ROHN Guy Anchor Ground Clamps
ROHN Guy Anchor Ground Clamps are used in conjunction with their Guy Anchor Grounding Kits (ROH-AGK1GGX) to provide an efficient guy-anchor ground. These grounding clamps fit round members (rod) from 0.5 to 0.75 in. nominal diameter. They will clamp AWG 6 solid or up to 7/16 HS or EHS wire rope to the solid round rod. These clamps are of tinned bronze and stainless hardware. Tinned bronze is corrosion resistant and will last a long, long time. Their high-compression U-bolt really applies pressure to the conductor and anchor rod. This high pressure creates a low-resistance connection for effective grounding. ROHN 25G/45G-Series Guy Anchor Grounding Kits
ROHN 25G/45G-Series Guy Anchor Grounding Kits are so important that they are included in each ROHN 25G and 45G complete tower package. However, when purchased from ROHN separately, this part number includes only the 30 ft. of 7/16 in. ground wire, three 10 ft. copper-clad 5/8 in. ground rods and three 3/4 in. ground rod clamps. The required R-CPC.5/.75 anchor rod clamps (three) that connect to the actual Guy Anchor Rod (and are needed to complete the grounding installation) are sold separately. Also, as these kits contain items 10 ft. in length, they can only ship truck freight. Tower grounding is the single most important effort in protecting your shack from lightning.
