WiMo Aluminum Telescoping Masts
WiMo Aluminum Telescoping Masts are convenient for many tasks. Made of a strong yet lightweight weather-resistant alloy, these metric-sized masts are primarily intended for temporary and portable use. They may also be used for long-term installations with the WiMo WMO-23050 Metal Guy Ring Kit. The versatile masts have a range of uses, including vertical antenna construction, installation of weather stations, and mounting of a security camera. They're made of slotted aluminum tubing that can be extended to the desired length. Mast models are available with extended lengths of 5 to 16 meters (16.4 to 52.5 ft.). Each section can be locked solidly in place with the attached clamps. Load capacity of the masts is determined by the clamping length and height; depending on the diameter, weights up to 4 kg (8.818 lbs.) or more are possible. The maximum extension length of each section is limited by a marking ring at approximately 20cm (7.874 in.) above the bottom of the tube. The sizes of the telescoping aluminum tubing are in 5mm (0.197 in.) increments, with a nominal wall thickness of 2mm (0.079 in.).

DX Engineering Aluminum Tubing
DX Engineering High-Strength Aluminum Tubes are ideal for your antenna building projects. It is made available in sizes that fit into and over the next, with close tolerances specifically designed for strength when joined and overlapping only by a few to several inches, to build Yagi, Moxon or vertical antenna elements. NOTE: This tubing is NOT intended for each size to telescope completely into the full length of the next; it cannot be used for telescopic mast building. DX Engineering aluminum tubing is manufactured to very close tolerances. This provides the greatest amount of surface contact between nesting tubes for mechanical and electrical stability. Due to the close tolerance, any burrs, dirt, grit or other foreign material, as well as dents, dings and unseen bending or crushing suffered during shipment will cause binding that prevents this aluminum tubing from fully nesting. 6063-T832 seamless drawn aluminum tubing is available in 3, 6 and 12 ft. lengths. 6063-T832 tubing provides good resistance to general corrosion, including stress corrosion cracking, and an excellent surface appearance. Use a series of 3 ft. lengths to build an element that tapers more quickly for lower wind-resistance applications. Use a series of 6 ft. lengths to make an element that tapers more slowly for greater strength and bandwidth. The 12 ft. lengths are great for HF Yagi construction. Most sizes (except 12 ft.) are available slit on one end for use with DX Engineering stainless steel element clamps. If un-slit ends are required for your applications, merely insert the slit end into the next larger size in the stack and use your own attachment method. 6063-T832 tubing features a 0.058 in. wall thickness and is available in 1/8 in. increments from 3/8 in. to 2-1/8 in. O.D. 3003-H14 drawn aluminum tubing features a 0.035 inch wall thickness and a 1/4 inch outside diameter. Each piece is supplied with non slit ends and is available in both 3 foot and 6 foot lengths, making them ideal for your antenna building projects. If your setup requires maximum strength at very long assembly lengths, then choose DX Engineering 6061-T8 tubing. This heavy-duty version features a 0.120 in. wall thickness and is available in 1/4 in. increments from 1-1/2 in. to 3 in. O.D. Packaged shipments of 6 ft. tubing have oversize shipping fees, regardless of the number of 6 ft. pieces. Therefore, order more 6 ft. pieces to spread oversize fees over more tubing for a more cost effective shipment. Tubing that is 12 ft. long MUST be shipped by truck freight. Par EndFedz® Antennas
Par EndFedz® Antennas are End Fed Half Wave (EFHW) antennas with the match box coax connection at the end of the wire, for convenient and quick stealth portable operations. These single-band and multi-band antennas can be mounted horizontally, vertically, or as a sloper. No ground plane or counterpoise is needed so portable operation could not be easier. Simply hang the far end from a tree limb or send the wire out a hotel room window or balcony. You can use a telescoping fiberglass mast to get the antenna really high in the air and the supplied end insulators the installation easy. Stealth operation in CC&R and HOA antenna restricted locations is simplified. Their all-black construction makes them difficult to see. Each Par EndFedz® features a UV-resistant black ABS plastic housing with a support rope attachment hole that encloses a matching network to allow the antenna to be fed with standard 50 ohm coaxial cable with a PL-259 (UHF male). All hardware is stainless steel and the SO-239 (UHF female) connector is silver plated and has a PTFE dielectric. The antenna wires are either 18 or 26 AWG stranded Copperweld® with 200 pound breaking strength and a tough, 100% UV stable black polyethylene jacket. One end of the antenna wire has a #10 solder lug making attachment to the matching network feedpoint simple and easily replaceable, if necessary. Standard single and multi-band versions handle 100 or 200 watts and higher power versions handle 300 watts. Lightweight QRP PolyStealth models handle 25 watts and are ideal for portable operation because they are lightweight; the MKII model weighs only 8 ounces and the Trail Friendly model weighs only 3.5 oz. Par EndFedz® Antennas require no counterpoise or extra conductors. The EF-ALLBAND-KW model, about 133 ft. in length, covers eight bands, 80 through 10 meters. The ALLBANDKWJR is 74 ft. in length and operates on five bands, 80-10 meters. The 64 ft. EF-40-10-KW operates on four bands. All three models handle up to 1000 watts SSB/CW and 250 watts AM/Digital Modes. The need for an external tuner may vary based on the antenna model selected and the desired operating band. The manufacturer refers to these antennas as "End-Fed Dipoles" based upon the assertion that a "half-wave radiator is a dipole." This is a variant of the classic definition of a dipole which is a center-fed antenna with two radiating legs running in opposite directions from the feed point. Additional claims about the EFHW state that end feeding a half-wave "can energize the radiator 'nearly' as well as a center-fed." Recent anecdotal measurements indicate that the EFHW radiates about 70% as well as a traditional center-fed dipole. More information is available at each Par EndFedz® model listed below.
