PicoAPRS-Lite APRS Transceiver Module - the little brother of the popular PicoAPRS. This is a tiny APRS tracker weighing just 7.2 grams*! Even though the PicoAPRS-Lite was developed with balloon flights with APRS payload (Pico balloons and stratosphere balloons) in mind, it can naturally also be used for many more APRS purposes. Thanks to its small measurements of just 27.8 x 66.9 x 6.3mm this tiny tracker can, for example, be installed nearly invisibly in cars. This allows for APRS usage without annoying wiring in the car or too short antenna cables. You can even carry the tracker around in your pocket! An SMA antenna jack is offered separately since its weight of about 2 grams is an unnecessary extra load for the light Pico balloons. This is also the reason why the tracker is being delivered without a case. Special functions of the PicoAPRS-Lite: - Automatic or manual frequency tuning on request. E.g. automatic for worldwide balloon flights. - In areas without APRS coverage and with automatic frequency tuning the ISS APRS frequency is used to be heard even in these situations. - Temperature and air pressure sensor. When operating with a solar panel and buffer capacitor the service voltage will usually drop to zero at night. With sunrise the device will be operational soon again. It's important that the tracker can be used with as little power as possible. A voltage regulator would cause a voltage drop which would be inconvenient during sunrise/sundown. To limit the maximum operating voltage a beacon will automatically be transmitted when reaching about 5V in balloon solar mode to use up stored energy. Doing so the maximum operating voltage won't be exceeded even when the idle solar cell provides too much voltage. *1) Weight without antenna jack, case or any energy source. Suggest accessories to be obtained from other sources: - SMA jack for circuit board mounting, upright, with long thread, for single hole fixing. DX Engineering Boom Element Plates are used to build long-boom monoband directional antennas for the standard bands, 20 through 6 meters. They are made from a very strong 3/8 in. thick insulating material, each predrilled for specific DX Engineering saddle clamps and sized dependent upon band and element type, driven or parasitic. They accommodate the mounting of aluminum antenna elements to a 3-inch boom for special beam antenna kits. This series of insulated plates have no hardware; they are component parts used in the DXE-EBB Element to Boom Bracket Kits which include one plate and the appropriate sizes and number of saddle clamps, depending upon band and element type. The EAntenna EA60JR Dipole is designed as a mono-band antenna for 60 meter, which also functions on the 15 meter band. It has an overall length of 16 meters (52.5 ft.) when installed as an Inverted-V; and a bandwidth over 100 kHz of 60 meters and over 500 KHz on 15 meters with a minimum SWR of 1.1:1 at 5330 kHz when installed at 10 meters (33 ft.) above ground. Maximum power is 1.5 kW continuous. Adjust the EAntenna EA60JR Dipole antenna resonance by 50 kHz with a 5 cm (2 in.) cut on each end of the dipole. All our antennas are computer designed and optimized, based on NEC2 and NEC4 engine. 4O3A A50 Antenna/Load Switches serve as 50-ohm loads for open ports on the HFC4500 combiner or other multiplexer, preventing tuning degradation. Applying 12V power connects the input to the combiner's output, linking it to the corresponding combiner or filter. A typical setup switches a filter or a combiner to a monoband antenna. When the A50 is not powered, the switch defaults to a 50-ohm termination for the input and the antenna output is open. NOTE: The A50 is NOT an A/B switch. The manufacturer's label of "A/B Switch" is a product grouping, NOT an indication of the function of this product. The LOAD resistor is internal, so one of three connectors is unnecessary, which leaves an open hole in the chassis, a "normal feature" of the A50.

TBX Tower Hardware Packs are provided with every TBX tower. The hardware packages contain all of the nuts, joint bolts, and other hardware needed to assemble your new TBX tower. Each hardware pack is keyed to your specific tower height and model. Whether your new tower is 24 ft. tall, 64 ft. tall, or somewhere in between, having the proper hardware is just as significant. It's also good to know that if the hardware is lost, stolen, or otherwise unavailable, a replacement package is readily available. Chelegance JNCRadio CS-818 Auto Tuners are the perfect companion to the Yaesu FT-818/817 transceivers and come equipped to fully control the tuning process for these transceivers. The CS-818 can operate from 1.8–54 MHz and is more than just a tuner, it also features an SWR and power meter. The 1.3 in. OLED display will show current SWR and Power input readings along with a battery level indicator. Its compact size and up to 50 hours of battery life make the CS-818 perfect for SOTA, POTA and other QRP portable operations.
