DX Engineering Split Element Insulators
DX Engineering Split Element Insulators are designed to fit between two pieces of our 0.750 in. O.D. aluminum tubing that are being used for the for center mounting portion of a split driven element. When building a Yagi or rotatable dipole an insulated and split driven element is required, so these Split Element Insulators are perfect for use with the Insulated Boom-to-Element Bracket model DXE-BEB-3. They allow the element to be securely clamped without crushing the tube. In Yagi applications, split element insulators allow use of Hairpin Matching Systems. These insulators are manufactured from HDPE, UV-inhibited material for maximum durability. DX Engineering Fiberglass Rod Insulators are used as the center insulator in the driven elements of long-boom monoband directional antennas for the standard bands, 20 through 6 meters. They are each predrilled for specific element tubing, selected according to outside diameter (OD), depending upon band.
