Hi-Z® Antennas PC-8PRO 8 Circle Array Phasing Controller
The Hi-Z Antennas PC-8PRO 8 Circle Array Phasing Controller is the primary component in the Hi-Z Antennas Eight Element V2 Multi-Band 8 Circle Receive Array System, intended for 160-, 80- and 40-meter band coverage, with useful functionality from 500 kHz to 15 MHz. The HIZ-PC-8PRO Phasing Controller and system components combine to provide an effective directional receive pattern that is electronically switchable to eight different directions. The Hi-Z Antennas Eight Element V2 Multi-Band 8 Circle Receive Array System provides enhanced signal-to-noise performance with Receive Directivity Factor (RDF) approaching 12dB and up to 35dB array front-to-back! The HIZ-PC-8PRO is the heart of this antenna which provides dramatically improved reception over transmitting antennas. It properly combines signals from eight receive short element active verticals which are each ground-mounted on a ground rod, in a circle. DXE-RSEAV-1 are sold separately, which use DXE-AVA-3 Element Amplifiers. Sharper cardioid patterns with deeper reverse nulls are developed by the 8 Circle than other arrays. This Phasing Controller and other system components provide an effective receive pattern that can be electronically rotated to eight different directions: typically, 45, 90, 135, 180, 225, 270, 315 and 360 degrees. Standard 85 ft. diameter 8 Circle Arrays provide 160-, 80- and 40-meter band coverage with an exceptional cardioid pattern, supported with the updated delay cables HIZ-DL4-60-85 (Long and Short, sold separately). Alternatively, choose HIZ-DL4-80-113 cables (Long and Short, sold separately) for a 113 ft. diameter 8 circle which increases performance on the 160 and 80 meter bands. The HIZ-MDC-8PRO is the required Manual Directional Control Switch Console, sold separately. The HIZ-PC-8PRO also serves as a replacement part for Hi-Z 8 Circle system owners to order Hi-Z PC-8PRO V2 Phasing Controller. See the listing for more information.

Hi-Z® Antennas DL-4 V2 Long and Short Delay Cables
Hi-Z® Antennas DL-4 V2 Long and Short Delay Cables are essential components for the Hi-Z 4 Element V2 4 Square and Hi-Z 8 Element V2 Multi-Band 8 Circle Receive Array Systems. These are the high quality RG-6U coaxial cables that are precision tuned by DX Engineering and terminated with compression-style weather resistant male F connectors. These Hi-Z DL4 V2 Delay Cables must be selected and purchased separately, depending upon the desired array band coverage and corresponding size of the array, detailed below. Each are permanently connected to the 4 Square or 8 Circle Phase Controller "Long Delay" and "Short Delay" female F connectors upon array installation. SMALL ARRAY dimensions for maximized multi-band reception require the selection of one HIZ-DL-4-60-85L (Long) and one HIZ-DL-4-60-85S (Short), as recommended by Hi-Z for: * 4 Square Array with element side spacing of 60 ft. * 8 Circle Array with a diameter of 85 ft. Overall excellent cardioid patterns are achieved for enhanced, low noise reception on all three low band bands--160, 80, and 40 meters with very good receiving results on 30 meters as well. LARGE ARRAYS that are dedicated for ONLY 160 and 80 meters, one HIZ-DL-4-80-113L and one HIZ-DL-4-80-113S are for: * 4 Square Array with element side spacing of 80 ft. * 8 Circle Array with a diameter of 113 ft. Large array spacing and longer delay cable allows the user to manipulate the achieved patterns and the resulting Receive Directivity Factor (RDF) for their desired band coverage optimization. This also requires the change of four jumpers inside the respective phase controller. See the array phase controller instructions for details on jumper settings for alternative delay lines, patterns and performance.

Hi-Z® Antennas DL-3A Delay Cables
Hi-Z® Antennas DL-3A Delay Cables are an essential component of the Hi-Z Three Element V2 Triangular Array, required for installation of the a HIZ-PC-3A Phasing Combiner. Order one HIZ-DL-3AL Long Delay Cable for 40 ft. element spacing of the Hi-Z Three Element V2 Triangular Array. For arrays larger than 40 ft. element spacing, add one HIZ-DL-3AS Delay Cable Set, which includes three 3 ft. extension cables to provide adjustment capability for array size. Use all three for an array with 50 ft. element spacing. The 23 ft. DL-3AL is combined in-line with a single or multiple 3 ft. extensions from the DL-3AS. They connect in series to the PC-3A V2 Phasing Controller Delay Line ports. Signal delay with added cable segments allows the user to accommodate different size arrays, 40 through 50 ft. element spacing, or to manipulate the patterns to achieve changes in Receive Directivity Factor (RDF). See the Hi-Z Three Element V2 Triangular Array Phasing Combiner listing for additional information.

Hi-Z Antennas Array Phase Combiner Units
Hi-Z Antennas Array Phase Combiners are the component at the center of a Hi-Z array, and are also known as "relay units" or "phase controllers." The sophisticated RF phasing and switching electronic devices have connections for the receive short element active vertical feedlines, delay lines, and the main feedline that goes to the station. Control cable connections are to power and steer the array pattern, with the station end connecting to the directional control console. Hi-Z Antennas Phase Controllers are now available to be purchased separately to assemble a high-performance receiving array.
