The FT5DR supports simultaneous C4FM digital (C4FM/C4FM standby) and the convenient TOUCH & GO feature allows fast access for communications on often-used frequencies.
The FT5DR high-resolution display highlights the frequency of the operational band with its color display selectable to white, blue, or red. Three touch panel keys and the backlit 7-button key pad below the display provide intuitive operability. The Band Scope function monitors in real time, up to 79 displayed channels centered on the current VFO frequency. The center frequency can be tuned by the dial knob or by touching and moving the frequency of a displayed channel bar.
With rubber protection on the corners of the main body, the FT5DR has rugged and shock-resistant construction with an upgraded waterproof rating of IPX7. The comfortable size and form of the full-flat back body provides an excellent grip of the radio.
The FT5DR C4FM digital communication features include Automatic Mode Select (AMS), Digital Group ID (DG-ID) operation, Smart Navigation function and the FT5DR supports the WiRES-X Portable Digital Node Function.
