Yaesu M-1 Reference Microphones

Yaesu M-1 Reference Microphones are the ultimate, high-quality, most-innovative desktop microphones and are dedicated to the most discriminating Ham Radio Operators. They feature combined Condenser (Electret) and Dynamic microphone elements. The Condenser Microphone Element produces greater frequency response and a clear, crisp audio characteristic that's perfect for being heard on crowded bands and in big DX pile-ups. The Dynamic Microphone Element delivers the rich low to mid tonalities, much favored for local QSOs and rag chewing. The response of each microphone element may be adjusted independently using the internal, Nine (9) Band, Graphic Equalizer. Each element has a separate gain control for independent adjustment of output levels. The output of each microphone may be selected separately, or they may be combined to produce the most pleasant tonal quality. Both the Condenser Element and Dynamic Element in the M-1 utilize the Nine (9) Band Graphic Equalizer centered at (63Hz, 125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1 kHz, 2 kHz, 4 kHz, 8 kHz and 16 kHz). Each element's frequency response is independently adjustable. Two (2) frequency response memories and a "through" (bypass) mode are provided for each element, and are easily switchable by using one-touch buttons on the microphone base. The supplied TBC (Treble Boost Cowling) enhances the voice response around the important 1 to 1.5 kHz range. Attaching the cowling creates a condensed unique tonal texture that is pleasing for many. The PTT key uses three Air Cylinder Tubes which incorporate a contactless magnetic switch that ensures long-life and stable, noiseless operation. Yaesu's M-1 supports a wide range of Yaesu models including the FTDX-101D and FTDX101MP, FTDX10, FTDX-9000 and FTDX-5000 series, FTDX-3000/D, FTDX-1200, FT-2000/D, FT-991A, FT-891 and the FT-450/D as well as many other Yaesu rigs. NOTE: Do NOT use this microphone on the following: FT-2400H / -7400 series, FT-2500 or FT-8500. Damage may result from modular jack wiring incompatibility. This unique cardioid dynamic unidirectional element features a built-in spherical breath and pop filter. Sounds great! -INRAD DMS-628 Flat overall response across all vocal frequencies without any boost at specific frequencies to cut lows or highs. Excels when used with an EQ, this is a good all-purpose mic that can be used with just about any HF transceiver. Clean, clear SSB transmit audio at a nice price! These INRAD Microphones and the 2.5 pound DMS-1 PTT locking base have received an enthusiastic review in the January 2018 issue of QST magazine. DX Engineering RXSHARE Audio Switch

Multi-operator contesting is challenging, especially when a pair of operators are unable to hear what the other operator is hearing. DX Engineering presents an elegant but simple solution with the "R X SHARE" – a flexible audio switching device that allows two operators to hear exactly what they want to hear, whenever they want to hear it. Audio from two separate radios or one shared radio can be controlled by either operator's three-position rocker switch to select the specific audio they want fed to their stereo headphones. With the RXSHARE Audio Switch placed between each operator, these selections can be changed independently by each operator quickly and easily, at will and on the fly, with the light-touch rocker switches. The RXSHARE has been extensively tested and used in competition by experienced, world-class contesters. Click More Detail for a complete description of the methods of specific uses for the DXE-RXSHARE Audio Switch. Simply stated, the DXE-RXSHARE provides complete control of the radio audio feed to two separate stereo headphones. It is useful for multi-operator and single operator contesting, with two radios or one. The RX SHARE allows each operator to choose to listen to one, the other or both channels of audio. One operator will be able to hear when a new station is ready to be worked, or when the other operator is going to work them. Better coordination and fewer interruptions translates to a higher QSO rate, higher scores and less operator fatigue! Each audio channel is transformer-isolated to prevent ground-coupled crosstalk or RFI. The transformers handle a full 1 watt of audio with configurable impedance levels for clean, non-distorted audio at any volume. Audio from typical radio headphone jacks to the DXE-RXSHARE input phone jacks are quickly and easily connected with user supplied patch cables with 1/4 inch (6.35mm) stereo phone plugs at each end. Alternative cables would be required for transceivers with 1/8 inch (3.5mm) headphone jacks. The unit features two sets of stereo headphone outputs including 1/4 inch (6.35mm) and 1/8 inch (3.5mm) stereo jacks to accommodate headphones or headsets with either type of plug - you'll never hunt for an adaptor again! Audio levels are controlled by the transceiver AF Gain controls. DXE-RXSHARE Audio Switch - Features and Specifications: - Quick connections from radios to RXSHARE via 1/4 in. stereo audio input (patch cables required depend on transceiver headphone jacks and cable length desired) - Four stereo headphone output connections available – two of each size for each operator- 1/4 inch (6.35mm) and 1/8 inch (3.5mm) – extra headphone outputs may be used for recording purposes - Center rocker switch to quickly choose the RXSHARE mode, SEPARATE RADIOS or SHARED RADIO - Two separate and silent rocker switches at ideal height to make independent operator audio selections - Both operators may select audio from Radio 1, Radio 2 or both in SEPARATE RADIOS mode - Both operators can select audio from MAIN or SUB or both in SHARED RADIO mode that supplies MAIN and SUB receiver audio separately to headphone L and R - Unit stays in place on desk during use - Large, heavy stainless and powder coated steel chassis weighs 3.75 lbs. and measures 10.50 x 2.50 x 3.25 in. (WHD) - Stud and wing nut (#10) on rear stainless steel panel for station grounding - All connections on rear panel for proper cable management and a clear operating desk - Passive audio device requires no DC power - Internal jumpers allow audio impedance selection for different radio and headphone combinations DX Engineering brings innovation and convenience to contest stations, club operations and multi-radio ham shacks.
