Heil Sound Pro Set Elite iC Headsets are excellent boom-mic headsets are designed for Amateur Radio operators using a transceiver that can benefit from the use of a high energy electret element . The new technology of the Heil IC element is designed for full-range commercial AM or FM network broadcasts or can be adjusted for bright, articulate audio to cut through Amateur Radio noise and signal pileups.
Pro Set Elite iC headsets contain the special high performance electret condenser, which was designed for the low-level mic inputs used in many ICOM Amateur Radio transceivers. Their -3 dB points are fixed at 80 H

Pro Set Elite iC headsets contain the special high performance electret condenser, which was designed for the low-level mic inputs used in many ICOM Amateur Radio transceivers. Their -3 dB points are fixed at 80 Hz and 12.5 kHz.
The iC electret element requires +5V DC phantom power, which all ICOM rigs provide. Pro Set Elite iC headsets offer dual side, highly efficient speakers mounted in acoustically tuned chambers, the isolation of which produce a high rejection of outside noise.
An exclusive Heil phase reversal switch allows the user to move the signal acoustically, which creates a spatial widening of the sound field. That makes it easier to 'see' a signal inside of a pileup, while removing listener fatigue during prolonged use. Pro Set Elite speakers fold up for easy transportation and storage. Field-replaceable cushioned ear pads also come with cotton covers that can be easily removed for washing.
Their 6 ft. coiled cable terminates in a 1/8 in. mono plug for the microphone and a stereo 1/8 in. plug for the headphone speaker connection. A 1/8 in. to 1/4 in. headphone jack adapter is also supplied.
Purchase an AD-1 series Headset Adapter Cable (sold separately) for a simple connection to the transceiver mic input. The adapter is 6 in. long and has a 1/8 in. female input jack for the headset boom microphone and a 1/4 in. female for the PTT (push to talk) line for the Heil foot or hand switch. The headset stereo plug goes into the headphone jack on the transceiver front panel.
Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information.
Give your ICOM transceiver the quality headset it deserves. Order Heil Sound Pro Set Elite iC Headsets from DX Engineering to improve your TX and RX audio!
