Par EndFedz® Antennas
Par EndFedz® Antennas are End Fed Half Wave (EFHW) antennas with the match box coax connection at the end of the wire, for convenient and quick stealth portable operations. These single-band and multi-band antennas can be mounted horizontally, vertically, or as a sloper. No ground plane or counterpoise is needed so portable operation could not be easier. Simply hang the far end from a tree limb or send the wire out a hotel room window or balcony. You can use a telescoping fiberglass mast to get the antenna really high in the air and the supplied end insulators the installation easy. Stealth operation in CC&R and HOA antenna restricted locations is simplified. Their all-black construction makes them difficult to see. Each Par EndFedz® features a UV-resistant black ABS plastic housing with a support rope attachment hole that encloses a matching network to allow the antenna to be fed with standard 50 ohm coaxial cable with a PL-259 (UHF male). All hardware is stainless steel and the SO-239 (UHF female) connector is silver plated and has a PTFE dielectric. The antenna wires are either 18 or 26 AWG stranded Copperweld® with 200 pound breaking strength and a tough, 100% UV stable black polyethylene jacket. One end of the antenna wire has a #10 solder lug making attachment to the matching network feedpoint simple and easily replaceable, if necessary. Standard single and multi-band versions handle 100 or 200 watts and higher power versions handle 300 watts. Lightweight QRP PolyStealth models handle 25 watts and are ideal for portable operation because they are lightweight; the MKII model weighs only 8 ounces and the Trail Friendly model weighs only 3.5 oz. Par EndFedz® Antennas require no counterpoise or extra conductors. The EF-ALLBAND-KW model, about 133 ft. in length, covers eight bands, 80 through 10 meters. The ALLBANDKWJR is 74 ft. in length and operates on five bands, 80-10 meters. The 64 ft. EF-40-10-KW operates on four bands. All three models handle up to 1000 watts SSB/CW and 250 watts AM/Digital Modes. The need for an external tuner may vary based on the antenna model selected and the desired operating band. The manufacturer refers to these antennas as "End-Fed Dipoles" based upon the assertion that a "half-wave radiator is a dipole." This is a variant of the classic definition of a dipole which is a center-fed antenna with two radiating legs running in opposite directions from the feed point. Additional claims about the EFHW state that end feeding a half-wave "can energize the radiator 'nearly' as well as a center-fed." Recent anecdotal measurements indicate that the EFHW radiates about 70% as well as a traditional center-fed dipole. More information is available at each Par EndFedz® model listed below. DX Engineering Off Center Fed High Power Dipole Kits
DX Engineering Off Center Fed (OCF) dipole wire antenna kits use two different lengths of antenna wire (dipole legs) to achieve operation on the HF bands. A slightly elevated SWR is the trade-off for a single wire antenna that covers multiple bands efficiently. On most bands, the internal tuner in modern transceivers will match the antenna feedline when the SWR is 3:1 or less. On frequencies where the SWR is above 3:1 SWR, an ATU external to the rig may be needed. DX Engineering Off Center Fed Dipoles are designed to be rugged yet lightweight, and handles 1,500 watts SSB and CW. These kits include two lengths of premium 14 gauge relaxed PVC antenna wire, each with a ring terminal soldered on one end; one DXE-MC20-C4-1 DX Engineering Maxi-Core® 4:1 Dual Core Balun (with SO-239); the DXE-WA-BMB Dipole Center Insulator Mounting Bracket for Maxi-Core® Balun including End Insulators; and Stainless Steel hardware. Add supports, coax and rope to your order for a complete multi-band antenna installation.

DX Engineering Low Power Portable Dipole and Winder Kits
DX Engineering Low Power Portable Dipole and Winder Kits supply the parts for a fun DIY build of a lightweight resonant HF antenna. They are designed for fast portable operations on 40 meters or higher frequency bands. Making your own Single Band or Dual Band Linked Dipole is easy and fun, especially because once they are built, they are designed to repeatedly and quickly unwind, install, make contacts on the air, wind up and go! Typically set up as an Inverted Vee, DXE-LPB1-DWHF series portable dipoles are a perfect match for DX Engineering Nomad Portable Telescopic Masts (sold separately). Great for POTA, SOTA and JOTA, here are some of the best, low-cost DIY antenna kits available for 'on-the-go' amateur radio. Here's what comes in the lightweight DX Engineering Low Power Portable Dipole and Winder Kits: • Center Insulator with a 1:1 Low Power Balun, 50-ohm (max. RF power 250 watts PEP SSB, 100 watts CW or Digital); BNC female right-angle connector pre-installed. • 24 Gauge Stranded Hi-Visibility Yellow Insulated Wire; 80 feet, Two 40 ft. sections. • 4 Link Insulators support the wire and may be used to "break up" the dipole into multiband sections. • 4 Alligator Clips are used two per link, one link per side makes a two band dipole. • 4 Clip Hooks for user supplied rope. • 1 Snap Hook to support the Center Insulator Balun on a Nomad Portable Mast • 3 easy to hold DX Engineering Red Winders for the portable dipole wires and user supplied coaxial cable; Winders have notches and holes for a variety of uses. • One bag of Bongo Ties (available in variety of colors) to secure wires onto Winders. Resonant, low-SWR operation is accommodated on two bands by adding a pair of Band Links. Changing bands is done easily by linking or unlinking pairs of clips on opposite sides of the dipole. With the center of the antenna at 15 to 20 ft. high, and the ends of the dipole a few feet above the ground, the links are easy to reach. Additional band link kits (DXE-LINK-KIT) are available separately to create multiband linked dipole antennas. Each optional Link Kit has the parts for one additional band and contains 2 insulators, 4 'gator clips and 4 clip covers. The Center Insulator 1:1 Balun feedpoint BNC is easily connected with super thin DXE-174VDB or special adapter DXE-8XVDXB DX Engineering Hi-Visibility Orange Coaxial Cables, available in various lengths. Set up at a park or other portable operating site quickly! Get DX Engineering Low Power Portable Dipole and Winder Kits and build up a new pastime!
