COMPACtenna 2M/440+ Optimized High Performance Dual-Band Ham Radio Antenna

COMPACtenna 2M/440+ provides high performance using a unique Electric-Magnetic Field Diversity design, Patent No. 9,407,001. Superior Omni-directional coverage is achieved far beyond what would be expected for the antenna size. The multi-faceted geometric design of the antenna includes "extended flat monofilar spiral Tesla-like coils" that serve as the LCR matching system, resonating as an integral part of the signal field generation. No external or internal electronic lossy matching components are used. This design establishes diverse electromagnetic fields resulting in signal stability and performance greater than expected in NLOS (Non-Line-Of-Sight) environments, reducing the effects of ionospheric polarization shifts. COMPACtenna 2M/440+ Specifications: * Frequency Coverage: 144-148 MHz, 430-450 MHz * Power Rating: 100 W 2M; 75 W 70cm * Duty Cycle, Max. Power: 1 minute transmit limit in a 2-minute period * Repeater Operation: 30W maximum at the antenna * Maximum Ambient Temperature: 130 degrees F (hotter conditions, sun exposure, limited air flow reduces duty cycle) * Gain: +5 dB-MEG: Due to diverse EM fields of the Magnetic Field Resonator, performance is greater than predicted by singular polarization field-range tests * SWR, nominal: < 2.1:1 144-148 MHz, 430-450 MHz. Best SWR on VHF frequencies when COMPACtenna 2M/440+ antenna is mounted on an upper corner of a vehicle, NOT center mount. Flat style magnetic mounts provide the best SWR results. SWR varies with size and shape of the vehicle.

REZ Antenna Systems XFORM 4:1 UNUN

The REZ Antenna Systems XFORM 4:1 UNUN is a modular impedance-matching system designed for the Scout system, expanding its capabilities beyond traditional quarter-wave verticals and half-wave dipoles. It integrates seamlessly with the Scout XF base and supports legacy Scout bases via a jumper connection. The XFORM enables over 30 potential antenna deployment options when combined with future 9:1 and 49:1 transformer modules, which are currently in development. Built for durability, the XFORM features CNC-machined 6061 aluminum, an acetal polymer body, and stainless steel hardware. Its gasket-sealed design ensures reliable performance in harsh weather conditions. The unit handles up to 200 watts PEP SSB and 75 watts digital (50% duty cycle) and measures 5.5 inches in length with a maximum diameter of 2.5 inches. Each core is precisely wound and tested for thermal stability and minimal insertion loss, delivering efficient signal transfer and cooler operation underload. The XFORM requires a Scout base for use, making it an essential upgrade for operators seeking maximum versatility and performance in portable HF antenna systems.

Comet HD-5NMO Mobile Antenna Adjustable Lip Mounts

Comet HD-5NMO Mobile Antenna Adjustable Lip Mounts create the perfect pairing for your antenna support. Combining their RS-840NMO bracket and CK-3NMO5 deluxe coax cable assembly, these Comet HD-5NMO lip mounts offer a quality appearance with low-loss coax balance and easy installation. The mounts adjust in three planes, have a soft rubber pad to protect your vehicle's paint, and are held firmly in place with four large set screws. The first 18 in. of coax is mini-type for a better fit through the weather seal, and the coax cable is fitted with 24k gold-plated SO-239 and PL-239 connectors. A note about Comet coax: "The mini coax is neither RG-188 nor RG-174… it is actually 1.5D-QEFV Japanese coax. Comet states it is 'RG-174 type' coax because they have similar loss and diameter specifications. Initially RG-188 was used in comparison but was changed to the RG-174 comparison because they are more similar. The balance of the coax is Japanese 3.5D-QEFV. There is no 'RG' equivalent to 3.5D-QEFV. RG-58 connectors will not fit the 3.5D-QEFV coax, the Comet coax has a larger outside diameter and a larger central core and has about 30 percent less loss than RG-58. All of the coax cables produced by Comet use the Comet (Japanese) low loss coax. Mick Stwertnik - NCG Company" Due to the use of mini coax, power specs for Comet HD-5NMO mobile lip mounts are: * HF: 100 W * VHF: 75 W FM * UHF: 50 W FM For durability, quality low-loss coax and installation convenience, Comet HD-5NMO Mobile Antenna Adjustable Lip Mounts from DX Engineering offer great value!
