance can safely tap the early-stage broadband Intermediate Frequency (IF) signal from inside your radio and feed the buffered and amplified low impedance IF signal to your external SDR receiver. It can then produce a spectrumscope - waterfall display pattern of the receiver signals on a compatible tablet or monitor and PC that is running the appropriate third party SDR software. SSB Electronic Mast-Mount Preamplifiers

SSB Electronic Mast-Mount Preamplifiers are low-noise, band-specific, weatherproof preamplifiers designed for installation near VHF and UHF antennas. Available for the 6 meter, 4 meter (Europe), 2 meter and 70 cm Amateur bands, these preamplifiers are installed in-line, at the antenna. They improve receive performance by amplifying weak signals before feedline loss can reduce them. Powering and Sequencing Most models can be powered remotely through the coaxial cable, and many modern transceivers include a built-in bias-tee for mast-mounted preamplifiers. If the transceiver or transverter system does not provide power, an external bias-tee or remote-feed unit is required. • The DCW-15 and DCW 2004B provide sequencing support. • The DCC-12 does not provide sequencing. • SP series preamplifiers include a built-in RF VOX circuit for safe operations up to 100 watts; for transmit power above 100 watts, PTT control with a sequencer is required, some required direct DC connection (UHF female). • -S series preamplifiers feature lower current signal relays with slightly higher insertion loss. • MHP and MHP-S series preamplifiers versions require sequencer control (see below). Signal Filtering and Switching Built-in helix filters effectively reject out-of-band signals, helping maintain clean receive performance. Real coaxial relays handle transmit/receive switching, resulting in very low insertion loss (except for SP-S series). And each amplifier is carefully calibrated at multiple test stations before packaging. Dual-Band Models Dual-band models include built-in diplexers, so they require only one connection for the multiband antenna and one connection for the station coaxial cable. MHP Series for Demanding Stations The MHP series is designed for demanding operating environments and provides higher gain for weak-signal modes such as Tropo-DX and EME. With maximum transmit power handling of 1500 watts on 6m and 2000 watts on 2m and 70cm, these preamplifiers are well suited for contesting, DX, and EME operation. Important Note for MHP Models Bias-tee power is not supported, as MHP Preamplifiers must be powered directly using the appropriate cable size for the required distance, and they may only be operated with a correctly wired sequencer, such as the DCW 2004 B Sequence Controller. Transmitting high power without a directly wired sequencer is likely to damage the MHP preamplifier. Housing and Hardware All SSB Electronic Mast-Mount Preamplifiers are supplied in UV-resistant, weatherproof housings with Type N female connectors. SSB Electronic LNA-30 Broadband 5 kHz – 30 MHz Low Noise Mast-Mount Preamplifiers

SSB Electronic LNA-30 Broadband 5 kHz – 30 MHz Low Noise Mast-Mount Preamplifiers cover the VLF, LF, and MF range, including the 2200 through 10 meter Amateur bands. Only for receiving applications, the LNA-30 is used to transform a simple wire or small whip antenna into a powerful broadband receiving antenna. This allows, for example, an SDR receiver to be operated in an unfavorable location with limited space and still deliver very good results. A skimmer or The LNA-30 amplifies the signals received by about 20 dB. The operating power can be varied for effect from 12 and 24V, with higher gain achieved at 24V, but the lowest figure at 12V. A very RF quiet, well filtered linear power supply should be used, not a switching power supply, which connects to this mast-mounted preamplifier via a separate coaxial cable; a UHF female handles the power input. The LNA-30 handles the RF separately with Type-N female connectors for antenna and receiver. When power is removed the preamplifier turns of and no signal from the antenna passes, making this an "always on" broadband preamplifier. The LNA-30 may be mounted on masts up to 2.25 in. (58mm), is weatherproof, and should be placed outside, close to the receive antenna. This preamplifier cannot pass RF power and is not suitable for transmitting operations.

SSB Electronic LNA Series Low-Noise Preamplifiers are newly developed low-noise receiving amplifiers for the 6m, 2m and 70cm bands, featuring super low noise with high gain, making them ideal for use in EME (moon bounce), MS (meteor scatter), Aurora and tropo-DX operations. High performance is reflected in exceptional IP3 test figures (35dBm, typical), to provide strong signal immunity. Very good rejection of strong signals near and far guarantees interference-free operation, even in the vicinity of other radio transmissions from commercial and broadcast stations as well as mobile carriers. The input circuit of the amplifier is built with high quality components in a chamber construction, optimized for the best noise characteristics. The bandpass at the output of the amplifier ensures very good in-band selection with signals outside the pass band effectively suppressed. The LNA Series Preamplifiers do not have RX/TX relays and are intended for receiving applications. LNA Series Preamplifiers are built in a sturdy tinplate housing, suitable exclusively for indoor applications (Ip41 to DIN EN 60529). Choose between models that have two Type-N female connectors, Type-N Male and Female, and SMA female. These amplifiers can be powered via an external cable or via a coaxial bias tee (remote power supply). The -MA weatherproof variant of the receive-only LNA series is characterized by a robust, IP44-protected housing, allowing the high-quality preamplifier to be mast-mounted close to the antenna using Type-N connectors only. Power is supplied exclusively over the coax. If your receiver does not output 12-15 VDC receive preamplifier power onto the antenna feedline, use the SSB Electronic DCC-5000PRO Bias Tee (remote power inserter).
