Yaesu G-800DXA Medium Heavy-Duty Rotator Systems
Yaesu G-800DXA Medium Heavy-Duty Rotator Systems are azimuth positioners designed to rotate large tower-mounted amateur and professional antenna arrays under remote control from the station's operating position. These systems feature attractive compass-dial position indication controllers, with a connector port for optional computer interface for automated directional antenna positioning control. Yaesu's G-800DXA rotator design utilizes 98 heavy 3/8 in. dual-stacked circumferential ball bearings to distribute load over the full diameter of the housing. This design minimizes stress and wear and practically eliminates the possibility of destructive water entry: There is no shaft hole in the top of the housing. Instead of the usual AC motor drive used in older rotator designs, the G-800DXA use a variable-voltage DC motor, removing the need for a large starting capacitor with its potential for failure exposed to outside temperature variations. The factory-lubricated rotator unit is housed in melamine resin-coated die-cast aluminum, intended to provide maintenance-free operation under all climatic conditions. A mast alignment gauge on the rotator housing simplifies accurate mechanical alignment during installation. Tower mounted, this model handles over 20 sq. ft. of antenna wind load and over 400 lbs. of vertical mast load. Installation is required for included plug connectors on to the installer supplied 6-conductor control cable; 20 AWG for lengths less than 125 ft. and 18 AWG over 125 ft. Console power is 117 volts AC for units sold in the USA. The handsome desktop controller provides 360 degrees radial indication of actual antenna azimuth bearing. You can select rotation time over 360 degrees from 40 to 100 seconds on the G-800DXA, and preset a desired heading for the rotator, to which it then turns automatically. The operator may select the stop heading, the compass bearing through which the rotator cannot be turned, which is most convenient for their station location and operation, allowing full rotation through north, south or both, if desired. In any case, 90 degrees overlapping rotation allows rotation through the selected stop heading for 450 degrees of total rotation. These rotators are intended for mounting to an accessory shelf inside a support tower (not supplied), at least 1-meter (40 in.) below the top of the tower. Yaesu G-450ADC Medium-Duty Rotator Systems
Yaesu G-450ADC Medium-Duty Rotator Systems are the entry-level rotator and controller that are perfect for small HF beams, a tri-bander or VHF and UHF antennas up to about 10 sq. ft. of tower-mounted wind load. A lesser wind load of about 5 sq. ft. can be handled when mounting the G-450ADC on top of a mast with the optional lower mast bracket, GC-038. Rotate Amateur and professional antennas with the Yaesu's handsome 120 Vac desktop remote control console, featuring a compass-style indicator at the station operating position. The G-450ADC rotator system provides 450 degrees of azimuth rotation in just over one minute. The rotator handles masts of 1.25 to 2.48 in. outside diameter and, when tower mounted, a total vertical mast load up to 200 lbs. Yaesu G-5500DC Azimuth-Elevation Rotator Systems are specially designed to accommodate horizontal cross-booms to mount pairs of VHF and UHF directional antennas for space communications. WiMo ERC-Duo USB Interface for Yaesu Rotators
ERC-Duo USB Interface for Yaesu Rotators is a compact interface designed in Germany for connecting compatible Yaesu rotator controllers to a computer via USB. ERC-Duo can connect to all Yaesu rotator controllers that have an 'Ext. Control' connector. ERC-Duo includes a 6-pin mini-DIN cable for the Yaesu DXA series controllers. The ERC-Duo Interface uses the Yaesu rotor control protocol, just like the Yaesu GS-232A/GS-232B interface. This makes this interface compatible with almost all rotor control programs and logging software programs on the market. A key difference and advantage compared to others is the ERC-Duo Interface is powered via the PC USB port, so it is easy to use for either Base or Portable Satellite operations because it does not require an external power supply. The mast gripping pressure of these clamps is completely adjustable, by limiting the torque applied to the included clamping fasteners. Available in two sizes, for 2 inch OD and 3 inch OD masts, based on the K7NV design, these are the heavy-duty original equipment mast clamps for the DX Engineering RT4500HD Rotator. The 2 inch OD HD Mast Clamp is also a heavy-duty replacement for M2 Antennas OR2800 Positioners and Yaesu G2800-DXA, G1000-DXA, and G800-DXA Rotators. EA4TX ARS-USB Rotator Controller Interfaces
EA4TX ARS-USB Rotator Controller Interfaces are universal computer interfaces for automating your antenna rotator. These low-cost USB rotor controller interfaces are available in two versions--one for azimuth rotators and the other for azimuth and elevation rotators. Connect the ARS-USB to your PC via the USB port, and it appears as a serial COM port for most logging and satellite tracking programs. These interfaces emulate the Yaesu GS232A rotator control protocol, so programs that offer Yaesu rotator control are immediately compatible. Any rotator unit with directional feedback is supported and may be easily calibrated internally in the ARS-USB. The user manual, linked below, also details how internal jumpers make it a snap to adapt the ARS-USB to almost any rotator controller. Alternatively, use a separate power supply or a transformer from a manual controller for your rotator unit to make the ARS-USB a stand-alone rotator controller. The ARS-USB also requires 12 Vdc for operation and features a permanently connected DC wire with stripped leads. A software disc and USB cable for the interface connection to the computer are included. IMPORTANT: For use with Windows 10 visit the EA4TX website and download ARSVCOM v6.8. Yaesu G-5500 Series Rotator Replacement Mounting Hardware
The Yaesu Azimuth Rotators may be mounted at the top of the mast together with the elevation rotator, or separately inside a supporting tower. Mounting the Azimuth Rotators separately on the side of the mast requires additional hardware not supplied with the G-5500 Rotator kits. These YSU-S8003450 Pipe Clamps and YSU-S8002738A M8 X 115mm Stud Bolts (sold separately) are replacements for those originally supplied in the Yaesu Separation Kit.
