DX Engineering Transmit Receive Interrupter Plug-In Module

DX Engineering Transmit Receive Interrupter Plug-In Module, DXE-TRI-PM, provides essential protection from the station's transmitted energy picked up by a receive antenna that is connected to the DXE-NCC-2 Channel B Receive Antenna Input active front end. This optional custom PCB relay switch device is typically installed in the top Option Slot of the Channel B rear panel board in the NCC-2. When the transceiver keys the RADIO PTT port of the NCC-2, the DXE-TRI-PM can open or ground the receive antenna input and the board output, as selected by jumpers. It functions independently and does not affect or depend on the settings of the NCC-2 Bias-Tee Enable circuit that places DC on the receive antenna feedline for Active antennas. The DXE-TRI-PM is only in the path of the receive antenna input. It also features a Gas Discharge Tube to protect the front end of the NCC-2 while in the receive mode. Adding a second DXE-TRI-PM Transmit Receive Interrupter Plug-In Module to the the top slot of the NCC-2 Channel A rear panel board is recommended. The gas tube provides pulse energy protection during receive and disconnect or grounding protection when the CH A RX ANT IN port is used for a receive antenna that is physically too close to the transmit antenna. Adding a DXE-TRI-PM can provide input protection for the RTR-2 RX ANT IN during receive and by grounding the receive antenna input during transmissions. Alternatively, the DXE-TRI-PM installed in the DXE-DMC-2 Dual Module Chassis can interrupt or ground any receive antenna feedline or a receiver input. Jumper settings select opening or grounding of the receive antenna input and receiver output. This receive feedline RF switch is operated by toggling 13.8 VDC, on for Receive and off when Transmitting. The DMC-2 PCB jumper HD5 selects operating DC from either the 2.1mm power connector or the "Receiver Output" coaxial cable with a user supplied DC Bias-Tee device, such as the DXE-FVI-1 Feedline Voltage Injector. Remote outdoor installation requires a weather resistant cover.

DX Engineering Receive Short Element Mounting Plates DXE-RSE-IMB is a package of two of the "insulated mounting board" replacement part for DXE-RSEAV-1 series receive verticals and for separately purchased DXE-AVA-3 Active Matching Unit or a legacy AVA-2. This item also serves as a replacement for a damaged or lost plate for legacy model ARAV4 Active antennas. The DXE-RSE-IMB are pre-drilled poly-resin insulated plastic mounting plates, with dimensions of: WHD: 4.500 x 8.625 x 0.250 in. (114 x 219 x 6.35mm). NOTE: DXE-RSE-IMB has no hardware included. DX Engineering Receive Filter Plug-In Modules provide frequency-specific receiving system enhancements, which fit into special DX Engineering devices listed below. These advanced plug-in filter modules are available separately to allow any user to create a specific or customized filter with low-pass, band-pass and high-pass frequency ranges. Filter cut-off and center frequencies correspond to the major Amateur bands, 160, 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters, with filter module insertion loss of only about 1dB. By reducing or excluding frequency-specific interfering noise and signals, the noise floor can be lowered for the desired passband for dramatically improved reception DX Engineering Receive Filter Plug-In Modules may be installed in these devices: DXE-DMC-2 Dual Module Chassis accepts one or two filter modules to create a stand-alone passive inline filter unit of any configuration. One high pass and one low pas can be combined to create a multi-band bandpass filter of any HF range. DXE-RPA-2-PM Modular Receive Preamplifier accepts one Receive Filter Plug-In Module to customize the preamplifier passband. Hi-Z® Antennas DL-4 V2 Long and Short Delay Cables

