DX Engineering Maxi-Core® 20 Baluns and Feedline Chokes
The present-day DX Engineering was launched in the year 2000. To celebrate our 20th Anniversary in the year 2020 we have developed a new line of Baluns and Feedline Chokes. Introducing DX Engineering "Maxi-Core® 20" Baluns and Feedline Chokes. They reduce or eliminate currents on the outside of your feedline allowing you to hear and to be heard much better. They keep more RFI/BCI out of your antenna and receiver and transfer more of your transmitted signal to the antenna for higher efficiency, the best antenna pattern and maximum performance. Signaling a new era of RF performance across the 1.8 to 54 MHz frequency range, DX Engineering Maxi-Core® 20 Baluns and Feedline Chokes handle full-legal-power-plus and provide higher common mode impedance (CMI) across a greater frequency range than competing models and even previous DX Engineering and Comtek models. Years of R&D coupled with major advancements in test equipment and techniques combined with custom ferrite materials have allowed our engineering team to design the DX Engineering Maxi-Core® 20 Baluns and Feedline Chokes. Maxi-Core® 20 Baluns and Chokes have high CMI across the AM Broadcast band and the HF/6M spectrum, which is essential to provide sufficient suppression of unwanted transmitted and received RFI/BCI current on the feedline shield exterior. Hear and be heard with DXE Maxi-Core® 20 Baluns and Feedline Chokes. Choose superior performance from these models: * DXE-MC20-1-1 Maxi-Core® 20 - 1:1 Current Choke Balun - For all HF-6m balanced antennas with a 50 ohm feedpoint, including resonant dipoles, loops, Yagis, beams, etc. * DXE-MC20-FC Maxi-Core® 20 - 1:1 Feedline Choke – This high CMI line isolator is perfect for use in line on 50 ohm coaxial feedlines, at the antenna, tower or shack end of the feedline. * DXE-MC20-1-1T Maxi-Core® 20 - 1:1 Current Choke Balun – This 1:1 "T" model is for force feeding antennas with a tuner. Use it at the end of ladder line of any impedance or mounted on a coax fed non-resonant antenna. This model tolerates operation at high SWR on non-resonant multi-band antennas. * DXE-MC20-C4-1 Maxi-Core® 20 - 4:1 Current Choke Balun is for use on antennas with a 200 ohm feedpoint and at the end of any impedance ladder line, especially on antenna systems with higher impedance. This model tolerates operation at high SWR on non-resonant multi-band antennas. * DXE-MC20-V4-1 Maxi-Core® 20 - 4:1 Voltage Balun is a 200 ohm to 50 ohm transformer for use on random long-wire and OCF antenna applications. Yaesu G-800DXA Medium Heavy-Duty Rotator Systems
Yaesu G-800DXA Medium Heavy-Duty Rotator Systems are azimuth positioners designed to rotate large tower-mounted amateur and professional antenna arrays under remote control from the station's operating position. These systems feature attractive compass-dial position indication controllers, with a connector port for optional computer interface for automated directional antenna positioning control. Yaesu's G-800DXA rotator design utilizes 98 heavy 3/8 in. dual-stacked circumferential ball bearings to distribute load over the full diameter of the housing. This design minimizes stress and wear and practically eliminates the possibility of destructive water entry: There is no shaft hole in the top of the housing. Instead of the usual AC motor drive used in older rotator designs, the G-800DXA use a variable-voltage DC motor, removing the need for a large starting capacitor with its potential for failure exposed to outside temperature variations. The factory-lubricated rotator unit is housed in melamine resin-coated die-cast aluminum, intended to provide maintenance-free operation under all climatic conditions. A mast alignment gauge on the rotator housing simplifies accurate mechanical alignment during installation. Tower mounted, this model handles over 20 sq. ft. of antenna wind load and over 400 lbs. of vertical mast load. Installation is required for included plug connectors on to the installer supplied 6-conductor control cable; 20 AWG for lengths less than 125 ft. and 18 AWG over 125 ft. Console power is 117 volts AC for units sold in the USA. The handsome desktop controller provides 360 degrees radial indication of actual