SOTAbeams Open Wire Line Spacers
SOTAbeams Open Wire Line Spacers are light and strong, heavy duty insulators made with modern materials that make it easy to build your own very low-loss ladder line! Features of these Open Wire Spacers: • Made from a specially selected mix of ABS and PVC to give great strength coupled with good UV resistance and tolerance to a wide temperature range, -58 to +194 degrees F (-50C to +90C) • Unlike heavy ceramic insulators which tend to slip with time on vertical ladder lines, these spacers are lightweight, just 0.2 oz. (5.5g) • Wire clips in easily and spacers stay in place • Suitable for insulated or uninsulated wire 12 to 18 AWG (2.5mm-1.0mm diameter) • Line spacing 4.4 in. (110mm) Spacer length 4.6 in. (120mm) • Spaced to create a feedline with a nominal impedance of 600 ohms • Recommended distance between spreaders is 27 in. (70 cm) • Hole in the center for attachment to wall stand-off or building cage dipoles • Spacers can be used to build special folded dipoles Sold in packs of five (5), it is easy to order SOTAbeams Open Wire Line Spacers in North America from DX Engineering.

Mastrant Antenna Support and Guy Line Ropes
Mastrant Antenna Support and Guy Line Ropes are available in several sizes and strength ratings, perfect for support of wire antennas, vertical antennas and antenna masts, as well as support of Yagi booms and elements. Mastrant ropes are of the highest quality for strength and are UV-protected for extended longevity. MASTRANT-O is a highly reflective rope (bright orange plus braided reflective tape) based on long-term proven Polyester (Dacron) product line. It is designed for maximum visibility in public places such as Field Day and POTA activities. Like all Mastrant ropes, it is UV stable and resistant to all weather conditions. It has low weight, great abrasion resistance, great durability and is nonconductive (no effect whatsoever on your antenna). Moreover, in contrast to ropes made from aramid fibers (Kevlar, Vectran, Technora, Twaron), it has knot strength about 60 %. Mastrant-P and Mastrant-R Ropes are stronger than other synthetic ropes of the same size, made from proven modern polyester. Mastrant-Q is a new rope made from a blend of polyester and polypropylene, designed specifically for guying applications. It offers an excellent performance-to-price ratio and has a knot strength of approximately 60%. It replaces Mastrant-P in diameters of 6 mm (1/4 in.) and larger. Mastrant-S is a similar polyester/polypropylene rope, distinguished by its highly reflective strands for increased visibility. Mastrant-M is their highest strength rope with the Dyneema® DM20 core, a superior synthetic rope offering high performance at an affordable price. Very high strength, negligible elongation, very low weight, and great abrasion resistance are all attributes that make Mastrant-M the best rope for guying. Larger, stronger sizes of Mastrant-M are used in Europe and other parts of the world for tower guying. Durability and safety are of prime concern to ensure that an antenna installation remains fully operational for a long time. Antennas and guy lines are exposed to changing weather conditions, mechanical strain, UV radiation, humidity, and more. These non-conductive synthetic fibers have all the necessary qualities: high strength, negligible stretch but good flexibility, long life, low moisture collection, fast drying, a minimum bending radius adding the ability to tie knots, good UV radiation resistance, weather durability and resistance to acids and alkali. Conversely, steel guying wires are heavy, difficult to work with, and their strength deteriorates with time due to corrosion and general aging. Electrical conductivity of steel guys is an undesirable feature, as they interact with the antennas and adversely modify radiation patterns. Thanks to recent developments in synthetic materials, both amateur and professional users are changing over to non-conductive guys and ropes. Mastrant offers these products for a variety of applications, from thin support lines used for wire antennas and beams, to rope guys for supporting small and portable masts and vertical antennas. When you need quality rope to install, replace, or modify your antenna systems, consider Mastrant Antenna Support and Guy Line Ropes, now available from DX Engineering.

DX Engineering Wire Antenna End Insulators
DX Engineering Wire Antenna End Insulators are so unique that they are patented. They feature a unique serpentine wire grip for DX Engineering's insulated antenna wires and for our high-strength, high-power 300 ohm ladder line when used as a folded dipole. The serpentine wire grip and loop method is strong enough to support the antenna wires with no soldering of the wire required. This allows for fast and easy field adjustments of antenna length! The DXE-UWA-END-KIT includes eight of these unique insulators, which make them ideal add-on package to create multiple wire fan dipoles from a single UWA-KIT. Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. Many hams enjoy building, testing and experimenting with wire antennas. Make your own experimentation easier with DX Engineering Wire Antenna End Insulators!

DX Engineering Glass Antenna Insulators
Sometimes the oldest stuff turns out to be the best. Our exclusive DX Engineering Glass Antenna Insulators hearken back to the earliest years of "wireless" transmissions. Because Irish ship builders of the day pronounced "double" as "dooble," these insulators were once known as "glass doobies" due to their tempered-glass material and double-ended form. Glass insulators offer the highest of electrical insulation properties, strength and resilience available in any insulator of its size. There will be no signal bleed off with these little glass wonders! DX Engineering's DXE-TGI-2 end insulators are 3.69 in. long with 1.125 in. diameter double ends. Each smoothed and rounded end has a 5/16 in. (0.3125 in.) hole that will accommodate many wire and rope sizes without chafing. Their tensile strength and resistance to arcing will withstand almost any wire-antenna use within the Amateur Radio service, domestic or abroad. Since these are end insulators, they are sold as a pair. These are not toy-like models or replica insulators; these are fully functional, high strength glass insulators with excellent RF properties! But, that is not to say that they aren't gorgeous and worthy of showing off! They certainly are perfect for display as a radio room decoration or as a living area conversation piece. Very smooth and pleasing to the touch, these are attractive glass insulators that make a fantastic gift for the ham who thought he had everything! Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. In this instance, some interesting information on "Glass Doobies." Bring back a bit of the essence of the Amateur Radio of yesteryear in your wire antenna construction. These glass insulators are actually quite striking in their appearance. Order DX Engineering Glass Antenna Insulators and gain the benefits of using a material that has provided the best wire-antenna insulation for more than a century!
