Yaesu M-90D Desktop Microphones

Yaesu M-90D Desktop Microphones utilize a finely tuned dynamic element to deliver rich low to mid frequency response, desirable for a clear and concise conversational sound that is pleasing to the ear of the listener. The oversize dynamic microphone element and windscreen of the M-90D is designed to accentuate voice input from the front and limit ambient noise and sounds from the side. The attractive desk stand base of the M-90D features a large PTT bar switch, a PTT lock button, and both 8-pin modular and round connectors at the back. By swapping the orientation of the supplied coiled cord cable with 8-pin round and modular connectors at either end, the M-90D may be used with virtually any Yaesu HF transceiver*. For difficult band conditions, a built-in, low-cut filter creates clear and crisp audio characteristics by shaping the low frequency response (cut off at 340Hz, -6dB/octave). An integrated isolation transformer enhances the audio quality of this fine microphone, which also uses three air cylinder tubes, similar to the M-1 Reference Microphone, to provide a lifetime of solid, smooth, and noiseless PTT operation. Yaesu M-90D Desktop Microphone specifications: Microphone type: Dynamic element, preamplified Supply voltage: 5.0 V DC ±10 percent (supplied by most Yaesu transceiver mic connectors*) Frequency response: 30 to 17000 Hz Sensitivity: -60 dB (1 kHz 0 dB=1V/1Pa) Microphone impedance: 600 ohms Dimensions (WHD): 4.17 x 7.56 x 4.98 in. (106 x 192 x 126.5mm) Height maximum when microphone head position is flat Weight: 18.70 oz. (530 g) without cable NOTE: The M-90D Mic head does not disconnect from the desk stand base for other uses. (See M-90MS Mic Head for boom or mic stand applications.) Heil Sound Pro Set Elite Headsets

Heil Sound Pro Set Elite Headsets are the ultimate boom-mic headsets designed for Amateur Radio operators using the Heil HC 6 wide-response microphone element. The microphone technology of the Heil HC 6 is designed for full-range commercial AM or FM network broadcasts, or it may be adjusted for bright, articulate audio to cut through Amateur Radio noise and signal pileups. Pro Set Elite headsets contain specially-designed high-performance dynamic elements that compliment advanced audio adjustability of modern Amateur Radio transceivers. The -3 dB points are fixed at 80 Hz and 12.5 kHz. Pro Set Elite Headsets offer round, over-the-ear cushioned pads with highly efficient speakers mounted in acoustically-tuned chambers. That makes it easier to 'see' a signal inside of a pileup while helping to remove listener fatigue during prolonged use. The headphone's speakers fold up for easy transportation and storage. Field-replaceable cushioned ear pads also come with cotton covers that can be easily removed for washing. Their 6 ft. coiled cable terminates in a 1/8 in. mono plug for the microphone and a stereo 1/8 in. plug for the headphone speaker connection. A 1/8 in. to 1/4 in. headphone jack adapter is also supplied. Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. Pro Set Elite Headsets work with all Heil AD-1 adapter cables, which mate with just about every type of amateur radio transceiver. Purchase an AD-1 series Headset Adapter Cable (sold separately) for a simple connection to the transceiver mic input. The adapter is 6 in. long and has a 1/8 in. female input jack for the headset boom microphone and a 1/4 in. female for the PTT (push to talk) line for the Heil foot or hand switch. Yaesu M-1 Reference Microphones

Yaesu M-1 Reference Microphones are the ultimate, high-quality, most-innovative desktop microphones and are dedicated to the most discriminating Ham Radio Operators. They feature combined Condenser (Electret) and Dynamic microphone elements. The Condenser Microphone Element produces greater frequency response and a clear, crisp audio characteristic that's perfect for being heard on crowded bands and in big DX pile-ups. The Dynamic Microphone Element delivers the rich low to mid tonalities, much favored for local QSOs and rag chewing. The response of each microphone element may be adjusted independently using the internal, Nine (9) Band, Graphic Equalizer. Each element has a separate gain control for independent adjustment of output levels. The output of each microphone may be selected separately, or they may be combined to produce the most pleasant tonal quality. Both the Condenser Element and Dynamic Element in the M-1 utilize the Nine (9) Band Graphic Equalizer centered at (63Hz, 125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1 kHz, 2 kHz, 4 kHz, 8 kHz and 16 kHz). Each element's frequency response is independently adjustable. Two (2) frequency response memories and a "through" (bypass) mode are provided for each element, and are easily switchable by using one-touch buttons on the microphone base. The supplied TBC (Treble Boost Cowling) enhances the voice response around the important 1 to 1.5 kHz range. Attaching the cowling creates a condensed unique tonal texture that is pleasing for many. The PTT key uses three Air Cylinder Tubes which incorporate a contactless magnetic switch that ensures long-life and stable, noiseless operation. Yaesu's M-1 supports a wide range of Yaesu models including the FTDX-101D and FTDX101MP, FTDX10, FTDX-9000 and FTDX-5000 series, FTDX-3000/D, FTDX-1200, FT-2000/D, FT-991A, FT-891 and the FT-450/D as well as many other Yaesu rigs. Highly unidirectional cardioid dynamic microphone features a large 1.125" diaphragm for clear, full audio response. This mic features excellent articulation with a rise in response to match the characteristics of speech for superior voice intelligibility. INRAD's top of the line microphone. -INRAD DMS-650 Well-articulated overall audio with overall higher-end output punch for DX operation and for using the speech processor on the radio to drive output. A top-of-the-line mic with less low end response than the M629. -INRAD DMS-686 Excellent transmit audio response from a unique cardioid dynamic element. Compared to the M629, the M686 has a slightly elevated higher end output useful for DXing. It has a bit of lower end response as compared to the M650, to retain a well-rounded sound with punch. Black metal frame, squared off metal microphone hood. The DMS-868 is a great choice to have it 'all-in-one'. -INRAD DMS-665 Features the "retro" chrome look reminiscent of the classic Shure 565. This microphone has a little bit less high frequency output plus slightly better overall frequency response. This unique cardioid dynamic unidirectional element features a built-in spherical breath and pop filter. Sounds great! -INRAD DMS-628 Flat overall response across all vocal frequencies without any boost at specific frequencies to cut lows or highs. Excels when used with an EQ, this is a good all-purpose mic that can be used with just about any HF transceiver. Clean, clear SSB transmit audio at a nice price! These INRAD Microphones and the 2.5 pound DMS-1 PTT locking base have received an enthusiastic review in the January 2018 issue of QST magazine.