antenna azimuth bearing. You can select rotation time over 360 degrees from 40 to 100 seconds on the G-800DXA, and preset a desired heading for the rotator, to which it then turns automatically. The operator may select the stop heading, the compass bearing through which the rotator cannot be turned, which is most convenient for their station location and operation, allowing full rotation through north, south or both, if desired. In any case, 90 degrees overlapping rotation allows rotation through the selected stop heading for 450 degrees of total rotation. These rotators are intended for mounting to an accessory shelf inside a support tower (not supplied), at least 1-meter (40 in.) below the top of the tower. Yaesu rotators have a fine reputation within the Amateur Radio community. In the Yaesu G-450ADC, the clamshell rotator design utilizes 98 heavy 7/16-inch dual-stacked circumferential ball bearings to distribute load over the full diameter of the housing. This design minimizes stress and wear, and practically eliminates the possibility of destructive water entry: there is no shaft hole in the top of the housing. Yaesu's factory-lubricated rotator units are housed in Melamine resin-coated die-cast aluminum intended to provide maintenance-free operation under all climatic conditions. IMPORTANT NOTE: Beginning in 2019 the new Yaesu G-450ADC Rotator motors and controllers operate with a 20 V DC control voltage, four-wire system, using the provided connectors to be installed at each end of the user supplied control cable, same as the previous models. For clarity, the new DC rotator motors are marked "G-450DC" at the connector. The rear panel of the controller is titled "G-450ADC" on the serial number label. WARNING: The legacy Yaesu G-450A Rotator motors and controllers used a 26 VAC control voltage, five-wire system. Therefore, old AC controllers are NOT compatible with new DC rotator motors, and new DC controllers are not compatible with old AC rotator motors. All control cable assemblies for all modern Yaesu rotator systems use the same connectors with "1 to 1 pin-out" connector wiring. Therefore, older cable assemblies are compatible with the new Yaesu G-450ADC components, which only use pins 2, 3, 4 and 5 in each connector. For control cable runs less than 125 ft. use four-conductor, 20 gauge control cable (4 x 20 AWG). If the rotator cable needs to be longer than 125 ft., then use four-conductor 18 gauge cable (4 x 18 AWG). The input voltage for the G-450ADC controller is labeled "117 VAC" to indicate house current of 110 to 120 Vac. When you need a medium-duty rotator system, which is durable and attractive, order a new Yaesu G-450ADC Medium-Duty Rotator System from DX Engineering.

DX Engineering NCC-2 Receive Antenna Phasing Systems
Imagine adjusting the controls to knock out strong interfering stations or noise—and then being able to copy and log that weak DX station. By successfully combining the right antennas with the advanced phasing capabilities of the NCC-2, this is the operating thrill that every radio enthusiast can enjoy, again and again! DX Engineering NCC-2 Receive Antenna Phasing Systems are variable phasing controllers that combine the 300 kHz- 30MHz received signals from one transmit antenna and one receive antenna, or from two dedicated receive antennas. Combining signals from two stationary antennas physically spaced 1/10 to 1/2 wavelength apart creates an array pattern with signal peaks and dips called nulls. Adjusting the NCC-2 Phase and Balance controls have the effect of electronically rotating or steering that pattern. Steering the null direction to significantly weaken a local or distant interfering signal or noise is known as "Noise Cancelling." This "Noise Cancelling Controller" (NCC-2) can dramatically enhance the reception of weak signals from non-null directions. This "reverse-beam" capability on radio frequencies AM Broadcast through HF can provide amazing benefits for many types of AM DX and SWL receiving and ham radio operating. Work new DX, hear the weak station in casual regional conversations, snag the rare multiplier in contests and hear beyond the noise and interference in dire circumstances. DX Engineering NCC-2 Phasing Systems now feature the built-in