Carlson Heavy-Duty 25G Hinged Tower Base Plate

Carlson Heavy-Duty 25G Hinged Tower Base Plates share the same bolt down and leg pattern as Rohn and American Tower 25G series towers, allowing any 25G tower to be tilted up or down for easy maintenance. Made in the USA to accurate tolerances for a smooth and secure fit, the all-steel construction of these extremely heavy-duty hinged base plates, along with Thermal Diffusion Galvanizing, provides a secure foundation for your tower project. Engineers thoughtfully designed all connecting points for these heavy-duty hinged base plates with larger 1/2in. hinge bolts, instead of the standard 3/8in. bolts and the tilt plate and gussets are 3/8in. thick instead of 1/4in. The mounting pegs are solid steel and recessed into the base plate for added strength. The layout of the 3 pegs is 11.25in. center-to-center and the peg diameter is 1.060in. to match the 25G tower leg dimension of 1.080in., allowing .020 of clearance. A Professional Engineer study of this design revealed these base plates are approximately 2 times the strength of their competitors. For bracketed or guyed towers.

DX Engineering Lightning Rod Kits

The use of DX Engineering Lightning Rod Mast Mounts could protect your tower, antennas and station equipment from disastrous lightning damage. DX Engineering Lightning Rod Mast Mounts are 1/8 in. heavy-duty stainless steel clamps that will long outlast your steel tower. Their optional bolts (choose DXE-LRMM-FAST by combined mast and lightning rod diameters) are also high-quality stainless steel. Together, they are extremely durable clamps to keep your lightning rod in place. Lightning searches out the path of least resistance to ground. If that path is your tower, rotator and rotor bearings, antennas and coax, or the ground and electrical connections to your rigs, then that's where it will go. Providing a better path (one with very little resistance) is the key to keeping lightning outside the shack and limiting damage. When used with proper tower grounding, a heavy rotor-bearing bypass cable and installed coaxial surge protectors, a lightning rod above your antennas may save the day. Don't ignore proper grounding and lightning protection! Make a list of all the items you need to upgrade your station's lightning defense. Make sure a mast mounted lightning rod and DX Engineering Lightning Rod Mast Mounts are added to your list.

ROHN Tower Adjustable House Brackets

ROHN Tower Adjustable House Brackets include the standard duty models for wall and eave bracing of 25G series towers that are installed as self-supporting or guyed. As with all ROHN tower accessories, these bracket models are all galvanized. ROHN Tower Adjustable House Brackets are completely adjustable, from 0 in. up to 36 in. offset depending on model, to handle most house wall bracketing installation of 25G tower where there is an overhanging eave to be cleared. These models HB25AG, HB25BG, and HB25CG are intended for use for a guyed or self-supporting ROHN 25G tower installations. Even for 25G towers that are installed with a sufficient base and design to be self-supporting, many municipalities require towers that are mounted next to a house to be bracketed to the house. ROHN Tower Adjustable House Brackets provide sufficient adjustments for virtually every tower house bracketing situation. The Universal Eave Bracket, model EB2525G, offers hinged connections which allow the tower leg clamps to remain perpendicular to the ground while bolt down supports rotate to lay flat along the pitched roof or under the pitched eave. These ROHN Tower Adjustable House Brackets are for self-supporting or guyed installations only and are not intended for bracketed only tower installations. For "Bracketed Tower" installations of ROHN 25G that are only bracketed and which are not self-supporting and will not be guyed, use the ROHN Heavy Duty Universal House Bracket model HBUTVRO.
