M2 Antennas Solid Center Cross Booms, model CB60, also known as FGCB60 or FCB60, are used for critical VHF/UHF/SHF satellite uplink-downlink systems, EME (moon bounce) and long range terrestrial operations. These Cross Booms feature a super strong 1.625 in. solid aluminum rod center section with two 2 in. outside diameter, 60 in. long, 1/4 in. thick-wall fiberglass tubing sections, to secure large systems or arrays. Built for years of slip free service, Solid Center Cross Booms eliminate the worry of crushing, cracking or splintering the center portion of an all fiberglass cross boom. One of the uses for these extra heavy duty solid center 11 ft. long cross booms are in an azimuth-elevation rotator (AZ-EL).