RTR Receive-Transmit Interface relay system that expands the exciting benefits of antenna phasing for interference reduction in two ways: * First, the NCC-2 can combine signals from the HF transmit antenna and a separate receive antenna to effectively notch-out strong stations or noise. Almost any Amateur can now enjoy the benefits of antenna phasing and noise-nulling, even those with space limitations for separating the receiving and transmitting antennas. * Second, the user of any standard HF transceiver that lacks a separate receive antenna input can have enhanced reception of noise and signal nulling with the DXE-NCC-2 and two antennas. Rear panel SO-239, F and BNC connectors make the NCC-2 extremely versatile and easy to connect to almost any receiver or HF transceiver up to 200 watts. Redesigned with plug-in modular circuit board sockets, the NCC-2 includes one switched and powered internal slot and two passive internal slots per channel to accommodate these new options: * DXE-RPA-2-PM Receive Preamplifier Plug-In Modules (powered): one per channel for low-signal passive antennas with poor ground conditions * DXE-RG5000HD-PM Receiver Guard 5000HD Plug-In Module (passive): Front-end protection for the NCC-2 and the receiver * DXE-IT-PM 75 to 50 ohm Impedance Transformer Plug-In Module (passive): to match 75 ohm RX ANT feedlines to NCC-2 50 ohm internal impedance * NCC-2 Receive Filter Sets (passive, non-switchable): High Pass, Band Pass and Low Pass Filters for 160, 80, 40 meters typically in stock, with other band filters available individually by special order. DX Engineering NCC-2 Receive Antenna Phasing Systems offer these new additional benefits: * Multi-Color Status Indicating LEDs for Power, RTR Mode and Preamp Power CH A and CH B * New Radio Key Line Input with RX Enable Output-RTR Failsafe to prevent RF damage to NCC-2 and RX equipment * New ACC Key Line Output RCA female 'ground on transmit' pass-through for Amplifier or Accessory * New screw-on 2.1mm DC connector to prevent accidental power cable pull-out * Operates on +13.8VDC @ 2A input to power the NCC-2 and internally jumper set Bias Tee on each RX ANT ports for coax fed Active Verticals and other accessories. These systems feature attractive compass-dial position indication controllers, with a connector port for optional computer interface for automated directional antenna positioning control. Yaesu's G-2800DXA rotator design utilizes 98 heavy 3/8 in. dual-stacked circumferential ball bearings to distribute load over the full diameter of the housing. This design minimizes stress and wear and practically eliminates the possibility of destructive water entry: There is no shaft hole in the top of the housing. Instead of the usual AC motor drive used in older rotator designs, the G-2800DXA, G-1000DXA and G-800DXA use a variable-voltage DC motor, removing the need for a large starting capacitor with its potential for failure exposed to outside temperature variations. The factory-lubricated rotator unit is housed in melamine resin-coated die-cast aluminum, intended to provide maintenance-free operation under all climatic conditions. A mast alignment gauge on the rotator housing simplifies accurate mechanical alignment during installation. Tower mounted, this model handles over 30 sq. ft. of antenna wind load and over 650 lbs. of vertical mast load. About 130 ft. of control cable is included with the G-2800DXA only. Control console power is 110/120 volts AC. The handsome desktop controller provides 360 degrees radial indication of actual antenna azimuth bearing. You can select rotation time over 360 degrees from 50 to 120 seconds on the G-2800DXA, and preset a desired heading for the rotator, to which it then turns automatically. When a fast rotation speed is selected, special "auto slow-start" and "auto slow-stop" features avoid sharp jolts to the antenna array and tower. Activating the rotator causes it to begin turning at slow, but increasing, speed. As the antenna approaches the desired heading, the rotation automatically slows down, before bringing the antenna to a gentle stop. When installing a new tower, or replacing an old rotator, consider purchasing a Yaesu G-2800DXA Extra Heavy-Duty Rotator System from DX Engineering.

