SOTAbeams Filter Boards and Band Component Kits
SOTAbeams Filter Boards and Band Kits are used for the WSPRlite Classic, WSPRlite Flexi, or for your own QRP transmitter, SDR front-end filter projects or on any receiver. Choose the Low Pass Filter Board and Band Kit components for the specific bands on which you want to use your WSPRlite. Build these high performance seven-element Chebyshev low pass filters to eliminate harmonics and spurs. They function bi-directionally and may be used for QRP transceivers or for receive. Each board features a manual band change jumper header and comes with a SMA male cable to connect to the WSPR lite and a board mount SMA female connector for your antenna feedline adapter or adapter cable. SOTAbeams Filter Boards and Band Kits are available in four versions. These three have a revised board layout: - SBM-LOWPASSKIT Low Pass Filter Kit for 160, 80 and 40 meters, version 1.2 Board - SBM-LOWPASSKITHB Low Pass Kit for 20, 15 and 10 meters, version 1.2 Board These two include the filter components, connector and one cable. - SBM-PCB3BLPF Low Pass Printed Circuit Board only, version 1.2 Board. This kit includes only the board, SMA connector and one cable. Add to your cart the specific component Band Kits for the bands you want to use. All 11 bands are available from 160-6 meters. After you finish building one of these three boards, it fits into the updated accessory enclosure model DXE-LPFV1-2-CASE. NOTE: These three version 1.2 Boards DO NOT fit into the DXE-SB-LPF-CASE -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - SBM-LPFKITDXEPCB Low Pass Filter Kit for 160, 80 and 40 meters, version 1.1 Board. SOTAbeams LASERBEAM DSP Filter Modules
SOTAbeams LASERBEAM DSP Filter Modules work much better at reducing QRM than mechanical or analog filters. SOTAbeams applies special algorithm-based software to create well-defined passbands with steep contours. SOTAbeams offers their General Purpose, CW and SSB filter modules with switchable passbands. For example, the CW module (SBM-LB-MODULE-CW) may be used with either a 550 to 850 Hz passband, or a wider 300 to 1300 Hz passband. You choose the passband based on your own band conditions. Their SSB module (SBM-LB-MODULESSB) features passbands of either 300 to 2700 Hz or 300 to 2400 Hz. SOTAbeams designers have determined that these passbands work very well for SSB voice filtering. They offer their General Purpose filter module (SBM-LB-MODULE-GP) to accommodate both CW and SSB. These modules have selectable passbands of 550 to 850 Hz and also 300 to 2700 Hz. In this way you may limit CW or SSB QRM that is outside the selected audio passband. Be advised that these modules are NOT of the plug-in style. To use them takes some knowledge and soldering skill. You will also have to add an enclosure, if desired, as well as external parts not supplied with the PCBs. As designed, these modules will drive typical "low power" earbuds all by themselves. They will also drive audio amplifiers or amplified speakers. VE2DX Electronics Accessory Port Breakout Boxes offer a simple, straightforward way to connect your transceiver to other devices with easy-to-use pinout breakout boxes. One for ICOM 8-pin DIN or 13-pin DIN and another for Kenwood 13-pin DIN Accessory port radios, offering remarkably simple access to the signals available via eight 3.5mm mono connectors. DIN plug pins are extremely close together and particularly challenging to solder. Your radio can be internally damaged if you make an incorrect or shorted pin connection. Use VE2DX Electronics Accessory Port Breakout Boxes to reduce the chances of error and to simplify the connections. Connect your devices with confidence as all signals and grounds on the VE2DX Electronics Accessory Port Breakout Boxes are RFI-Filtered and PCBs are fully shielded on both sides. DX Engineering SOTAbeams Low Pass Filter Enclosures provide all of the parts to house your SOTAbeams filter boards to work with your WSPRlite Classic or Flexi. Construction of the enclosure and installation of the filter and is easy to accomplish. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Please note, presently we have two enclosures due to the change made by SOTAbeams: DXE-LPFV1-2-CASE is the new enclosure that fits the newer LOWPASSKIT, LOWPASSKITHB and PCB3LPF v1.2 boards. DXE-SB-LPF-CASE is the old enclosure that fits the original SOTAbeams Low Pass Filter v1.1 boards, which we have renumbered as part SBM-LPFKITDXEPCB. Supplies of these originals are limited, and when they sell out they are discontinued. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Made of aluminum for excellent shielding, the enclosure has a soft grommet to protect the SMA cable and two removable covers for the access holes to allow easy manual band switching of the filter. VE2DX Electronics SO2R 2X6 Remote Antenna Switches
VE2DX Electronics SO2R 2X6 Remote Antenna Switches provide selection of any six antennas for connection to two radios, covering the frequency range of 1.8 to 60 MHz. All control signals are RFI filtered as are all VE2DX Electronics printed circuit boards (PCB) with shielding on both sides. Each SO-239 (UHF female) antenna port features five relays to achieve a design with over 80db port isolation and full legal limit power handling. The simplicity of this 2X6 design allows the use of only 2 coax cables from the station to the tower. Both radio ports have access to any of the unselected 6 antenna ports. The VE2DX Electronics SO2R 2X6 Remote Antenna Switches is available in both 12VDC and 24VDC versions; the 24VDC version is for installation that requires a longer control line to the Remote Antenna Switch . Each provides a terminal for a 12VDC line inside the weatherproof unit for remote accessories. VE2DX Electronics SO2R 2X6 Remote Antenna Switches may be controlled by third party switch consoles, station controllers and computer automation that supports two sets of 1 of 6 selection. A weatherproof chassis protects the electronics; units should be installed outdoors with connectors facing downward.
