Unified Microsystems BevFlex-4X and BevFlex-4X/Q Reversible Receive Antenna System
Unified Microsystems BevFlex-4X Reversible Receive Antenna System is a very versatile two-direction low band receiving antenna. This is the updated and improved version of the W8GNM revolutionary design that uses only low cost, low loss RG-6 for the elements and the feedline of a Reversible Beverage antenna or Reversible Beverage on Ground antenna. Plus, it uses specially designed transformer units that allow the feedpoint unit to be placed anywhere along the length of the Reversible Beverage or BOG, instead of only at one end or the other. Like for other Beverage antennas, the Elevated Beverage or a Beverage on Ground (BOG), the performance of the reversible BevFlex-4X system depends upon the length of the user supplied RG-6 coax for the antenna element. Also, the versatile BevFlex-4X components may be used to create a two-direction version of any one of these antennas, using a much shorter length of wire for the receiving element: * EWE * Flag * VE3DO Loop BevFlex-4X Systems consist of four components; one Feed Unit, two Terminator Units and one Control Switch Unit. The Feed and Terminal Units are house in NEMA rated enclosures and use stainless steel hardware for maximum weather protection. Do you need enhanced reception in four directions? The BevFlex-4X/Q combines two sets of Terminator and Feed Units with the RAS-4 remote antenna switch to let you hear better in all four quadrants. The BevFlex-4X antennas can be any mix of Beverage, BOG, Flag, EWE, or VE3DO. The included RAS-4 Remote Antenna Switch only requires a single coax and four wire control cable to the shack. NOTE: An in-shack four direction switch control box is not included. Choose a control console from DX Engineering, EA4TX and others, or build your own. Just add RG-6 coax and ground rods! Click "More Details" and the Brochure link at the Documentation tab to see pdf diagrams of all of these two and four-direction BevFlex receive antenna system connections. Depending upon the real estate you have available, the FAQ chart will help you choose the Unified Microsystems BevFlex-4X or BevFlex-4X/Q configuration that fits your property and your low band reception needs!

DX Engineering Reversible Beverage Antenna System Combos
DX Engineering Reversible Beverage Antenna System Combos allow two Beverage antennas to be switched to receive in opposite directions while sharing the same physical space. These exciting new reversible Beverage combos include DX Engineering's superb receive preamp! Dramatically improved weak signal results can be achieved on MW, BCB, 160, 80 and 40 meter bands and shortwave bands with receive-only Beverage wire antennas that are typically 350 to 800 feet long, depending upon the lowest band of interest. DX Engineering Reversible Beverage System Combos are immune to the strong signal overload and core saturation common in multi-transmitter contesting environments. Reversible Beverages have two antenna F connectors; one "Away" port for the default end-fire receiving pattern off the end of the wire, and one "Toward" port for the opposite direction. Applying a negative 10 to 18 V DC to the feedline switches the system between the two antenna ports for reception in opposite directions. You can build a 4-direction receive antenna system with two reversible Beverage systems and one DX Engineering RLS-2 Two-Port Receiving Switch that also requires only one feedline! The optional DX Engineering Feedline Voltage Coupler, model DXE-FVC-1 is highly recommended to provide all of the required feedline voltage injection. Plus, the optional DXE-EC-4 BCD Control Console completes the system for four-direction switching right in the shack. These RBS systems will work with any 300-600 ohm 2-wire line. For best low-loss low-noise results, use DX Engineering flooded or quad-shielded 75-ohm coax; with our F-type compression connectors to ensure a weatherproof installation. DX Engineering RPA-1 Receive Preamplifiers use RCA-type phono jacks and CATV Type-F female connectors for the input and output connections to prevent accidental connection to transmitting devices. RPA-1 Receive Preamplifiers feature a built-in relay that automatically bypasses the preamplifier circuit when DC power is removed. These high performance devices must be powered with a well filtered and regulated DC power supply and will offer maximum performance at 12 to 18 V DC input. DX Engineering Receive Four Square Array Electronics Package
DX Engineering Receive Four Square Array Electronics Package, DXE-RFS-SYS-2P, is for the array builder who wants to use their own passive receive verticals for a mono-band receive array. See the DXE-R4S-SYS-V3 for the Complete Receive Four Square V3 Array System with Receive Short Element Active Verticals. DX Engineering Receive Four Square Arrays dramatically improve reception of weak distant signals with excellent rejection of extraneous signals and noise. This four-direction switchable array uses time delay phasing of four physically short receiving vertical elements. The resulting directional receiving pattern is superior to four short Beverage antennas and typical two or three element arrays. The Receive Four Square is less susceptible to high angle signals than EWE, Flag, Pennant, K9AY and SAL antennas. This type of receive array, using physically short vertical elements, limits signal and noise for dramatically superior weak signal reception, as compared to full size transmitting antennas and arrays. With proper spacing of four unobtrusive, physically short vertical elements, the Receive Four Square Array System provides high performance directional receive for HF Amateur, SWL or AM DXing. Click or tap the title of a listed item for an overview - a complete description, Specifications, Required and Suggested Parts. Links to instruction manuals and charts appear in Documentation. DX Engineering Receive Four Square Arrays offer directional performance comparable to four long Beverage wire antennas, using far less land area. This Controller and Switch Console package is designed to be used with four identical, user-supplied, active or passive symmetrically-spaced ground-mounted vertical elements to provide switching for a 4-direction receiving antenna system. Passive elements will generally provide an optimized monoband receiving system. Conversely, with four DX Engineering Receive Short Element Active Vertical antennas, DXE-RSEAV-1, the properly sized array can achieve excellent directional receiving performance over three HF bands. Build an exceptionally effective, electronically rotatable, stationary receive antenna that lets you hear the DX that cannot be heard on a transmit antenna. Dig the weak signals out of the noise with an antenna that can help make your station one of the best; install the DX Engineering Receive Four Square Array System. * Important Note regarding DX Engineering Protection Plans and Kit Combo Contents NOTE: Protection plans cannot be purchased for combination packages or on applicable devices after shipment.