Hi-Z® Antennas DL-4 V2 Long and Short Delay Cables are essential components for the Hi-Z 4 Element V2 4 Square and Hi-Z 8 Element V2 Multi-Band 8 Circle Receive Array Systems. These are the high quality RG-6U coaxial cables that are precision tuned by DX Engineering and terminated with compression-style weather resistant male F connectors. These Hi-Z DL4 V2 Delay Cables must be selected and purchased separately, depending upon the desired array band coverage and corresponding size of the array, detailed below. Each are permanently connected to the 4 Square or 8 Circle Phase Controller "Long Delay" and "Short Delay" female F connectors upon array installation. SMALL ARRAY dimensions for maximized multi-band reception require the selection of one HIZ-DL-4-60-85L (Long) and one HIZ-DL-4-60-85S (Short), as recommended by Hi-Z for: * 4 Square Array with element side spacing of 60 ft. * 8 Circle Array with a diameter of 85 ft. DX Engineering builds the best-engineered and toughest active antennas in the world. That said, we realized that our brass mounting blocks for the whips used on the active antennas might occasionally need replaced. On the other hand, we support more antenna builders and experimenters with our antenna parts than any other supplier. We looked at the mounting block and understood that this piece, with its handy .250 in. mounting holes and standard whip/mobile-mount thread, could be a useful part to have in general antenna experimentation! YCCC Receive Feedline Choke Kits

Closeout- Other YCCC array components are no longer available YCCC Receive Feedline Choke Kits prevent common-mode noise or unwanted signal intrusion on the feed lines of YCCC Receive Vertical Array Kits. These choke kits are the same as provided in the array kit packages and may be used as replacements or in other applications. Component-level assembly of these kits is required. A choke enclosure is user supplied. Their function is to provide isolation between the input and output coaxial shield connections, while passing desired receive or control signals. Their isolation impedance blocks common-mode noise or unwanted signals. YCCC Receive Feedline Choke Kits are supplied with standard "F" female connectors to prevent connection to transmitting equipment. DX Engineering Receive Filters

DX Engineering Receive Filters are available individually for use in the NCC-2, RPA-2, RTR-2 or DMC-2 with adapter boards. These filters are also available in sets with mounting fixtures for use in the NCC-1. DX Engineering Receive Filters are numbered for the key Amateur Band on which they function. The Band Pass filter models pass RF only on the numbered band, the High Pass models function on that band and all device frequencies above, and the Low Pass models work on that band and all device frequencies below. Response plots for Receive Filters are conveniently listed on a single page in this product's detail web page tab labeled "Charts and Guides". Some users will want to use a pair of these filters with two of the required DXE-RXFL-1 Filter Adapter Boards in their NCC-2. Each individual filter used requires a DXE-RXFL-1 Single Filter Adapter Board to convert them for installation in DX Engineering device models DXE-NCC-2, DXE-RPA-2, DXE-RTR-2 or DXE-DMC-2. Hi-Z® Antennas DL-3A Delay Cables

Hi-Z® Antennas DL-3A Delay Cables are an essential component of the Hi-Z Three Element V2 Triangular Array, required for installation of the a HIZ-PC-3A Phasing Combiner. Order one HIZ-DL-3AL Long Delay Cable for 40 ft. element spacing of the Hi-Z Three Element V2 Triangular Array. For arrays larger than 40 ft. element spacing, add one HIZ-DL-3AS Delay Cable Set, which includes three 3 ft. extension cables to provide adjustment capability for array size. Use all three for an array with 50 ft. element spacing. The 23 ft. DL-3AL is combined in-line with a single or multiple 3 ft. extensions from the DL-3AS. They connect in series to the PC-3A V2 Phasing Controller Delay Line ports. Signal delay with added cable segments allows the user to accommodate different size arrays, 40 through 50 ft. element spacing, or to manipulate the patterns to achieve changes in Receive Directivity Factor (RDF). DX Engineering Receive Device Replacement Parts Kits

DX Engineering Receive Device Replacement Parts Kits contain RF chokes and capacitors that are commonly found in bias tee circuits and in many other receiving and control devices. Also known as feedline voltage injectors, bias tee circuits occasionally suffer minor lightning pulse damage. Typically the choke or capacitor is burned out, which can be easily repaired with one of these replacement parts. Contained in each kit are 30 electronic components: • 10 each 100uH RF chokes • 10 each 0.1uF 50V capacitors with 0.2 in. leg spacing • 10 each 0.1uF 50V capacitors with 0.3 in. leg spacing. Click "More Detail" to see the DX Engineering device compatibility chart. Several DX Engineering devices use only one of these parts. None of the devices listed require all three parts; this is a multi-purpose package for the repair bench. These common electronic parts may be used for many other projects around the shack and in station gear, and even for repair of other types of equipment. Use these parts at your own discretion.
