The CHAMELEON ANTENNA CHA MIL EXT 2.0 Portable Whip Antenna Extension has been designed to offer maximum portability and extended frequency range performance for use with the CHA MIL 2.0 whip for a portable or backpack antenna system. This collapsible antenna extension must be used with the CHA MIL 2.0 in order to create a 18 ft. 2 in. long portable antenna. The Modular Portable Antenna System is a concept allowing the radio operator to configure and deploy the antenna system in a variety of configurations. Some of the possible deployment configurations include Vertical, Horizontal, Sloper, Inverted V, Inverted L, NVIS, Balcony, Vehicle (Stationary) and Backpack Portable. The MPAS Lite antenna system consists of: • 1 X CHA HYBRID-MICRO Feedpoint with SO-239 • 1 X 60 ft. Wire • 1 X SS17 (17' long collapsible stainless steel whip) • 1 X CHA SPIKE • 1 X CHA 50 ft. coax with RFI choke • Stainless Steel Hardware Longer antenna wires, counterpoise and carry bag are user supplied. The integral broadband impedance matching network transformer of the CHA HYBRID-MICRO allows broadband antenna tuning. These antennas will operate from 1.8 - 54 MHz, continuous, without any adjustment when using a wide range antenna tuner (the shortest configuration has limited performance below 3.5 MHz).
