Daiwa CS-401 Four Position Coax Switches feature clearly arranged input and output connectors for easy identification of connection positions and supports DC to 500MHz operation. It features four SO-239 output ports with a unique switching mechanism that ensures over 60dB isolation at 200MHz and grounds inactive antenna ports for enhanced safety. The CS-401 offers a maximum power rating of 2.5kW PEP (1kW CW), 50-ohm impedance, and less than 0.2dB insertion loss.

The inactive antenna ports are always grounded to ensure stable and efficient switching. If any of the four positions are unused, selecting that port during a thunderstorm can help protect the radio from lightning-induced surges. However, note that a direct lightning strike to the connected antenna may still cause damage.