Par EndFedz® Antennas
Par EndFedz® Antennas are End Fed Half Wave (EFHW) antennas with the match box coax connection at the end of the wire, for convenient and quick stealth portable operations. These single-band and multi-band antennas can be mounted horizontally, vertically, or as a sloper. No ground plane or counterpoise is needed so portable operation could not be easier. Simply hang the far end from a tree limb or send the wire out a hotel room window or balcony. You can use a telescoping fiberglass mast to get the antenna really high in the air and the supplied end insulators the installation easy. Stealth operation in CC&R and HOA antenna restricted locations is simplified. Their all-black construction makes them difficult to see. Each Par EndFedz® features a UV-resistant black ABS plastic housing with a support rope attachment hole that encloses a matching network to allow the antenna to be fed with standard 50 ohm coaxial cable with a PL-259 (UHF male). All hardware is stainless steel and the SO-239 (UHF female) connector is silver plated and has a PTFE dielectric. The antenna wires are either 18 or 26 AWG stranded Copperweld® with 200 pound breaking strength and a tough, 100% UV stable black polyethylene jacket. One end of the antenna wire has a #10 solder lug making attachment to the matching network feedpoint simple and easily replaceable, if necessary. Standard single and multi-band versions handle 100 or 200 watts and higher power versions handle 300 watts. Lightweight QRP PolyStealth models handle 25 watts and are ideal for portable operation because they are lightweight; the MKII model weighs only 8 ounces and the Trail Friendly model weighs only 3.5 oz. Par EndFedz® Antennas require no counterpoise or extra conductors. The EF-ALLBAND-KW model, about 133 ft. in length, covers eight bands, 80 through 10 meters. The ALLBANDKWJR is 74 ft. in length and operates on five bands, 80-10 meters. The 64 ft. EF-40-10-KW operates on four bands. All three models handle up to 1000 watts SSB/CW and 250 watts AM/Digital Modes. The need for an external tuner may vary based on the antenna model selected and the desired operating band. The manufacturer refers to these antennas as "End-Fed Dipoles" based upon the assertion that a "half-wave radiator is a dipole." This is a variant of the classic definition of a dipole which is a center-fed antenna with two radiating legs running in opposite directions from the feed point. Additional claims about the EFHW state that end feeding a half-wave "can energize the radiator 'nearly' as well as a center-fed." Recent anecdotal measurements indicate that the EFHW radiates about 70% as well as a traditional center-fed dipole. More information is available at each Par EndFedz® model listed below. The multi-stage design includes a gas discharge tube for maximum pulse energy protection. The DXE-RG5000HD rejects 10 watts of catastrophic receive antenna feedline RF while passing a maximum signal of about 87 dB over S-9, which is only 25 mw, a signal level that is well below the point of front end damage. Receiver Guards are a must for multiple radio contesting stations and they provide low-cost front-end "insurance." Use them in these common high-RF situations: - Receive antennas in very close proximity to transmit antennas - Field-day operations with many transmitters in close range - Multi-transmitter contesting sites - Neighboring Amateur and CB operators - Frequent high-power mobile encounters Extensively tested and proven in real-world stations, the Receiver Guard works for all radios and offers the ultimate performance required by the upper tier of transceivers tested to have the best narrow-spaced third-order dynamic range or published RMDR (Reciprocal Mixing Dynamic Range). These are passive electronic limiters, so competitive contesting stations use separate band filters in addition to the Receiver Guard. When there are high levels of RF on your receive antennas, the DX Engineering Receiver Guard generates far less harmonic noise than other limiters on the market, which allows your station to continue to operate safely and competitively. At normal HF signal levels the RG5000HD operates continuously with no effect on the performance of your station while providing the best possible protection for your radio. Here are key Receiver Guard features: * Keeps stray high levels of RF from damaging your receiver input * Ideal for separate 160 and/or 80 meter receive systems with large pulse and RF energy capture area * Uses state of the art components for maximum protection of receivers * Under 6 ns response time * Multi-Stage protection * Very low insertion loss * Uses BNC type connectors to avoid accidental connection to a transmit feedline * Has been developed and tested in world-recognized multi-multi contest station K3LR Specifications - DX Engineering Receiver Guard model DXE-RG-5000HD - Frequency Range: 0.5 through 150 MHz - Insertion Loss: < 0.15 dB up to 50 MHz, < 0.3 dB 50 MHz up to 150 MHz - VSWR: < 1.2:1 - Maximum Output Level at 10 W input: +14 dBm (0.025 W) - Maximum Power Handling: 10 W CCS (Continuous Commercial Service) - Device Impedance: 50 to 75 ohms, unbalanced - Connectors, Input and Output: BNC female Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. What happens if the receive antenna is extremely close to the transmit antenna, or there is an antenna support or other system failure that causes a high RF level to enter the receive antenna input? A DX Engineering Receiver Guard can save the day! Order yours now.

