ICOM ID-52A VHF/UHF Multi-Function D-Star Hand-Held Transceivers allow you to enjoy portable operations like you've never seen before. The large 2.3 in. color display offers more information, an improved interface, and an industry-first color waterfall band scope for a VHF/UHF portable. The ID-52A is much more than a replacement to the ID-51A, it's a new way of communicating! An industry-first, a hand-held with a full color waterfall display and the ability to send photos over the D-STAR network. The ID-52A continues to support D-STAR functions with DR mode for easy access to local repeaters based on the internal GPS information, as well as Terminal and Access Point modes. Additionally, the radio weighs a mere 10.4 oz. (295g) and has an 80 percent increase in overall volume to hear in loud conditions. Receive Modes - Dualwatch allows for the monitoring of two frequencies or bands simultaneously. VHF/VHF, UHF/UHF and VHF/UHF monitoring are all supported along with the new ability to decode two DV signals simultaneously. Quickly call from either the main or sub bands on the fly. Enhanced UHF capabilities allow for monitoring of Military Air Bands from 225 to 374.995 MHz, and the wideband receiver allows for listening to nearby broadcast FM stations. Bluetooth Enabled Features - The ID-52A incorporates common Bluetooth profiles for audio and data controls, which provide new mobility in the palm of your hand. Icom leads the way by pairing either Icom or third-party headsets for voice communications. The optional VS-3 Bluetooth® headset with the large PTT button allows for hands-free operation. Integrated GPS/GLONASS Receiver - With a GPS lock, use the D-PRS mode to send location data, as well as show received station location, distance, and direction. Yaesu RF u-Tune* filters, pronounced "Mu-Tune", are the most advanced and selective receiver front-end preselector filters ever made available for Amateur Radio transceivers. Adding ultra-sharp selectivity, these devices dramatically enhance the receive performance of compatible Yaesu transceivers. The receiver front-end pass band provided by Yaesu RF Mu-Tune Preselector is an amazing 10 to 30 kHz, depending upon band. This can be of tremendous value in ensuring clear and quiet reception on crowded bands, especially during contest and DX operations. RF Mu-Tune Kits are external add-on options which are available in three band coverage models for ONLY Yaesu transceiver model series' FT-dx5000, FT-dx3000, FT-dx1200, FT-950 and FT-2000. Choose any one, two or three units for the band coverage you desire: *RF Mu Tune Kit A External Preselector for 160 meters *RF Mu Tune Kit B External Preselector for 80 and 40 meters *RF Mu Tune Kit C External Preselector for 30 and 20 meters Connection cables are included with each kit for the use of one, two or all three of these external units with any of the excellent Yaesu transceivers listed above.