REZ Antenna Systems CM7 Common Mode Feedline Chokes
REZ Antenna Systems CM7 Common Mode Feedline Chokes are inline 1:1 common mode feedline chokes, consisting of seven mix-31 ferrite beads and RG223/U double shield coax. Proudly made in the USA, the compact and streamlined CM7 was designed to solve some of the most common issues that can negatively impact antenna system tuning and performance. For instance, common mode current carried on the outside of a coaxial cable can cause unwanted RF traveling back to your operating position, causing many issues. Another common issue is that the coax will become part of the antenna system and begin radiating RF. In most cases this is undesirable. Simply install the CM7 at the feed point of your antenna and attach your exiting coaxial cable to the opposite end. The CM7 can be used with many popular antenna types, such as EFHW, dipoles, random wires and verticals, to improve tuning consistency and antenna performance. Many antennas require the use of a 1:1 choke to isolate the coaxial cable from the antenna system for proper performance. Why not improve the performance of your antenna system? Order a REZ Antenna Systems CM7 Common Mode Choke from DX Engineering.

Butternut HF9V 9-Band Vertical Antennas
Butternut HF9V Vertical Antennas work nine popular bands--80 through 6 meters--with an extremely efficient vertical radiator that's only 26 ft. tall! The HF9V antennas are easy to erect and tune antennas that will last you for many years. An internationally acclaimed antenna design, Butternut HF9V antennas require a complete ground radial system. The antenna comes with a 1 1/8 in. base insulator and a 1 1/4 in. O.D. x 2 ft. mounting tube for direct placement into the earth. The preferred, "easiest-to-tune", high-performance installation is the ground mounted HF9V, which requires a bare minimum of 12 evenly spread, straight radial wires. Many more radials are better, with double the number of evenly spread radials achieving nearly double the efficiency and signal performance, an effect that tops out at about 60 ground radials. Each radial wire stapled onto the ground or run an inch or so below the soil surface, may be any length from 20 to 45 ft. Radial wires need to be up to 50 percent longer over sandy and rocky soil to maintain efficiency. Want to hear and work the stations that other operators seem to be working easily? Enjoy advanced operations on the HF bands with a high performance vertical antenna installation. Have more fun DXing with great signals on your Butternut HF9V 9-Band Vertical Antenna.

DX Engineering Radial Plates
DX Engineering Radial Plates are made of 304 Stainless Steel, 1/8 inch thick and 11.625 in. x 11.625 in. outside dimensions. They are made with the finest Stainless Steel that will last! Not cheap aluminum that will dissolve in your soil! ".....it is so beautiful, I want to frame it and put it up on the wall - not in the dirt under my vertical. Sebastian - NS0W" Unique enough to be covered by two US Patents, (Pat. No. 6,927,740 and D533,167), the DX Engineering Radial Plate is meant for those of you that have or are building a quarter wave vertical antenna and who want an easy, neat and effective way to connect those essential radial wires and the coax to your vertical antenna for the lowest takeoff angle and strongest signals. Stainless steel construction assures that your signal won't disappear like a disintegrating aluminum radial plate. One OPTIONAL SADDLE CLAMP (SOLD SEPARATELY) IS REQUIRED to mount the DX Engineering Radial Plate to a ground mounted antenna support pipe, also sold separately. For STEEL pipe from 1 to 2 in. O.D. the all-Stainless Steel DXE-SSVC-2P is the REQUIRED clamp, sold separately. For STEEL pipe from 2 to 3 in. O.D. the all-Stainless Steel DXE-SSVC-3P is the REQUIRED clamp, sold separately. For pipe or rod whose O.D. is between 0.50 in. and 1.75 in. the DXE-CAVS-11P V-saddle clamp is the REQUIRED clamp, sold separately. For aluminum tubing from 1 in.to 2 in. O.D., the DXE-CAVS-2P V-saddle clamp is the REQUIRED clamp, sold separately. This plate will work perfectly with most commercially available vertical antennas such as the Hustler BTV series (4BTV thru the 6BTV), the SteppIR (BiggIR or SmallIR) or an antenna of your own construction. When used with the Hy-Gain AV-18HT Hy-Tower antenna, the radial plate will sit on the concrete under the base plate and will fit within the three concrete-mounted base/insulator pipes. The DX Engineering Radial Plate has a number of advantages over the other plates on the market: First, the DX Engineering Radial Plate will attach easily and rigidly to a 4x4 or 6x6 wooden post using simple wood screws, or to a steel or aluminum pipe (up to 3.0 in. outside diameter) using an OPTIONAL SADDLE CLAMP, SOLD SEPARATELY, to attach to whatever you have supporting your vertical. Size and clamp selection is detailed above. Second, this plate actually has a place where you can attach your coax! What a concept! The plate assembly has been drilled for optional SO-239 Chassis Mount and Bulkhead Fittings. This is a MUST item for proper handling of RF ground current! Regardless of how you do it, it is imperative that your coax be grounded to the radials to complete the circuit for your radial current. Third, the DX Engineering Radial Plate is laser cut from tough stainless steel so that it has smooth edges, won't corrode and will always look good. You will be proud of how good your installation looks. Fourth, it is square. Why? Because a square has more lineal distance around it than the round plates that you usually see. This allowed us to put 60 holes in it, use larger bolts for more clamping power and still not crowd them together. Remember: The more current that flows in through your radials and through this plate, the stronger your signal is going to be and the more DX stations that you are going to hear. So, put on as many radials as you can. Fifth, we supply the correct Stainless Steel bolts, nuts, star washers, flat washers and lock washers to attach the radials. Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. For the absolutely finest made radial plate available, order DX Engineering Radial Plates. Suggested as a station upgrade product - make more contacts to worldwide DX stations and DXpeditions

Yaesu G-1000DXA Heavy-Duty Rotator Systems
Yaesu G-1000DXA Heavy-Duty Rotator Systems are azimuth positioners designed to rotate large tower-mounted amateur and professional antenna arrays under remote control from the station's operating position. These systems feature attractive compass-dial position indication controllers, with a connector port for optional computer interface for automated directional antenna positioning control. Yaesu's G-1000DXA rotator design utilizes 98 heavy 3/8 in. dual-stacked circumferential ball bearings to distribute load over the full diameter of the housing. This design minimizes stress and wear and practically eliminates the possibility of destructive water entry: There is no shaft hole in the top of the housing. Instead of the usual AC motor drive used in older rotator designs, the G-1000DXA use a variable-voltage DC motor, removing the need for a large starting capacitor with its potential for failure exposed to outside temperature variations. The factory-lubricated rotator unit is housed in melamine resin-coated die-cast aluminum, intended to provide maintenance-free operation under all climatic conditions. A mast alignment gauge on the rotator housing simplifies accurate mechanical alignment during installation. Tower mounted, this model handles over 23 sq. ft. of antenna wind load and over 400 lbs. of vertical mast load. You can select rotation time over 360 degrees from 40 to 100 seconds on the G-1000DXA, and preset a desired heading for the rotator, to which it then turns automatically. When installing a new tower, or replacing an old rotator, consider purchasing a Yaesu G-1000DXA Heavy-Duty Rotator System from DX Engineering.
